(berkeley) berkeley . yea welcome you got reservations today no please (laughter) you haven't found anybody acting badly.. well the parks closed i know so you haven't found anyone acting badly yes muir woods national monument in marin county was officially closed because people in washington dc couldn't agree to a budget . officially closed meant that there was no adult supervision at the park which meant people did whatever they pleases .for example. normally, dogs are not permitted in the park pretty

can't keep you out i found the sign. it wasn't really an invite. it basically advised people that they if they do enter, it's at your own risk .i found that without rangers people will wander endlessly in the middle of the road .. and park wherever they please ..oh and private buses, uber and lyft were still dropping people off with no way to get back thank goodness the shutdown has ended . can you imagine multiple days at the park with no adult supervision i think i'm going to go to the beach . there's a muir beach not to far from here ..at muir woods national monument stanley roberts kron 4 news ( rebecca ) and i am tracking your bay area forecast. ( robin ) this morning there are some new numbers on how digital technology is actually making teenagers less happy. kron 4's catherine heenan has the details. i''ve been dreaming about this phone. i need this phone. i need it. 2007 was the year that america got what it wanted.(gabe) the i-phone is an ipod, digital camera, video player, and cell phone all in one device. within five years, most americans owned a smartphone.... they really did invent that entire experience that we take for granted today. just the fluidity of

electronic devices are 71 percent more likely to have at least one risk factor for suicide.and that is just one example ( robin ) new driver's licenses are coming to california... and yesterday was the first day you could apply for a -'real i-d.' eventually the federal government won't accept current california i-d's as valid....so getting a federally-compliant 'real i-d' is something most people will need to do. kron four's spencer blake has the details. the license or i-d card you get at the d-m-v will always be accepted on a state level. but unless it has the same verification as, say, a passport...it soon won't fly with federal agencies like the t-s-a."there's no need to rush into a dmv field office right away; a valid california driver license or id card can still be used for federal purposes until october first, 2020."after that, one of the new 'real i-d's' or a passport
4:53 am
would be needed to get you into, say a military base or any other secure federal facility."no one explained it, i just knew about it. just about the basics of how you can get into certain places. if you don't have it then you can't."to get it, you must apply áin-person at the d-m-v with the following or similar documents:a birth certificate....a social security card....and valid mail that proves your california address.standup"if gathering up all that paperwork is just too much for you right now, you don't have to get the real id; you can choose not to. but if your driver's license is going to expire anyway, there are some other reasons that may make it beneficial to go ahead and do it."the cost for a federally- compliant driver's license is the same as a non-compliant one - 35 bucks.once you get it over with, you can then return to renewing your i-d every five years by mail or online. "i think it's more of an advantage because you have more stuff that you can do with your id or driver's license.""i think it would be more convenient just to - you're always gonna have your license on you versus carrying your passport."though minors
4:54 am
don't need an i-d to board a plane with a parent, the d-m-v recommends that 16- and 17- year-olds go ahead and get the real i-d, because they would need to bring in the same stack of documents for a first-time license, anyway. various bay area d-m-v offices are now open on saturday mornings...to facilitate real i-d applications.in concord, spencer blake, kron four news. ( darya ) new driver's licenses are coming to california... and yesterday was the first day you could apply for a -'real i-d.' eventually the federal government won't accept current california i-d's as valid....so getting a federally-compliant 'real i-d' is something most people will need to do. kron four's spencer blake has the details. the license or i-d card you get at the d-m-v will always be accepted on a state level. but unless it has the same verification as, say, a passport...it soon won't fly with federal agencies like the t-s-a."there's no need to rush into a dmv field office right away; a valid california driver license or id card can still be used for federal purposes until october first, 2020."after that, one of the new 'real i-d's' or a passport would be needed to get you into, say a military base or any other secure federal facility."no one explained it, i just knew about it. just about the basics of how you can get into certain places.
6:23 am
if you don't have it then you can't."to get it, you must apply áin-person at the d-m-v with the following or similar documents:a birth certificate....a social security card....and valid mail that proves your california address.standup"if gathering up all that paperwork is just too much for you right now, you don't have to get the real id; you can choose not to. but if your driver's license is going to expire anyway, there are some other reasons that may make it beneficial to go ahead and do it."the cost for a federally- compliant driver's license is the same as a non-compliant one - 35 bucks.once you get it over with, you can then return to renewing your i-d every five years by mail or online. "i think it's more of an advantage because you have more stuff that you can do with your id or driver's license.""i think it would be more convenient just to - you're always gonna have your license on you versus carrying your passport."though minors don't need an i-d to board a plane with a parent, the d-m-v recommends that 16- and 17- year-olds go ahead and get the real i-d, because they would need to bring in the same stack of documents for a

( darya) a big story we continue to follow: with a deadiler than usual flu season hitting the bay area, we have gotten some reports of local pharmacy's selling out of the vaccine. kron4's maureen kelly looks into whether or not we are experiencing an vaccine shortage. this sign hanging in a cvs pharmacy says it all....sold out of flu shots.it was the same story here at the cvs on center avenue in martinez....a worker there telling kron4 that they ran out of the vaccine last week and weren't sure when they'd get it back. while another location of the pharmacy chain on alahambra avenue said all they had was the high dose, the version for those aged 65 and older. while the walgreens on the same street was out of the high dose, but could still give the regular flu shot.now the rite aid on arnold drive has no supply problems as yet.
