(robin) in the north bay, authorities found a woman's body at an elementary school. the body was found on the playground at snow elementary in napa on sunday afternoon. police say there is no immediate threat to the community...and that parents of the school are being notified of the situation. (robin) a big story we're following this morning ... mountain view police arrested two men they say tried to kidnap a woman and shots were fired. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the details..

a monte carlo a monte carlo nightclub employee told me the struggle happened in the back parking lot when they believe the victim's boyfriend came looking for her.mountain view police say two men tried to shove a woman into their car saturday morning around 2 then fired several rounds as her friends tried to help. (ella: does news like that surprise you in this areasot: jesse donaldson, mountain view resident//"yeah always, it's not the first time we've had something like that happened. sometimes like that happened a while back. occasionally we hear that somebody gets beaten up, a while back there was a shot fired. but police tidied things up fairly quickly."and mountain view police responded just as quickly this time around.they spotted their car and arrested 19-year-old walter ramirez and 29-year-old guillermo perez of menlo park who they say are allegedly responsible for the shooting. monte carlo nightclub employees tell kron 4 they believe one of the two suspects is an ex-boyfriend of the victim who they claim came looking for her. locals say although castro street out front is fairly safe more secluded areas like the parking lot where this happened can get a bit dicey. sot: anya sanghal, mountain view resident//"but there aren't a lot of them and i tend to avoid those places but i would say i stay away from those places and i didn't expect a shooting to happen

(robin) police in the east bay are investigating a house fire that displaced six people. it happened on via san ardo near bockman road in san lorenzo on sunday evening. firefighters quickly put out the fire. officials say the fire started in a converted garage and spread to the home's attic. no injuries were reported. the red cross will assist the family with temporary housing. (robin) an elderly man is recovering after being rescued from a fire at a san francisco hotel. kron 4's sara stinson...brings us the latest.

the fire broke out in a room here at the europa hotel. i spoke to one man whose room is right next to the one that caught fire, he says he woke- up to the smell of smoke and called for help.sot: nikita dudar ("i wake up i saw the smoke coming out of the room and i went to get the security guys and they got everyone out of their rooms.")guests like nikita dudar rushed out of the europa hotel to evacuate just after nine sunday morning in north beach.sot: nikita dudar ("it was kind of scary there was smoke everywhere. the only thing i took was my iphone. we were trying to get out as soon as possible.")fire crews arrived shortly after and rescued a 70-year-old man from room 126 where the fire started. he was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. sot nikita dudar: ("i'm really scared about him, but he should be fine.")guests stood on columbus street for over an hour as crews continued to put out the fire and then investigate the scene. sot: norman dudum ("unfortunately there was a lot of people in the hotel and a lot of children. it's sad to see them all standing out here during the situation.")norman dudum is the owner of the taqueria next door, his business now has some water damage. sot: norman dudum ("it destroyed a tv and juke box, but hopefully we will be open later.")dudum says there's been several fires in the north beach area recently and he was worried this time it was his building that caught fire.sot: norman dudum ("when i heard someone call me about a fire i was very nervous so we were very

(robin) a 15-acre fire broke out near the coachella music festival. riverside county fire responded to flames near tyler street in coachella on sunday morning. that's about six and a half miles from the empire polo club where coachella is being held this year. 100 firefighters were able to put out the fire. the fire is

still being investigated. no inuries were reported. (robin) los angeles police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder in connection with a music studio fire that killed two people. the fire happened on saturday in universal city. police arrested a 28-year-old man after the fire at "top notch recordings". two other people were injured. the cause of the fire is under investigation by the l-a fire department arson team. firefighters say the building did not appear to have zoning permits for a music studio. (robin) former fbi director james comey is breaking his silence about president trump. during an interview last night, comey says the president is morally unfit for the office.

bombing in syria .... civilians, innocent people are getting killed!people from different walks of life are standing in unison against what they consider military agression by the united states and its allies.the same syrians that are being banned from entering the united states and reuniting with their families, are now being bombed by the united states so we unequivocally stand against the united states bombing in the regionthe coordinated aristrikes were in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack in the country last weekend that reportedly left dozens dead. but protestors believe there's another reason for the strikes.we think these bombings have nothing to do with helping the syrian people, it has to do with advancing the particular interest of the corporate war machine of the pentagon and washingtonwe're supposed to be a peaceful country, but i haven't seen that in a long timethose wanting the bombings to stop say, the attacks won't deter further use of chemical weapons by the assad regime. there's russia, there's iran,

