a swat team was called in and neighbors were asked to shelter in place. kron 4's camila bernal is in pleasant hill this morning.camila, has the lockdown been lifted ? at about 10:31 pm the department received multiple calls reporting a man was seen with an assault-style rifle and wearing a bullet proof vest walking in front of 100 boyd road. pleasant hill police officers arrived within seconds and saw the man in front of the apartment complex at 100 boyd road. officers confirmed he was in possession of an assault-style rifle and was wearing a ballistic vest. he ran into the apartment complex.local residents were contacted and advised to shelter in place. the central county regional swat team was activated.the subject was not located and his identity is currently unknown. he is described as a white male adult, approximately 5'6" with brown hair and a light beard. he was wearing a dark beanie cap, camouflage pants and a black ballistic vest.

jose about the case, in which the adult suspect pretended to be a teenager himself. (looklive)"while the suspect in this case is from texas, it appears none of the physical crimes actually happened there. turns out he flew into the south bay to meet his victim."(pkg)this is the mugshot of gabriel gonzalez, a 27-year-old from the dallas metroplex.police say he began an online relationship with a 16-year-old sunnyvale girl in july of last year.over the next five months, authorities say he exchanged lewd images and videos with his victim, all while pretending to be 17. then, a police reports says, just a few days after christmas, he flew from irving texas to san jose...so he could meet up with his victim, take her to a hotel in mountain view, and have sex with her.this is far from the first interstate predator case. " it's actually pretty frequent. there is a lot - unfortunately kids these days, they really interact with people that they don't know online."after gonzalez had

flown back to texas on new year's eve, the girl's parents learned about the relationship, they called sunnyvale department of public safety.they handed the case to mountain view police, because that's where the alleged sexual contact happened."when we were brought in and figured out that he had flown out here from texas, but that a majority of these contacts, of these inappropriate images and videos that were being exchanged were happening online, that's actually the fbi's jurisdiction."the internet crimes against children task force also investigates when there's a minor involved.soon mountain view police were ready to send officers to texas to bring gonzalez back to face charges here."we have to work with a local jurisdiction agency to ensure that they're aware that we're coming out there. they helped us with a search warrant to ensure that we had all the appropriate materials to build the case."they arrested gonzalez at his home without incident.the charges against him include possession of child pornography and sex with a minor.(looklive)"police and the internet crimes against children task force remind minors never to talk to anyone they don't know online, and if they ever do see something strange with someone they're with, something they're not sure of, they should tell a trusted adult immediately.in san jose, spencer blake, kron four news." flu hospitalizations and deaths are still on the rise... as this extremely rough flu season continues.. the c-d-c reported an additional 16 children have died from the flu this week. that increases the number to 53 of children who have died by the virus so far during this flu season. 48 states are reporting widespread flu activity. the c-d-c says that as bad as it is -- the wave of flu cases has not yet peaked. ( marty ) in the north bay.... sonoma county has now reported its first flu death this season. it had already reported at least a dozen severe cases of the flu in adults under 65.... but no deaths until now. no details are being released yet about the victim...

county officials continue to urge people to get the vaccine. ( marty ) your cup of coffee might soon come with a warning. california keeps a list of chemicals it considers ápossibleá causes of cancer. acrylamide --which is created when coffee beans are roasted -- is considered one of them. a lawsuit filed in los angeles is targeting companies that make or sell coffee. according to the suit....the defendants failed to warn coffee drinkers that they may be exposed to the chemical. the suit seeks to impose fines ... and if successful ... force the companies to post warnings. but coffee companies say the acrylamide levels in coffee should be considered safe under state law. fire at a scrap metal plant in richmond sent plumes of heavy smoke into the air. now - officials say they've detected a potentially dangerous toxin in the air. air samples show that the fire was as toxic as expected. most concerning... the discovery of the cancer causing chemical benzene. it was found to be three times over the safe limit in point richmond. officials say the levels are likely due to what was in the scrap yard that burned for about ten hours. neighbors were warned to stay inside... some are still contacting the county with concerns.

( marty ) in the south bay ... an update on a story we've been following in a cash strapped school district in san jose. kron four's rob fladeboe reports that the oak grove school district plans to close three elementary schools this fall. it was a sad day here at del robles elementary where some parents were only just hearing thenews as school let out. the oak grove school district board voted thursday to close three elementary schools, del robles, glider elementary and george miner elementary. shaun tanner has three kids at
