kron4's ella sogomonian has the story. pleasant hill police say 23- year-old oshry elor was killed inside this home at norse drive and viking street saturday night just before 11:15. neighbors who witnessed the police activity say it's unusual for the area.sot: nurallah yassin, neighbor// "compared to where i used to live, i used to live in oakland this is like a piece of cake. it's like a cake walk. but last night was the first time i'd seen an incident of this nature." police believe elor was shot at several times by a thief who was after his marijuana in a robbery that turned fatal. this the first homicide for the city in six years.sot: corporal anderson, pleasant hill police department// "i think anytime a person hears about a loss of life it can be shocking but i do think that residents would be a little bit more alarmed to hear that it occurred in pleasant hill because it's so uncommon." streets were blocked off during the investigation that neighbors say went on until at least 4 in the morning. sot: jredwin yballa, neighbor// "honestly i was just wondering if everyone else was safe. especially the neighborhood concern there were a lot of cops it was closed off from one block to the other. no one

ritsch/oaklandyou know it's a blast when you see it at lake meritt. one night i saw it like golf links on the freeway, it was crazy because in the middle of the freeway they started doing donuts. i was like wow police say.. 911 dispatch received several calls from concerned residents from all across the oakland area. daniel blair/witness there was an ambulance in front of the apartment building right here, when i drove through there, i was like what the heck is going on. witnesses say.. the group of 60-70 bikers aggressively circled police and at some point even repeatedly kicked patrol cars. police tell us there were about four police vehicles at that time.. so officers called for back up. and shortly after that, three people were arrested. one of them for wreckless driving.. the other two for stealing some sort of bikes. west of willow pass road on march 23-rd. jose amaya- rivera was driving when he crashed his s-u-v into another car. he and two of his female passengers were critically injured. one of the women died a week after the crash. amaya-rivera was arrested on saturday after he was released from the hospital. (robin) police have arrested eduardo antonio cha- var--ria---diaz in connection with the sexual assault of a high school jogger. the incident happened on march 28th...near the intersection of arastradero and deer creek roads. police say the man pulled the victim off the path, put a gun to her head and sexually assaulted her. after investigating, officers found cha-var-ria-diaz was involved in a similar situation that occurred in oakland last month. police arrested diaz in richmond sunday morning. (robin)a man is in jail after police say he attacked two victims at an oakland bart station. robert dolth of

san francisco was arrested after he stabbed two siblings in the head at the coliseum bart station. the victims told police they got on bart in south san francisco and noticied dolth was acting strange. feeling unsafe, they got off at the coliseum station. that's when dolth followed them and started attacking them. the female victim is in stable condition and her brother is in critcal condition. officials say dolth admitted to attacking the victims but did not give a motive. quite dramatic, the whole parking lot it's a wide rushing river, rushing.heavy rains friday caused the small creek nearby to flood..robert aptekar /stinson beachnever seen this. the entire parking lot, basically the asphalt has floated out onto the beach. i saw it earlier today from the beach side and came in and saw the garbage cans, large garbage cans that were six feet wide that were just floating down the river out onto the beach.sotsara stutz/stinson beachgoodness gracious i saw that the, i just though the parking lot was closed because of a little bit of water on the road here. but then i went on the beach there were huge cliffs of sand, where the dog parking was before the asphalt is gone. there are rocks and wood everywhere. and a huge portion of the parking lot is under water or ripped outthe parkside cafe along the beach.. was the hardest hit. employees say they spent most of friday night cleaning up water with the help of the fire department. and as of saturday, the market and the snack bar was still closed.. but the cage open for business.

protective order. those stem from domestic violence charges back in march. this is previously shot video. smith was arraigned thursday and told to wear an electronic ankle device that monitors sweat. there was a violation and he was then arrested friday. he will face a judge on wednesday. (robin) two men have been convicted of first-degree murder in the 2012 killing of a man in san francisco. this according to district attorney george gascon. the murder happened on july 13th, 2012...when gary smith was shot and killed near the baldwin hotel on sixth street. at the time of the incident, prosecutors said the two men approached smith, one of them said something to him, and the other pointed a large gun at him and fired three shots. (robin) facebook's ceo is heading to capitol hill this week. lawmakers are demanding answers from mark zuckerberg -- after a data firm with ties to the trump campaign mishandled data from

( james ) a man is arrested after police say he stabbed two victims in the head at an oakland bart station. robert dolth of san francisco was arrested at the coliseum bart station. the victims told police they got on bart in south san francisco on saturday and noticied dolth was acting erratically. feeling unsafe, they got off at the coliseum station. that's

( darya ) a pilot is dead after he crashed a small plane in petaluma. sonoma county sheriff's office got a call from the u-s air force about an emergency transponder that was activated in petaluma. shortly after a woman called petaluma police saying her husband had not come home. the pilot's family told authorities he left the petaluma airport on his way to san diego county. ( darya ) berkeley police have arrested the person involved in a strong-armed robbery near u-c berkeley. it happened at people's park in berkely saturday morning. police say the robber pulled the victim's cellphone from his hands and kicked and punched him. officers arrested the robber a short time later. the victim suffered minor injuries.

