( robin )police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened last night. it happened in freemont near the brookvale shopping center. kron 4's ali reid was there... and has the latest. police are still actively investigating this deadly

shooting.from what witnesses tell us, the man that is dead tonight, was the passenger inside this black vehicle ..... opened the door and started running .police tell us, that suspect had an active felony warrant for illegal possession of a firearm, and had an additional warrant for a probation violation.at the time of the shooting undercover officers were on to the suspect .... who was armed at the time.authorities say several marked police cars responded to the area and tried stopping the suspect vehicle.when officers turned on their sirens and overhead lights, the driver complied and stopped here at the fremont boulevard and nicolet avenue intersection.that's when the suspect jumped out and started running towards the arco gas station.just before 7-o'clock, officers say the suspect pointed a gun at them, and that shots were fired.during the shootout, the suspect was struck and fell to the ground.police say a revolver was found at the

suspect's side with expended shell casings.officers provided field trauma care until paramedics arrived, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.neighbors say they heard gunshots from inside their homes.sot no officers were injured during this incident.this is still an ongoing investigation.police say it appears the suspect fired at the officersduring the altercation.his na,,e is being withhed at this time/. reporting live from fremont...ali reid... kron 4 news. .... victim was taken to the hospital... two others suffered minor injuries but they were not burn related. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. ( robin )today's spring storm is expected to bring hazardous driving conditions. kron's 4 hermela argawi talked to c-h-p officials about what you can expect today... and what hot spot areas you should avoid. ( robin )in the northbay..crew s were out in the burn zones on thursday... including coffey park. cleaning out gutters... checking burns... and doing what they could to ensure that water keeps flowing. with a lot of vegetation burned away by the fires... the worry is that heavy rain could create mudslides.... or flooding as that rain runs on the surface... rather than being soaked up. santa rosa emergency crews are also getting ready for the storm. the fire department has extra staff... and their water rescue equipment on standby.

at youtube headquarters bought her gun legally. san bruno police say nasim aghdam got the gun from a shop in san diego... back on january 6th. it was a 9-millimeter smith and wesson. nasim used that gun at youtube on tuesday. she fired off several rounds before reloading and

killing herself. a 36- year old man is the only victim still in the hospital. his condition has been upgraded to fair. aghdam is one of very few women to become a mass shooter in the u-s. police say she was upset with youtube's policy changes. according to the f-b-i -- just 4 percent of mass shooting over the last 16 years... have involved a woman. ( robin ) doctor brenda wade says we see more men than woman acting more men than woman acting violently because of evolutionary and psycho- social factors... making it more difficult for men to vocalize their feelings. but she says the bigger issue is why we're seeing so many shootings. school employees in san rafael will attend an active shooter class. the classes are being taught by the public safety training institute at the marin county sheriff's office. the hope is for staff to be well prepared incase they ever find themselves in an active shooter situation. attendees will receive information on the history and dynamics of school shootings... response tactics... and what behaviors to look for... that would call for concern. ( robin )the family of the 19-year-old man killed by police last month in san francisco continues to look for answers in his case. the family met with district attorney george gascon wednesday. a spokeswoman for the delgado-duarte's family says the d-a discussed the details and le-galities of police shootings with them.... and that the family is focusing their efforts on state legislation that would limit... or restrict when officers can use lethal force. jesus adolfo delgado- duarte was killed on march sixth when officers responding to an alleged robbery found him hiding in the trunk of a car near capp and 21st streets.

delgado-duarte allegedly shot at police, leading officers to open fire at him, shooting 99 rounds and connecting about 25 times. ( robin ) the master tenant of the deadly ghost ship warehouse is trying to get charges against him dismissed. derick almena is facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter-- after the warehouse burned in december of 2016. earlier this year-- both derick almena and max harris pleaded not guilty to those charges. in the motion to dismiss the charges-- his lawyer says prosecutors can't say almena was negligent because they don't know how the fire started. the motion also says almena was given the impression from oakland city officials that there weren't any safety concerns at the warehouse. a hearing on the motions to dismiss the charges is on may 11th. ( robin )crews in mendocino county are suspending the search for 3 missing children.

