activity in the south bay following an officer-involved shooting.... however, the full details of the incident are still unclear... it happened yesterday on feller avenue between story road and alum rock avenue. one suspect was taken into custody and taken to the hosiptal. we do not yet know the identity of that person or their condition. we also do not know what prompted the shooting... or if any officers were injured. however, we did learn late last night that a female suspect was armed with a shotgun. ( robin ) another big story we are following... a bay area ballet teacher is accused of raping one of his students. he worked for the west lake school of performing arts in daly city. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the details. there are several videos of 54

year old victor nikolaevich kabaniaev dancing that he's posted online...this one to youtube. the ballet teacher was arrested in his san mateo home on friday after a student claimed he raped her when she was younger than 14 years old - launching a months-long investigation.kavaniaev had instructed at several schools across the bay area most recently at the westlake school for the performing arts sot: anthony ibe, parent// "first thought that came to mind is did any of my kids have class with him and whats the school going to do to about this because i'd like to know they're not going to just sweep it under the rug and have some kind of discussions about it."but the allegations stem from a time when he taught in contra costa county. he worked as a guest teacher at contra costa ballet more than a decade ago where former colleagues were disturbed by news of his arrest saying he was very professional.sot: zola dishong, contra costa ballet director// "i'm extremely shocked and i'm hoping that it's not true and

( robin ) a sting was then set up for friday night... and melvin flemings was arrested at mount eden high school. last year flemings was busted for the same offense in roseville. .. police are now launching an all out investigation on flemings and his activities. ( robin ) investigators in the east bay are trying to figure out what caused a plane to crash. the deadly crash happened yesterday morning... south of military ocean terminal concord. that's a military base in concord. according to an f-a-a spokesperson... the one person onboard the single-engine plane was killed in the crash. the f-a-a and n-t-s-b are investigating the cause of the crash. this morning showing a police chase that went across two bay area bridges... it started near the bay bridge toll plaza... an officer spotted the black chevy pickup driving in the carpool lane.. when the officer tried the pull the driver over - the driver took off...into san francisco.. down 101.. across the san mateo bridge. the chase ended in hayward. the driver was taken into custody. ( robin ) happening today... president trump will deliver his first state of the union address. and as white house correspondent mark meredith explains, the president is expected to focus his agenda on three important topics. nat of trump: "i hope its gonna be good, we worked on it hard"president trump says he's optimistic his first state of the union address will be well received by both congress and the public.and white house sources say the president will focus on three key goals: rebuilding america's infrastructure, passing comprehensive immigration reform, and investing in the nations' economy.nat: "president trump is one of the

most in the numbers guys i've ever seen"kevin hassett is the chairman of the president's council of economic advisors. he says in the speech, the president will promote the recently passed republican tax bill.but also ask americans to re-think how much growth is still possible. "he understand why the middle class hasn't kept up, and he's got policies that will hit on that, and the economy is starting to respond to that" the president is also expected to ask congress to spend hundreds of billions of dollars to improve american infrastructure. but gary nordlinger, a , says don't expect the president to release a detailed plan.at least not yet."i think the biggest problem he's having there, is getting any agreement on how to fund it"on tuesday, the president is also expected to address another funding request.the white house wants 25 billion to build a southern border wall. see on kron 4.... a desperate plea for help from a grieving widow ... whose husband's remains were left in bags in a hayward warehouse. piseth chhay was a father of two. the man suspected in his murder is no longer in the country. now for the first time since his remains were positively id'd. she spoke exclusvely with kron 4's j-r stone and this morning she is begging for help sot i struggle to survive each day for my boys...for my boys i have to be strong for my boys but they ask for their father every day at 7 am before schoolit's now been more than 8 months since rattana kim's husband piseth chhay went missing. his remains were eventually found in bags in this hayward warehouse. the victim of a murder. police say the suspect, bob tang, a former friend of chhay's, fled to his

homeland of cambodia and is still on the loose right now. sot the house has been quiet and it's so hard for me to go upstairs it's so hard for me to stand there and look at the sofa where he used to sitfor the first time we're seeing a picture of tang, taken last year, at a community meeting focused on finding chhay. hours after it was taken tang fled the country. chhay's sons both 9 and 12 spoke at his memorial earlier this month. they are still dealing with the loss of their dad. rattana works nights as a nurse and receives a call every evening from them to make sure she is okay.sot i did not answer the phone because i was busy with my patients and they got scared they said mommy where were you