coast... the ácrossroads of the westá gun show made a stop in daly city. the cow palace has hosted the event for more than 30-years now... but as kron four's philippe djegal reports... recent mass shootings have sparked protests at gun shows across the country... and, saturday's event was no different. (philippe) among the gun owners who walked out of the cow palace with accessories for firearms... john buchter (book-turr) and his wife dixie.john buchter/gun owner- "look at uh, prices, looking for ammo and just trincates mostly too." before heading back home to san lorenzo... the buchter's passed a group of anti gun violence protestors. demonstrators whose rights to express themselves the buchter's fully support.john buchter/gun owner- "i understand what they say, but believe a lot of people are misinformed, i guess. they just go with emotions."dixie buchter/gun rights suppoter- "they're blaming the guns and not the person that's behind the gun. (john) yeah, to me it's like drunk driving. you don't blame the car -- it's a person driving the car." the contingent of protestors was small -- only about a dozen. they say the way they get their point across is not by shouting people down... but by having

in the city of oakland. the east oakland congress of neighborhoods has scheduled a public meeting at 6 p-m today. it will be at the st. anthony's school gym ... at the corner of east 15th street and 16th avenue. organizers say the purpose of the meeting is to ask that the city budget include money for more cleanup crews, inspectors and lighting. they say oakland mayor libby schaaf will be attending. (robin) the debate about paying sales tax for á onlineá purchases is heading to the u-s supreme court. retailers like amazon and walmart collect sales tax on all online sales in the 45 states with a statewide sales tax. many smaller retailers don't -- unless they have a physical presence in the state where the buyer lives. the trump administration will join the argument in favor of online retailers being required to collect sales taxes everywhere. accepted into all eight ivy league schools on full ride scholarships in her community in new jersey. reporter cindy hsu talked to that student and her teacher about how she made it happen. "yeah all my friends are really supportive."anna rezk is incredibly modest but she just made history at high technical high school as the first student to be accepted into all 8 ivy league colleges on full ride scholarships. anna rezk-12th grader:" it was very surprising and very surreal at the same time because i didn't actually think it was real"but anna put in the work... she has a 5.63 grade point average thanks to all the advaced placement classes she took, and scored a 1570 out of 1600 on her sat's. her parents immigrated from egypt and her father died from pancreatic cancer when she was just 13, so now she wants to find a cure.anna's twin brother john says anna became

the city of brotherly love.... now in the middle of a controversy. many calling for a starbucks boycott following this arrest. this now viral video shot inside a philadelphia-area starbucks shows two black men being handcuffed and taken away. men's friend: "what did they get called for? because they're two black guys sitting here meeting?"the man in the gray vest is a real estate investor.he's heard telling officers the men were waiting to meet with him to discuss a deal. the men's lawyer says they waited for for less than 15 minutes and did nothing wrong. lauren wimmer, attorney for men: "these people were doing what people do every single day they were having a meeting. they were undoubtedly singled out simply by their race. "philadelphia's police commissioner is defending the arrest. he says a starbucks employee called police to report a disturbance and accused the men of trespassing. richard ross, philadelphia police commissioner: "these officers did absolutely nothing wrong. they did a service that they were called to do."the men were released from custody at the police station after it

( james ) former fbi director james comey is breaking his silence about president trump. during an interview last night, comey says the president is morally unfit for the office. comey warned that if president trump ever tries to fire special counsel robert mueller, then it would be the president's most serious attack yet on the rule of law. comey said that it is possible the russians could have information on trump that could be used to compromise him. the white house is firing back saying comey has no credibility and is just trying to sell his book.

president trump unleashed a series of tweets yesterday morning accusing comey of revealing classified information, suggesting he should go to jail. ( james ) happening today... president trump's personal attorney will ask a judge to stop the fbi from looking through his records. the department of justice announced friday that michael cohen is under criminal investigation in regards to his business dealings. cohen has admitted to paying adult film actress stormy daniels 130-thousand dollars to keep quiet about an alleged affair with trump before his presidency. ( darya ) new this morning ...a woman is under arrest for stealing a cash donation box for a petaluma little league. this is an update to a story we first brought you last week . a sonoma sheriff's deputy found the woman on stony point road in rohnert park last night. the deputy recognized her as the woman from the surveillance video of the theft. deputies say she also had 2 separate warrants for theft.

( darya ) palo alto police are looking for a man who robbed a bank dressed like a constuction worker.this a survallience photo of that suspect. police say he demanded money with a gun tucked into his waistband. it happened friday afternoon at the comerica bank on lytton avenue. police say when the teller went to a back
