(grant) new tonight at 5... ice agents have made as many as 50 arrests throughout northern california during their latest immigration sweeps. officials tell kron four two arrests were made last night, bringing the total to about 50 arrests in recent raids. the locations of the arrests are not clear. kron4 learned that ice agents were conducting operations throughout the bay area over the weekend. (grant) a central valley man is behind bars tonight... after federal prosecutors say he tried to join isis. the man is identified as 21- year-old bernard augustine. he is from keyes... which is in stanislaus county...just south of modesto. augustine was arrested in tunsia in 20-16... as he was trying to enter lybia. officials say before augustine left the u-s... he expressed his support for isis. a search of his laptop also showed that he researched how

(catherine) home prices are not only going up.....they rose last year at the fastest 12-month pace in 3-and-a-half years... it's happening as potential home buyers fight over a limited number of available properties.. a new report from standard and poor says the national home price index jumped6-point-three percent in 2017. that's moving a lot faster than wages. the west is doing the best......seattle, las vegas and san francisco were the metro areas withthe biggest price gains. san francisco prices were up 9.2 percent... behind seattle at 12.7 percent......and vegas at just over 11 percent. more americans can afford a house thanks to economic growth... but fewer are are listing their homes because they'd face a higher mortgage rate if they bought a new house. the three cities with the smallest gains -- chicago, cleveland and washington, d.c. grant and vicki? has blocked the state from requiring that the popular weed-killer... roundup... carry warning labels that it is known to cause cancer. a u.s. district judge said in his ruling that the warning is false and misleading. he says almost all regulators have concluded there is insufficient evidence that roundup's main ingredient causes cancer. there is now a preliminary injunction against the requirement. and the order will stay in place while a lawsuit challenging the warning labels continues. last year, the main ingredient in the weed killer was added to a list of chemicals known to cause cancer. (grant) several bay area car dealerships are being ordered to pay nearly three- point-five million dollars in penalties... for illegally disposing of hazardous materials. the dealerships and collision centers operate under the name..."auto-nation". the case stems from an investigation in 20-13 that found the dealerships were illegally disposing of motor oil, electronic waste, and partially-full aerosol

canisters. auto-nation released a statement saying they are devoting resources to the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. (vicki) for the first time... driverless cars will be tested on california roads...without a human behind the steering wheel. the regulations approved yesterday... are a major step toward getting autonomous vehicles onto bay area streets. until now...driverless cars could only be tested with human backup drivers ...who could take over in an emergency. manufacturers can apply for permits allowing driverless testing when the regulations go into affect april second. murder.a shocking crime, witnessed by the victim's friends on facebook live. (catherine) this all happened in a small town outside charlotte, north carolina, home of 55=year old prentiss robinson. robinson rarely went a day without using facebook live. it was his favorite way of broadcasting his music, his personal vendettas and, police say, his suspicions about who in town was dealing drugs. nat bring my phone backjust minutes before his murder, prentis robinson dropped by the wingate north carolina police department to report his phone had been stolen. "i'd just spoke to him. it was, i just -- i don't know, it's hard to say anything about that. i just got through talking to him." robinson then headed back to his home ... using a selfie stick to document his journey.

hazardous chemicals emergency. it happened in pittsburg this afternoon... the shelter-in-place order was issued due to a leak in a railway car near city park. it affected people in the parkside manor neighborhood hazmat crews determned the chemical leak was not enough to cause serious concern. so the shelter in place was lifted... crews are repairing the leak. (grant) a man has been charged with attempted murder of an officer...accused of ramming a sheriff's deputy in hayward. authorities believe 30-year-old jack toki used a s-u-v and tried to kill alameda county sheriff's deputy payam shannon.. the incident happened on arbor avenue earlier this month. police say deputy shannon attempted to stop a suv with paper plates ...when toki...is accused of backing into shannon's motorcycle. (vicki) on the peninsula... two men are behind bars..in connection with a double-fatal shooting. 20-year-old devin lum...was arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder... and

23-year-old guardado duff ...was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory. the incident happened sunday night on hillside blvd... in the unincorporated community of broadmoor. authorities have identified the two people killed as 21-year-old vanessa guillory and 22-year-old michael garcia-salem. a third victim...who's name has not been released... suffered injuries not considered life- threatening. (grant) in the north bay... a couple is in custody after police linked them to recent burglaries. novato police arrested heather howard and louis thorsson at a storage building on novato boulevard last week. the two were allegedly seen carrying a stolen speaker... when police arrived, they found items connected to four recent burglaries. howard and thorsson were booked into marin county jail. (grant) we now know the name of the vallejo police officer... who fatally shot a suspect. authorities have identified the officer as ryan mcmahon. mcmahon... stopped 33-year-old ronnell foster ...who was riding a bicycle in an unsafe manner on

(vicki) according to a new study... raising one child costs more than 233-thousand dollars for a middle-income family. and that doesn't include the cost of college.