( robin ) we now know the name of the man killed in a fire in santa clara on sunday. authorities say james strong was found inside the condo that went up in flames. fire officials say when they found strong he was in cardiac arrest. authorities say strong was taken to the hospital where he died. no one else was hurt. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. ( robin ) the u-s senate has blocked a bill that would have banned most abortions after 20 weeks. the bill... authored by senator lindsey graham... failed to get the 60 votes needed to advance. the final vote was 51-to-46. the measure did include exceptions for rape or incest... or if the mother's life was at risk. president trump backed the bill. he's now urging the senate to reconsider. opponents argue 20-week abortion bans are unconstitutional. director of the f-b-i...andrew mccabe... has stepped down. a source says, f-b-i director christopher wray had told mccabe he was bringing in his own team, and mccabe -- would not be part of it. mccabe has been a frequent target of the president -- both publicly and privately -- when he vents his frustrations about the f-b-i. last july -- trump even asked why attorney general jeff sessions had not fired mccabe yet ... white house press secretary sarah sanders said, the white house had nothing to do with mccabe's departure. kron4's haaziq madyun has details. pkgit is shocking video, a richmond police officer injured after being rundown by a driver trying to escape an illegal sideshow. it happened sunday at around 1:20am here at the intersection of marina parkway and regatta blvd. richmond police chief allwyn brown says by sunday afternoon two suspects were arrestedsot chief brown says the vehicle was abandoned a short distance from where it struck the officer. the suspects were arrested after they went to the south san francisco police department to report the vehicle stolen which chief brown says was just the break his investigators needed to catch the two suspectssotchief allwyn brown/richmond police department: "once we found the

been released...in richmond haaziq madyun kron4news ( robin ) in the south bay... the health department is now investigating viral images of raw pork being delivered to a san jose market. it is a story we first brought you yesterday on the kron 4 morning news... kron 4's rob fladeboe spoke to shoppers. it appeared to be business as usual here at the 99 ranch market off hostetter road in san jose. but some customers told me they would not be buying any pork products buying any would not be buying any pork products just now after another customer blew the whistle on this. loretta seto posted these pictures on facebook, which have gone viral. they show raw pork being delivered to the market ina shopping cart. gurmit/sainiin a statement, 99 ranch market apologized to it's customers, pointing the finger at it's vendor. the modesto bee reports that the vendor, jim's farm meat company, of modesto, has fired the employees who were not following standard protocols. the viral photos show the raw pork in a costco shopping

scott weiner announced a new bill that would require california workplaces to provide space and resources to new mothers who are breastfeeding. the bill requires that the facilities not be placed within restrooms... and that there is access to running water and refrigeration. the space must also include seats, a table, and privacy. according to wiener's office... the legislation was inspired by the san francisco lactation ordinance that was passed back in june. ( robin ) public works crews in san francisco have cleared a road after a tree fell on muni lines in the pacific heights neighborhood. the tree came down yesterday afternoon on fillmore street between sutter and post. this is a picture form the scene showing the tree in the middle of the road. the road was blocked

until 8:00 last night. nobody was injured when the tree came down. there is no impact on muni this morning. ( robin ) san francisco police are looking for a man they say threatened a muni bus driver with a gun. it happened around 9:30 sunday night near near sunnydale avenue and santos street. authorities say the man got on the bus... and claimed ot have a gun. the man told the driver to take him to a specific location. but after one block... the man got off the bus and took off. no one on the bus was hurt.