jennifer and sarah hart and there 6 kids plunged off a cliff on march 26th. authorities said no one inside the s-u-v was wearing a seat belt at the time. they say it's likely the three missing children were swept away by the water. ( terisa ) in the east bay... an investigation is underway after a deadly police shooting in fremont. it happened last night near the brookvale shopping center. police tried to pull over a car... that witnesses say... the man was a passenger in. he then jumped out and ran towards a gas station. officers say he also pointed a gun at them... and that is when shots were fired. ( terisa ) police say the man fired at officers. however none of them were injured. the man was shot and died at the scene. police found a revolver and shell casings on the ground. ( terisa ) the woman who shot people at youtube headquarters bought her gun legally. san bruno police

say nasim aghdam got the gun from a shop in san diego... back on january 6th. it was a 9-millimeter smith and wesson. nasim used that gun at youtube on tuesday. she fired off several rounds before reloading and killing herself. a 36- year old man is the only victim still in the hospital. his condition has been upgraded to fair. ( terisa ) aghdam is one of very few women to become a mass shooter in the u-s. police say she was upset with youtube's policy changes. according to the f-b-i -- just 4 percent of mass shooting over the last 16 years... have involved a woman. ( terisa ) doctor brenda wade says we see more men than woman acting violently because of

evolutionary and psycho-social factors... making it more difficult for men to vocalize their feelings. but she says the bigger issue is why we're seeing so many ( darya ) fire destroys a home in san jose... displacing 6 people. this happened on the 32-hundred block of maple leaf court. when fire crews got to the home... it was completely engulfed in flames. one person was taken to the hospital. two others suffered minor injuries. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. ( terisa ) san francisco's district attorney has met with the family of a 19-year-old man fatally shot. a spokeswoman for jesus delgado-

duarte's family says the d-a talked about the details of the case... and the legalities of police shootings with them. the family says they are now focusing their efforts on state legislation introduced this week... that would limit when officers can use lethal force. delgado-duarte died on march 6th when officers responding to a robbery found him hiding in the trunk of a car near capp and 21st streets. police say they shot him... after he shot first. ( terisa ) the man involved in a two-hour standoff with petaluma police officers tuesday afternoon has died. sonoma county sheriff deputies say 24- year-old luis alberto garcia- vara died the next day. garcia-vara was shot in the abdomen on lakeville circle near the adobe creek golf club. officers were responding to a domestic dispute. ( darya ) a private plane tipped onto its nose after landing at the livermore municipal airport. two people were on board during the landing.. however no one

was injured. its unclear what happened to make the plane tip. the incident is currently under investigation. ( darya ) the master tenant of the deadly ghost ship warehouse is trying to get charges against him dismissed - yet again. derick almena is facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter -- after the warehouse burned in december of 2016. 36 people attending a concert died in the blaze. earlier this year-- almena and max harris pleaded not guilty to those charges. in the motion to dismiss the charges -- his lawyer says prosecutors can't say almena was negligent because they don't know how the fire started. during the preliminary hearing, almena's attorneys also tried to get the cased thrown out. now the case is set for trial. a hearing on the motion to dismiss- the charges is set for may 11th. ( darya ) ex-49er and raider aldon smith must now wear an ankle and alcohol monitor. smith was arraigned yesterday. the former n-f-l player violated a

