he did not return to his family's cabin after a day of skiing. kron4's charles clifford has more. 65-year-old thomas mullarkey was reported missing by his wife jane on wednesday evening. earlier in the day, mullarkey had apparently left the couple's cabin in arnold california to go skiing at bear valley mountain resort about 30 miles away in alpine county. mullareky's vehicle was found in the parking lot of the resort, but his wearabouts remain unknown. a massive search, involving mutlipe search and rescue teams, is now underway although winter weather and extreme avalanch conditions in the sierra have slowed the search down. several helicopters were also deployed but grounded by the weather on friday.sotit's oridnary for his to go on a daytime adventure. he has decades of experience and he loves doing that. but to not come home was unusual.friday afternoon, thomas's niece, andrea mullarkey , said that the family is anxious to find him but they are also very optimistic.sotits hard to not know what's going on but we are pretty hopefull because we know he's got a lot of backcountry experience and a great head on his shoulders.

( marty ) the search continues this morning for an east bay man is missing after skiing near yosemite. and his family is fearing for the worst especially after at huge storm moved through the area. the missing man is identified as 65-year-old thomas mullarkey from richmond-- his wife reported him missing wednesday night when he did not return to his family's cabin after a day of skiing. kron4's charles clifford has more. 65-year-old thomas mullarkey was reported missing by his wife jane on wednesday evening. earlier in the day, mullarkey had apparently left the couple's cabin in arnold california to go skiing at bear valley mountain resort

( marty )there are 30-thousand legal parking spaces to share in san francisco... according to the s-f-m-t-a... and nearly 60- thousand handicapped placards issued. however... a good number of those placards... are not legal. so now... the city is doing something about it. stanley roberts explains in today's edition of people behaving badly. in the parking lot at stonestown mall in san francisco, the disabled placard team spots something they see all too oftenááthe disabled placard improperly

( marty ) ( marty ) the search continues this morning for an east bay man is missing after skiing near yosemite. and his family is fearing for the worst especially after at huge storm moved through the area. the missing man is identified as 65-year-old thomas mullarkey from richmond- - his wife reported him missing wednesday night when he did not return to his family's cabin after a day of skiing. kron4's charles clifford has more. 65-year-old thomas mullarkey was reported missing by his wife jane on wednesday evening. earlier in the day, mullarkey had apparently left the couple's cabin in arnold

california to go skiing at bear valley mountain resort about 30 miles away in alpine county. mullareky's vehicle was found in the parking lot of the resort, but his wearabouts remain unknown. a massive search, involving mutlipe search and rescue teams, is now underway although winter weather and extreme avalanch conditions in the sierra have slowed the search down. several helicopters were also deployed but grounded by the weather on friday.sotit's oridnary for his to go on a daytime adventure. he has decades of experience and he loves doing that. but to not come home was unusual.friday afternoon, thomas's niece, andrea mullarkey , said that the family is anxious to find him but they are also very optimistic.sotits hard to not know what's going on but we are pretty hopefull because we know he's got a lot of backcountry experience and a great head on his shoulders. thomas mullarkey is described as being 5'8" tall 150 pounts with grey hair and blue eyes. he may have also been wearing this snow suit when he was last seen on wednesday. andrea says that her uncle liked to ski the backside of bear valley and she hopes that someone may have seen him.sot

(estacio reporting)larry kamer, pathway spokesperson. it has been a challenging week, obviously, and obviously for the families of the victims. larry kamer - is the

spokesperson for the pathway home... the ptsd treatment facility located on the yountville grounds and tragically the site where gunman and former patient albert wong killed three clinical psychologists last friday during a hostage situation. kamer talked with me about the days after the shooting and the victims - kamer. i can't imagine what it would be like to say goodbye to your loved ones. he shared with me how his wife is doing... she was in the room with gunman wong walked in - heavily armed... kamer. she is doing ok? throwing herself into work. and the big memorial planned for next monday. kamer. "we are trying to support them and blance their needs and give them this memorial for respect and honor." kamer says they expect several thousands to show up... he says yountville is a tight community and

settlement with denise huskins and aaron quinn. that is the couple whose 20-15 kidnapping report... was dismissed as a hoax. police initially rejected the couples' account... that a masked intruder drugged them in their home ... and kidnapped denise huskins. the assailant sexually assaulted her, and released huskins two days later. police later found that the couple was telling the truth. the f-b-i arrested matthew muller.. four- months later. muller is now serving a 40-year prison term. ( marty ) in the east bay, a cat that was missing after a break-in at a shelter ... has been found. and oakland police are still looking for the person who broke in. it was a startling morning for cats at the' cat town cafe' in oakland. an intruder threw a rock through the window. security video shows the person climb through the window... and head straight to the coffee shop at the back of the shelter. ann dunn started 'cat town'.... for felines having trouble being adopted. she says.. she is heartbroken by the break-in.

an investigation.though we don't know everything that went wrong, we do know the bridge, which hadn't even opened for use yet, was built in large pieces off-site that were then trucked in to be put together.that's similar to how the laurel street overcrossing bridge in vallejo was built just last year."for the most part they did around-the-clock work, for the most part and they took about five months, i'd say."eddie watts lives close enough that he saw most of the work as it happened."i do take this bridge a lot and as you can see my kids do come back and forth over this bridge."but don't worry - caltrans says none of their bridges are the same structure type as the one in florida.and though caltrans often uses the accelerated bridge construction method, or a-b-c, an engineer from u-c berkeley assured kron four there's nothing wrong with the overall process.the good news is, when builders use a-b-c's, the ensuing traffic headache for drivers...is much smaller during construction."they did a pretty good job on it i