my day off while heading to monterey what you are looking at is 7 people standing next to a table. about 50 feet from the active lanes of traffic on highway 101 in san jose nats: ambiance they set up the table to hand out food the homeless, feeding the homeless i can get on board with... but not on the side of a freeway their intentions were good trying to feed the homeless but we have some obvious precautions we need to think about the san jose office of the california highway patrol get calls for a lot of people legally and illegally stopping on california freeways a lot of times we get reports pedestrians that are on the freeway and sometimes drivers will call it in that they are actually trying to cross the freeway to get to the other side stopping because you have a flat tres, acceptable like this driver the tire was shredded but the driver already called roadside assistance the california highway patrol has seen a lot of things ...that being said i personally haven't seen a picnic on the side of the road before but i have stopped for drivers on the side of the road usually to make a quick phone call to send out a quick text or maybe look at their gps and while it turned out not to be a picnic from the someone driving on the freeway myself included that exactly what it looked like stopping along side unnecessarily causes some risk that is not really needed that swerves off the road that could possibly collide with them of if someone has a blown out tire possibly swerves off the road as well the chp did respoond the the group and they were cited for making a non- emergency stop which carries a 238 dollar fine and 1 point but the fact is, no matter how good your intentions are. you can't help anyone if you get hit by a car . in san jose stanley roberts kron 4 news

( robin ) two people are injured after two seperate shootings in san francisco's mission district. both shootings happened sunday. police say the first was a drive-by shooting. it happened near 22nd and mission streets. police say a bystander was injured in that shooting. she is expected to be okay. police say the

second shooting happened just blocks away. shots rang out near 22nd and shotwell streets. the victim tells police he heard a loud bang then realized he'd been shot. that man is expected to be okay. ( robin ) vacaville police arrested two men they say robbed a woman over the weekend. it happened sunday night near east monte vista avenue and vine street police say anthony doss grabbed the woman's purse and backpack. he then pushed her to the ground. police say ross ran to a car nearby... driven by amuari wilson. a person nearby described the getaway car to police... who were able to locate it. the two men were taken into custody. officer's found the purse and backpack... and returned it to the woman. ( robin ) you have heard of the online 'tide' pod challenge. it is causing teens to eat the tide laundry pods. now... as kay recede explains some big retailers are taking action in california.

(darya) a big story this morning. c-h-p is investigating another possible attack of a tech bus on i-280. (robin ) this is the second attack on the busses this month. lydia pantazes is live in san francisco with more. lydia? this is where a tech shuttle bus picks up employees every morning and takes them to work in the silicon valley.this is also where protesters will be on friday morning from 6am to 10am. the organizer of the event says the goal is to stop abuse of private roads by corporations and stop the increase of gentrification.the organizer is asking my people to come picket peacefully at this bus stop.but there have been attacks on these buses recently. earlier this month, vandals broke windows of six buses chartered by apple and google.the buses were carrying employees traveling northbound

( robin ) a richmond police officer is out of the hospital after he was hit by a car... while trying to stop a sideshow. two teens have been arrested. police released video of the moment the officer was hit. the officer was standing next to a cruiser... when a sedan drove right into him. this was around 1:30 sunday morning. police say the drivers were trying to leave the side-show. police say juan vargas was behind the wheel. and the car was registered to his girlfriend... genesis diaz castaneda. police found the abandoned car not far from where the officer was hit. vargas and castaneda were arrested after they went to the ásouth san francisco police department to report the car stolen. vargas was arrested for attempted murder. casteneda was arrested for being an accessory to the crime. ( robin ) happening today... a nearly 3- billion dollar jump in costs... has two lawmakers asking for an audit of california's high-speed rail project. democratic senator jim beall of san jose and a republican assemblyman will pitch their request to a legislative committee today. california's plan to build a high-speed train from l-a to san francisco by 2029... is expected to cost about 67- billion dollars. that's 27 billion more than what voters approved ten years ago. ( darya ) breastfeeding mothers could soon have a much nicer space and more resources at their place of employment. a new bill making its way through the state legislature would require that employers have lactation rooms and they not be placed within restrooms. they must also have access to running water and refrigeration. the space must also include seats, a
