more. two communities stunned.greg gundy/clinton pappadakis' nieghbor:it's just terrible. if you are going to be a coach, and working with kids. you've gotta be a role model clinton pappadakis was arrested this week for posession of child pornography charges..an investigation that started in september after police received a tip about suspicion online activity. he worked as a track coach here at oak grove high school. in response to the allegations, the school district says quote, gfx"we are disappointed to learn of these allegations as we expect our employees to be professional and ethical in their interactions with students, other employees, and the community. his twin brother clifton pappadakis turned himself in a week earlier.. following a months long investigation into him.he was a p.e. teacher and cross country coach at willow glen middle school.. in september parents there reported the 47 year old taking photos of female students prompting an investigation. he is facing child pornography and

molestation charges. his neighbors say. they're stunned. roger storz/cliff pappadakis' neighborwe're just shocked we have never seen any indication of anything that's being discussed. any of the claims that have been made. he's always been a really good neighbor and we're just really surprised by these allegations and we'll just have to wait and see how things go through the courts ( marty ) ( marty ) courtsgo through the see how things go through the courts ( marty ) also in the south bay ... a man is accused of sexually assaulting at least one person. police arrested gianni filice in gilroy. they were notified of filice's behavior last march. they launched an investigation and gathered enough information to issue an arrest warrant. police say two additional victims have also come forward saying he assaulted them. police believe there are possibly other victims that have not come forward.

( marty@landing ) we are learning more about three men found dead outside a san francisco high school. health officials say initial tests found fentanyl, meth- amphetamine and cocaine in their bodies. officials say preliminary tests suggest meth was likely laced with fentanyl. although an official cause of death has not been announced. the discovery of fentanyl has health officials repeating their message for people who use drugs, they should carry narcan with them--- which can reverse an overdose. ( marty ) police have idenitifed the man who was found dead at gray whale cove state beach near half moon bay. he is 53 year old gilberto rodriguez of san francisco... his body was found last wednesday morning with injuries on his face and upper body. police have ruled the case a homicide. ( marty @ landing ) rescue crews found a hiker from oakland who had been missing in yosemite national park. they discovered alan chow in the hetch hetchy area of yosemite. chow, who was

backpacking alone, was last seen of february 17th. on tuesday the park service..along with the marin county search and rescue started looking for him. they say chow stayed in his tent and was able to stay hydrated..and had enough food to survive. he has minor injuries..and was reunited with his family members. happening today, san francisco will officially welcome in the year of the dog. people are getting ready for the much anticipated chinese new year parade this evening. kron4's camila bernal is live this morning in china town ... to give us a look at the parade route and how it will impact traffic in the city. gung hay fat choy camila. here's a look at san franscisco's chinese new year parade route.the parade begins tomorrow at 5:15- pm ... at second and market street, heads west on market, and then west to geary to union square. the parade will turn north on powell street,

school while gunfire went off. peterson has since resigned but he wasn't the only sheriff's deputy who failed to act. police say three other deputies who arrived as backup ... also remained outside. it was officers from neighboring coral springs who were the first to go in. the broward county sheriff also revealed that their office had received 18 calls related to the suspect over the past decade. ( marty ) meantime, president trump is calling for teachers to be armed. during the conservative political action conference in maryland, the president said he wants concealed carry permits allowed inside schools so some teachers can carry firearms. ( marty ) here in california, the issue of making schools safer is being addressed at the state capitol. a yuba city lawmaker is proposing a bill that would require a school district to hire at least one armed security guard. assemblyman james gallagher introduced the legislation earlier this month. ( marty ) a big story we're following this morning... bart carries hundreds of thousands of riders around the bay everyday. we asked bart riders how they think the system can be improved. kron four's philippe djegal reports those commuters had a lot to say. (philippe) frequent delays are bothersome for daily bart riders. just this afternoon, the system was disrupted because of small earthquakes. on other days, it's medical or other emergencies.jennifer

home to the first and only -fully automated parking system in northern california. the grand opening of the hive automated parking structure is this monday. it's located at the hive oakland courtyard on broadway. mayor libby schaaf will be there to celebrate. the parking structure sits on a 16 hundred square foot footprint. the company says it will be able to convert seven parking spaces...into 39 spaces. the structure used 69 percent less construction material per parking space compared to a conventional garage. and over it's lifetime will eliminate 91 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions. ( marty ) east bay residents are being cautioned about an increase in home burglaries. there have been nearly a dozen break-ins in el cerrito this year. kron4's haaziq madyun reports one resident caught the crook red-handed. it's a story you will only see on kron4...

carmel.. raised in marin county.. and she's been an activist since she was 12- years old. alicia garza's job is fighting to make sure domestic workers are treated fairly. now as part of the bay area's 'hidden history' ... kron 4's pam moore talked with one of the three women who started the "black lives matter" movement . pam found alicia garza has deep roots right here in the bay area.

"i'm teaching women race and class and race resistance studies. it is angela davis' old class. what is that like? it's intimidating." alicia garza teaches teaches resistance at s-f state .. where she received her masters degree... it is probably fitting, since she, opal tometi and patrisse cullors are the three women who co-founded 'black lives matter' .. a social justice movement that has spread across the nation. they say they wanted to do something constructive, after the 2013 acquittal of neighborhood watchman george zimmerman.. in the killing of young trayvon martin .. upset by the acquittal.. alicia wrote a letter about her love for her people.. posted it on social media .. they added the three word hashtag - black lives matter..the phrase captured the moment and took off "i did not think that for one second george zimmerman would walk free""the next day when i saw that post had gone viral and patrisse putting a

( marty ) a big story we're following this morning... bart carries hundreds of thousands of riders around the bay everyday. we asked bart riders how they think the system can be improved. kron four's philippe djegal reports those commuters had a lot to say. (philippe) frequent delays are bothersome for daily bart riders. just this afternoon, the system was disrupted because of small earthquakes. on other days, it's medical or other emergencies.jennifer cano/rider- "i think they do tell you when the trains are going to be delayed, but it does seem like, you know, if there's some sort of emergency, the response time takes a long time and that snowballs everything, so you're often just waiting at a station for some response. seniors in orinda say more should be done to accommodate them... especially those with disabilities.bill

mayor libby schaaf will be there to celebrate. the parking structure sits on a 16 hundred square foot footprint. the company says it will be able to convert seven parking spaces...into 39 spaces. the structure used 69 percent less construction material per parking space compared to a conventional garage. and over it's lifetime will eliminate 91 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions. ( marty ) also in the east bay ... on friday you may have seen smoke in the sky from miles away after an abandoned library went up in flames in east oakland and neighbors say it was intentionally started. it happened on miller avenue near international boulevard.the miller library was closed in the '90's. the fire started yesterday afternoon and took firefighters about an hour to put it out. officials say the two-story building was known for criminal activity like drug deals and prositution.
