reports... some people in the crowd today...called for the officer who shot shaleem tindle to be fired, arrested and prosecuted. i speak to everyone in this room, what if it was your child? shaleem tindle's mother expressed her anguish to the bart board members....calling her son's fatal shooting at the hands of a bart officer murder..... this is the graphic body cam video that was released yesterday by bart police after a clip was leaked online. the bart police chief called officer joseph mattoo couragous for rushing to the scene after being told there was gunfire outside the west oakland bart station. the chief saying he believes mattoo came across two men struggling for a handgun.......one man having already been shot by allegedly by tindle....the crowd who packed today's meeting disgreed. my brother had his back turned on the damn ground on his knees it's a linshan hands up it's a lynchhe will be charged he will be

(vicki) another big story tonight. one person is dead and three others in the hospital after a crash into an east bay home. kron4's lydia pantazes has the story. chp is now saying the driver of one of the cars is facing charges for driving under the influence and manslaughter. that's the home where the car crashed behind me. it doesn't look like there's damage to the house but the fence is damaged and the car ran down a

(take vo) one person died in the accident. this home is located in the bay point neighborhood near pittsburg. the crash was reported at 12:51 a.m. at 1 wharf drive, just off of port chicago highway. the chp says a truck was turning right from wharf drive to port chicago highway when it collided with a chevy camaro, traveleing at a high rate of speed. the chp says that camaro veered into oncoming lanes and hit the truck. the driver is 26-years old raul moreno ochoa jr. from concord is listed in stable condition with major injuries. the person who died the passenger in the chevy camaro. a man in his mid 20's. the woman driving the truck and her passenger are in critical condition with life threatening injuries. we spoke with the man who lives in the home. mark martin/lives in home "it didn't even seem real, when i first woke up i heard s loud boom, like an explosion and initially when i woke up i thought, i'm going crazy, i'm having a dream or something and it was the shrieking terror of the mans voice screaming, help, help! as loud as he could that made me realize, i'm not dreaming, something is going on here, so i came to the window and that's when o was like, oh my god! yup, this is not a dream, this is going down." the owner of the home also says speeding is one of the biggest issues on this road. reporting live in bay point, lydia pantazes kron 4 news.

(vicki) happening now. happening now. authorities are looking into what caused a u.s. coast guard helicopter... to make an emergency landing in san francisco. it happened around eight this morning at golden gate park. the helicopter crew was returning from a search prompted by an alert beacon that went off...when a warning notified them of an apparent tail rotor malfunction. the crew decided to land "as soon as possible"... and happened to be flying over big rec field...located in golden gate park...near lincoln way.(sot) "no body was injured..it was just a precautionary landing so no concerns for the crew" the helicopter landed safely and crews are

(vo) new tonight at 5. special counsel robert mueller has filed new charges against former trump campaign chairman paul manafort and his right hand man, rick gates. a federal grand jury returned the 32-count indictment which includes tax and bank fraud charges. a charging document says the new counts are connected to fraudent loans the two allegedly procured between 20-15 and this year. the loans in question allegedly came from money earned from their ukrainian lobbying business. manafort and gates pleaded not guilty last year to money laundering and related charges in connection to their lobbying work. (vicki) spacex's falcon nine rocket launched several

satellites worth hundreds of millions of dollars into low-earth orbit just after 6 this morning. this happened at vandenberg air force base on the central coast of california. the launch had been delayed until yesterday for final checks -- but that attempt was scrubbed due to strong winds. after the launch -- spacex attempted to recover one half of the rocket payload's "fairing" in a net at sea. that missed by a few hundred yards, according to spacex c-e-o elon musk, but the "fairing" may still be salvageable. from about an hour ago... the roof of this complex has collapsed... all residents have been evacuated.we've now learned that two people have been treated for smoke inhalation.. and a firefighter is being treated for heat exhaustion.. firefighters have retreated because it's too dangerous to be in the crumbling building. they're now fighting it defensively from a distance.. the flames are smaller now...they were raging earlier. according to a fire official - when crews arrived the flames were at first coming from a vacant unit. no word yet on the cause. we'll keep an eye on it. (steve) police have arrested a man accused of stealing nearly 250-thousand dollars worth of jewelry from a department store in san francisco. toby kessler is accused of robbing the same jewelry store three different times this year. police have not said which store was targeted... only that it was in the stonestown mall. these are some the items that police recovered. the most recent robbery happened last friday. employees called police and they were able to track kessler down. (pam) in the east bay... authorities are investigating a fire that broke out ... at an abandoned strip mall in hayward. it happened around 9:30 -last night on mission boulevard. this is a picture of the scene tweeted out by hayward firefighters. it took them about 45- minutes to get the fire under control. there were homeless people in the mall when the fire started.. but nobody was injured. (pam) another fire broke out behind a business in dublin. authorities say, the fire erupted behind a business at amador plaza. a stack of wooden pallets caught fire ... slightly damaging the outside of the building. officials are investigating the cause. (steve) a teenage boy in california is being called a hero. he was first on the scene of an apartment fire-- and if it weren't for his efforts, the outcome could have been much worse. but there's more. sara zendehnam explains why the teen's actions were especially noteworthy. the suffocating smell of smoke still hangs in the air. the skeleton of an apartment building sits on the block. the flames coming from stockton's caribrook way tuesday were overwhelming. tasha miller, terrell's mother: "i took one look up and i said somebody call 911... somebody unit on fire." but it wasn't the stockton fire department that was first on scene.terrell watts, age 14: "we saw smoke."this is 14-year-old terrell watts. he lives nearby and didn't hesitate to help. he covered his face with his sweatshirt and with his friends did something incredible.terrell watts, age 14: "we went over there to help the neighbors out, to bang on the doors."the neighborhood kids told everyone up and down the block. there is a fire. get out. but they didn't do it for

the recognition.terrell watts, age 14: "that's the right thing to do to help others." what's even more incredible -- terrell is in remission. he was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in 2014. just weeks ago, he became cancer free. he's still recovering after a recent surgery.tasha miller, terrell's mother: "putting his health on the line... his breathing... his respiratory. i've got one hell of a warrior."this warrior is also on the spectrum. he was diagnosed with autism at two years old. but terrell doesn't let anything stop him from being a hero. and even though he and his friends don't think of themselves like that, terrell's mom disagrees.tasha miller, terrell's mother: "all these kids that are behind y'all are the heroes right here. these kids are the heroes." after having nearly a week off the warriors are set to hit the hardwood tonight against the clippers at oracle arena. golden state starts the second half of the season in second place in the west behind the rockets. the warriors struggled in the last two weeks before the all-star break. they lost four of their last eight games. but warriors forward, kevin durant thinks the team is in a good shape heading into the final 24 games of the regular season. five- year-old boy just in time, as he fell from a third- floor balcony.. saturday in a city -- in central egypt. surveillance video shows the moment the child lands right in the officer's arms -- knocking him down.the incident occurred while the officers were guarding a bank.the little boy was uninjured -- while one officer sustained some bruises to his face and was taken to the hospital. lawrence karnow: it was a cold and windy afternoon with showers and even some reports of hail. you can see the showers on the doppler radar but they are scattered. the showers will likely end in the next few hours and then we are in for a cold night. on the satellite you can see the storm as it moved into the bay area.. the winds have been gusting over 40 mph and there have been a few lightning bolts too. the low will pass through tonight and skies will begin to clear. it will be cold tonight with lows in the upper 20s to upper 30s.
