one of the passengers was hit in the arm and is recovering this morning. san jose police continue to search for the gunman.kron 4's hermela aregawi spoke to the victims. a ride home goes terribly wrong. dani jimenez/victim i was just like so scared. i can't even tell you what i was thinking at the time. i just wanted to get out of there. this bullet hole is a reminder that dani jimenez, her sister and friend were almost killed.. after being shot while driving on monterey road in san jose.the three say.. early wednesday morning around two.. they grabbed food at this jack in the box drivethrough and headed home. they then noticed a truck that was also in the drive thru .. traveling next to them. they say they didn't think much of it.. until the suspect got behind their car and started aggressively tailgating them dani jimenez/victimhe just started trying to be super close to me and then that is when he shot two more times that's when it kind of clicked in my head and i started yelling at dispatch and was

( marty ) controversy in the east bay. immigration advocates say federal agents will now have an easier time targeting undocumented iimmigrants who are getting out of the contra costa county jail.kron 4's ella sogomonian reports the sheriff's office is now posting inmate release dates online. a california law went into effect this january aimed at protecting illegal immigrants. senate bill 54 directs local authorities not to communicate with immigration and customs and enforcement agents about undocumented immigrants who've been arrested. but a loophole in that law allows that if the information is made public. so the contra costa county sheriff's office has joined other counties in the state to post inmate release dates online.immigration advocates believe this is a way for local authorities to cooperate with federal agents by giving them information indirectly that will help them make arrests outside jails.tony bravo with the california immigration policy center says

her 16-year-old son jeremiah joyner was an outside linebacker on the varisty football team at oakland technical high school. but the football season has been over for a few months now. cherie says when she got home thursday night... she woke her son up from a nap. he complained of head, stomach and chest pains... and moments later, he threw up and then collapsed.cherie jones/mother- "my brother, he came down and i ran to the fire station to see if i could get some help, and i understand my brother gave him cpr." cherie says paramedics got jeremiah's heart beating again, before he was rushed to highland hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.cherie jones/mother- "when my brother received a call from the coroner, they said there was an abnormality in his heart. i guess an artery was on the left side versus the right side and it didn't have i guess a curve in it. it was coming down, which i guess he wasn't getting the air supply that he needed." cherie believes her son may have been born with this condition, and says she hopes others can learn from this story. she says her son's heart problem was never detected during routine sports physicals or