( james ) a man is arrested after police say he stabbed two victims in the head at an oakland bart station. robert dolth of san francisco was arrested at the coliseum bart station. the victims told police they got on bart in south san francisco on saturday and noticied dolth was acting erratically. feeling unsafe, they got off at the coliseum station. that's when dolth followed and started attacking them. both the female victim and her brother were hospitalized. the brother is in critcal condition. officials say dolth admitted to attacking the victims but did not give a reason why. devastation ( darya ) in world news ... dozens of people in syria have died in a chemical attack. now the u-n security council is set to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the situation and possible actions. we want to warn you the video you are about to see is disturbing. in this video you can see people, including children, suffering from a chemical attack. local rescuers say at least 48 people, including children, died in the attack. that includes families found in their homes and shelters. the syrian government is denying they were behind the attack. the white house has condemed the attack but has not said what it plans to do next. ( darya ) former san francisco 49er and oakland raider aldon smith has been arrested again. bond is set at half a million dollars for the 28 year old. arrest records show he was taken in on friday in san francisco for violating three charges of a protective order. those stem from domestic violence charges back in march. this is video of aldon from previous arrests and court appearances. smith was arraigned last thursday and ordered to wear an electronic ankle monitor. there was a violation and he was then arrested. he will be in court again on wednesday. murder in the 2012 killing of a san francisco man. the murder happened in july 2012 ...when gary smith was shot and killed near the baldwin hotel on sixth street. prosecutors say trumillion ballard and anthony pratt got into a fight with the victim over money for the purchase of a dog. smith was shot three times and died. video from nearby businesses caught the shooting on camera. ( james ) in mendocino county ... a body has been found in the ocean, near the crash site that killed at least 5 members of a family. the body was discovered saturday afternoon near the town of westport. deputies tell kron 4... the body appears to be an african american woman. three members of the hart family are still missing... two girls and a boy. the bodies of jennifer and sara hart... along with three of their six children... were recovered last month after their suv plunged off a cliff. authorities believe the crash was intentional. says they found the car on the beach with a 55-year-old woman and her dog alive. the woman is recovering in the hospital. ( darya ) a pilot is dead after he crashed a small plane in petaluma. sonoma county sheriff's office got a call from the u-s air force about an emergency transponder that was activated in petaluma. shortly after a woman called petaluma police saying her husband had not come home. the pilot's family told authorities he left the petaluma airport on his way to san diego county. ( darya ) berkeley police have arrested the person involved in a strong-armed robbery near u-c berkeley. it happened at people's park in berkely saturday morning. police say the robber pulled the victim's cellphone from his hands and kicked and punched him. officers arrested the robber a short time later. the victim suffered minor injuries. the attackers name has not yet been released. hundreds of bay area students are heading to the state capitol to talk gun control with lawmakers.within those students are two teens that were brought together by one cause... gun control. they are among 350 students from 35 different schools that banded together in just two weeks to form a group called bay area student activists.and in just two more weeks they're headed to the states capitol on a mission to influence lawmakers. they're driven to action by mass shootings across america and local gun violence. ( james )they're now joining the movement by scheduling meetings with more than a dozen assembly men and staffers in sacramento to present their concerns and solutions.the bay area student activists have launched a go fund me page to help pay for the buses they'll need to get to the state's capitol. ( james ) it's been nearly three months since the montecito mudslides damaged more than a hundred homes. but one small miracle just emerged from the mud.( darya ) a mudslide survivor says she lost many of her belongs but held out hope for her wedding rings. alys martinez has the story. natscontractor ann burgard was clearing and sifting through dirt and mud on mari and hank mitchel's propertywhen she found this frayed little bag. . in a massive pile of mud.ann burgard/ general contractor: "it was right by this pergola right here in the corner."the mitchel's survived the january 9th disaster when their home on santo thomas lane was hit by a wall of mud and badly damaged.they waited hours to be rescued.mari mitchel/ montecito:"i'm grateful to be alive, and my husband too." mitchel had put her wedding rings. . a watch. . and a

( darya ) border patrol officers found an empty horse trailer that they say was used in a human smuggling operation. it happened sunday near san diego. officers say the strong winds may have caused the horse trailer to over turn. the carriage was carrying at least 18 people ... and border patrol says it was a human smuggling operation. when first responders arrived - the trailer was empty. after the crash, the people inside tried to hide in the rocks and bushes. ( james ) many police departments have k-9 units. but officers in troy, michigan, want to add felines to their ranks. they started looking into what they call "catidates" for the first police feline on friday. the department tweeted last month that it would get a cat if it had 10-thousand followers by april... which they got. so, friday's event was the first round of selection for a feline officer. but even if they don't get recruited into the line of duty, the kittens will be up for adoption into loving families.
