francisco on friday. police say 31-year-old joel armstrong of san francisco shot and killed a 28-year-old man and injured another man after getting into an argument. this happened in the golden gate panhandle neighborhood. after the shooting, police say armstrong car jacked a vehicle. they discovered the car in mission bay, and found armstrong inside a nearby r-v. shots were fired, including by officers, but no one was hurt and armstrong surrendered. he is facing a string of charges including murder, possession of a firearm and car jacking. ( marty ) in the south bay, a man is in the hospital with life threatening stab wounds. police say it happened at 7:30 last night in san jose at a restaurant near story road and mclaughlin avenue. police found a man suffering from at leastone stab wound. the case is still under investigation. ( marty ) it's a heartbreaking story we've been following all week. 19-year-old lizette cuesta was stabbed to death by two friends in livermore on monday. and last night her family

( marty ) the justice department is appealing a temporary block against the trump administration's new birth control rules. an appeal was filed in a san francisco court on friday. back in december, a federal court blocked the president's move to roll back obamacare's birth control mandate. under the new rules, employers could cite religious or moral objections to deny the coverage. but the judge said, the administration failed to give enough notice before implementing ( marty ) still ahead ... klay thompson represents

( marty ) a suspected drug dealer is in jail after police found him with 66 bags of cocaine base and heroin. he was arrested saturday on eddy street near larkin and hyde in the tenderloin. the suspect was already wanted on felony drug charges. he was booked and arrested on these new drug charges. ( marty ) a rollover crash in brentwood sent a driver to the hospital. the crash happened saturday morning on marsh creek road in brentwood. the crash blocked traffic in both directions for some time. the condition of the driver is unknown this morning. one fremont home. the house is on third street. police were making a welfare check when they looked through a window of the home and saw an unconscious woman and dog. officers also found another body inside the home. police say a gun was found near one of the victims. the cause of death is still being investigated. ( marty ) we now know the name of the man who was involved in a deadly shooting on friday. police say 31- year-old joel armstrong of san francisco shot and killed a 28- year-old man and injured another man after getting into an argument. this happened in the golden gate panhandle neighborhood. after the shooting, police say armstrong car jacked a vehicle. they discovered the car in mission bay, and found armstrong inside a nearby r-v. shots were fired, including by officers, but no one was hurt and armstrong surrendered. he is facing a string of charges including murder, possession of a firearm and car jacking. ( marty ) the justice department is appealing a temporary block against the trump administration's new birth control rules. an appeal was filed in a san francisco court on friday. back in december, a federal court blocked the president's move to roll back obamacare's birth control mandate. under the new rules, employers could cite religious or moral objections to deny the coverage. but the judge said, the administration failed to give enough notice before implementing the

( marty ) and thousands said hello to the year of the dog in sacramento. the lunar flower fest and tet festival attracts more than 30-thousand people each year. they enjoyed traditional performances some tasty food and prepared for the new year. the festivies will continue into next weekend.