( terisa) yosemite national park is cancelling camping reservations this weekend because of the storm. a flood watch has been issued for the park... starting tonight until sunday morning. park officials say any visitors looking for updates can find them on their main website. ( darya ) an investigation is underway after a deadly police shooting in fremont. it happened last night near the brookvale shopping center. police tried to pull over a car... that witnesses say... the man was a passenger in. he then jumped out and ran towards a gas station. officers say he also pointed a gun at them... and that is when shots were fired. ( darya ) police say the man fired at officers. however none of them were injured. the man was shot and died at the scene. police found a revolver and shell casings on the ground. ( darya ) the woman who shot people at youtube headquarters bought her gun legally. san bruno police

say nasim aghdam got the gun from a shop in san diego... back on january 6th. it was a 9-millimeter smith and wesson. nasim used that gun at youtube on tuesday. she fired off several rounds before reloading and killing herself. a 36- year old man is the only victim still in the hospital. his condition has been upgraded to fair. ( darya ) aghdam is one of very few women to become a mass shooter in the u-s. police say she was upset with youtube's policy changes. according to the f-b-i -- just 4 percent of mass shooting over the last 16 years... have involved a woman. ( darya ) doctor brenda wade

says we see more men than woman acting violently because of evolutionary and psycho- social factors... making it more difficult for men to vocalize their feelings. but she says the bigger issue is why we're seeing so many shootings. ( terisa ) in the south bay a fire destroys a home in san jose... displacing 6 people. this happened on the 32-hundred block of maple leaf court. when fire crews got to the home... it was completely engulfed in flames. one person was taken to the hospital. two others suffered minor injuries. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. ( terisa ) happening today... school employees in san rafael will attend an active shooter training class. the marin county sheriff's office is hosting the event. the goal is to prepare staff... in case they ever find themselves in an active shooter situation. employees will get information on the history of school shootings... response tactics... and what behaviors to look for. ( darya ) no one had their seatbelts on in a crash that killed two mothers and their children in mendocino county. the sheriffs office had said jennifer and sarah hart were buckled in their s-u-v. they are now backing away from that claims. meanwhile... crews in mendocino county are suspending the search for the bodies of 3 missing children. the harts and their kids plunged off a cliff on march 26th. authorities say it's likely the three missing children were swept away by the water. ( darya ) san francisco's district attorney has met with the family of a 19-year-old man fatally shot. a spokeswoman for jesus delgado- duarte's family says the d-a talked about the details of the case... and the legalities of police shootings with them. the family says they are now focusing their efforts on state legislation introduced this week... that would limit when officers can use lethal force. delgado-duarte died on march 6th when officers responding to a robbery found him hiding in the trunk of a car near capp and 21st streets. police say they shot him... after he shot first. ( darya ) the man involved in a two-hour standoff with petaluma police officers tuesday afternoon has died. sheriff deputies with sonoma county say 24-year-old luis alberto garcia-vara died of his injuries on yesterday. garcia-vara was shot in the abdomen on lakeville circle

near the adobe creek golf club. officers were responding to a domestic dispute. an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. ( terisa ) derick almena is facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter -- after the warehouse burned in december of 2016. 36 people attending a concert died in the blaze. earlier this year-- almena and max harris pleaded not guilty to those charges. in the motion to dismiss the charges -- his lawyer says prosecutors can't say almena was negligent because they don't know how the fire started. during the preliminary hearing, almena's attorneys also tried to get the cased thrown out. a hearing on the motion to dismiss the charges is set for may 11th. ( terisa ) ex-49er and raider aldon smith must now wear an ankle and alcohol monitor. smith was arraigned yesterday. the former n-f-l player violated a restraining order that prevented him from contacting the victim of a domestice

violence case. the judge warned smith to stop contacting the victim in the case... and to to stay away from the nob hill apartment building where the incident took place. developmental stage.. but as you just heard -- it worked. the earthquake hit off the coast. there were no reports of significant damage from ( terisa ) a camera caught this eagle's startled reaction when the quake it. the quake shook the bird's nest on santa cruz island. the eagle flew away... leaving three chicks behind. both parent eagles were raised at the san francisco zoo and released into the wild in 2005 and 2006. as for the chicks... the parents did return a short time later. ( terisa ) two billy goats trying to cross a bridge in western pennsylvania ... found themselves in quite a predicament. take a look at these photographs... the pennsylvania turnpike shared on facebook. state police first spotted the goats -- they had wandered onto a narrow beam of a bridge... and were stuck hundreds of feet in the air! turnpike employees borrowed a crane to rescue the animals-- they were safely returned to their farm.
