across the country this morning to a stunning admission from the f-b-i reveals that someone had called the agency about the confessed parkland, florida shooter last month. it was a tip that the f-b-i didnt follow up. kron four's spencer blake has the story. some funerals are already underway for those shot and killed at marjory stoneman douglas high school in south florida.emotions were still raw friday when the f-b-i announced someone called in a tip about the confessed shooter on january fifth.the caller gave specific information, explained that he owned a gun, and made online statements that he wanted to kill people."that protocol was not followed. the information was not provided to the miami field office, and not further investigation was conducted at that time."former f-b-i agent rick smith says this failure falls squarely on the shoulders of the bureau."ya know sometimes you get a call that can't be acted upon. here you have a suspect's name,

what he's going to do, a little bit about him, and nothing's done?"what's more...the broward county, florida sheriff says his office had also heard a lot about cruz before the shooting. first responders during active shooter situations. the "real time" g-p-s system shows authorities exactly where the threat is. it also gives an overview of the entire campus, and displays the status of every area.

( marty ) people in mexico are still rattled following that massive earthquake that struck yesterday. the 7-point-2 quake rattled buildings the epicenter was in the oaxaca region. this is the third major earthquake in southern mexico in the past six months. kron4's charles clifford has been tracking the quake and has the details.. friday's earthquake in southern mexico, was felt from the pacific coast to mexico city 225 miles away.sotwe were on the 6th floor of our hotel

and everything was shaking. jack davis and his family are vacationing in mexico city. he spoke with kron4 friday afternoon via skype. he says they were in their hotel when the quake hit but their first warning that something was wrong was actually when they heard mexico's earthquake early warning system going off outside.sotwe heard this wierd sound about 30 seconds before hand. it sounded like a dump truck. that was the early warning system.jack says that after the quake hit, they quickly left the hotel and were greeted with a chaotic scene outside.sotall the traffic was stopped the streets were cluttered. there were these different alarms going through the loudspeaker that we couldn't understand. friday's quake comes 5 months after a pair of earthquakes. . a magnitude 8.2 on september 7th and a magnitude 7.1 on september 19th killed more than 400 people and injured thousands more in southern mexico. fortuantly, as of late friday evening, there have been no reports of fatalities and only light damage. davis says they didn't see any injuries or damage in mexico city but they are taking extra precautions in

breaking news this morning out of mexico ... 13 people are dead and 15 are injured after a helicopter crash. officials say that helicopter was surveying damage caused by a massive 7-point-two earthquake that hit southern mexico yesterday. the epicenter was in the oaxaca region .. this is the third major earthquake in southern mexico in the past six months. kron4's charles clifford has been tracking the quake and has the details. friday's earthquake in southern mexico, was felt from the pacific coast to mexico city 225 miles away.sotwe were on the 6th floor of our hotel and everything was shaking.

jack davis and his family are vacationing in mexico city. he spoke with kron4 friday afternoon via skype. he says they were in their hotel when the quake hit but their first warning that something was wrong was actually when they heard mexico's earthquake early warning system going off outside.sotwe heard this wierd sound about 30 seconds before hand. it sounded like a dump truck. that was the early warning system.jack says that after the quake hit, they quickly left the hotel and were greeted with a chaotic scene outside.sotall the traffic was stopped the streets were cluttered. there were these different alarms going through the loudspeaker that we couldn't understand. friday's quake comes 5 months after a pair of earthquakes. . a magnitude 8.2 on september 7th and a magnitude 7.1 on september 19th killed more than 400 people and injured thousands more in southern mexico. fortuantly, as of late friday evening, there have been no reports of fatalities and only light damage. davis says they didn't see any injuries or damage in mexico city but they are taking extra precautions in case there are aftershocks.sot we are back in the hotel. we were only outside for 10 minutes. we packed our bags.

( marty ) ( marty ) breaking news this morning out of mexico ... 13 people are dead and 15 are injured after a helicopter crash. officials say that helicopter was surveying damage caused by a massive 7- point-two earthquake that hit southern mexico yesterday. the epicenter was in the oaxaca region .. this is the third major earthquake in southern mexico in the past

six months. kron4's charles clifford has been tracking the quake and has the details. friday's earthquake in southern mexico, was felt from the pacific coast to mexico city 225 miles away.sotwe were on the 6th floor of our hotel and everything was shaking. jack davis and his family are vacationing in mexico city. he spoke with kron4 friday afternoon via skype. he says they were in their hotel when the quake hit but their first warning that something was wrong was actually when they heard mexico's earthquake early warning system going off outside.sotwe heard this wierd sound about 30 seconds before hand. it sounded like a dump truck. that was the early warning system.jack says that after the quake hit, they quickly left the hotel and were greeted with a chaotic scene outside.sotall the traffic was stopped the streets were cluttered. there were these different alarms going through the loudspeaker that we couldn't understand. friday's quake comes 5 months after a pair of earthquakes. . a magnitude 8.2 on september

7th and a magnitude 7.1 on september 19th killed more than 400 people and injured thousands more in southern mexico. fortuantly, as of late friday evening, there have been no reports of fatalities and only light damage. davis says they didn't see any injuries or damage in mexico city but they are taking extra precautions in case there are aftershocks.sot we are back in the hotel. we were only outside for 10 minutes. we packed our bags. we have some money and extra water. we are definetly on call.charles clifford kron 4 news ( marty ) in the east bay, police have arrested in the case of the "latex glove bandit. this is the suspect on the right... 21- year-old giovanni mendoza. police say, they found him with 5-thousand dollars cash, marijuana and a couple of guns. that was enough evidence for police to link him to four robberies in san pablo and richmond. this is video of one of the robberies - at a convinience store in san pablo back in

december. you can see the person wearing one latex glove. police say the same person reportedly robbed this exact location twice. ( marty ) an airline employee helped prevent two teens from becoming victims of human trafficking. the two young girls --ages 15 and 17 -- came to the woman's ticket counter. they had a number of small bags, but no i-d's. the worker noticed the tickets from sacramento to new york were purchased online... and the credit card used had a different name. and she noticed another sign that something was wrong. ( marty ) the teens told deputies they met a man on instagram... who invited them to new york for the weekend to model. sheriffs believe if the airline worker didn't intervene, the girls would have become victims of human trafficking ( marty ) state lawmakers are proposing new protections for renters in california.

bay area state assemblyman david chiu introduced a bill that if passed... would give tenants more time to respond to eviction lawsuits. and more time to pay their rent or comply with other agreements in their lease. and oakland assemblyman rob bonta introduced a bill to extend "just cause" eviction laws. it would require landlords to provide a specific, valid reason before an eviction can take place. way. the child was airlifted to a hospital. police are still investigating the cause of the collision. the child's condition is unknown. ( marty ) two dogs are safe following a cliffside rescue operation by san francisco fire department. the dogs were stranded on the steep cliffs at fort funston. firefighters pulled them up the cliff to safety with ropes and harnesses. the deparment posted on twitter -- saying while this story had a happy outcome -- people should always "keep a close eye on your canine companions, be aware of cliffs, and if not sure, keep a leash attached."
