(anchor) time now to check on our weather... with meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez (mabrisa rodriguez)shower activity is forecasted to diminish by late this evening as the main trough axis shifts inland to our east. as winds also diminish, look for colder conditions region-wide tonight into tuesday morning with lows in the 30s to middle 40s. dry, cool weather conditions are forecast for tuesday and into most of wednesday ahead of another approaching system. this system is forecast to move in from the northwest and bring light precipitation to portions of the region from wednesday night into early thursday. the quick moving system will only produce light rainfall amounts, generally 0.10" or less with isolated amounts upwards of 0.25" along the coastal ranges. a ridge of high pressure is then

likely to build back over the region and along much of the west coast by late in the week. this will result in a warming and drying trend for the region from upcoming weekend. look for temperatures to warm back to or above seasonal averages by widespread 70s to lower 80s expected for inland areas. dry weather conditions also appear likely into the extended forecast period. (vicki) police are looking for two men who they say sexually assaulted a woman-- as she was trying to get a ride home from a bar. it happened over the weekend when the 24-year-old woman was at bruno's bar in san francisco's mission district. police say the woman called a car to take her home.. and when she got into the car another man was sitting in the back seat. the driver then took the woman to a location in sonoma where police say she was beaten and choked by the other passenger. police say both men then sexually assaulted her. they say it's not clear if the woman got into the proper ride sharing car... or if it was a similar car to the one she ordered. she was found near a safeway in sonoma...

(grant/on cam) now to the south-bay....which was rattled by anearthquake this morning. the quake had a magnitude of 3-point-8 and was centered about nine miles northeast of downtown san jose in the alum rock region. kron four's rob fladeboe felt it it and he joins us now live from san jose. rob? (rob live) i was clear across town near the airport and i felt a pretty good jolt. same goes for folks here in san jose's alum rock neighborhood, where the earthquake was accompanied by some crazy weather, but no, there is no connection. "....i heard the thunder first and then i felt the car shaking..."the shaking, which coincided with heavy rain, thunder andlightning, about 9:40 this morning, rattled windows in buildings across the valley and it did not go unnoticed here at capitol square in san jose's alum rock district. "....i was in bed
5:08 pm
and it just started shaking and i thought it has to be am earthquake..." "...it was just kind of rocking back and forth and my son said is everything okay...."it turns out the epicenter of the magnitude 3-point-9 temblor, was about half way between san jose and fremont on the calaveras fault, which is known for unleashing quakes of this size says the u.s. geological survey's keith knudsen.keith knudsen/usgs "...this is a part of the fault that creeps so it moves more slowly, it's also a place where the calaveras fault and hayward merge so it complicates things with a lot of movement between earthquakes....yes, there were a couple of similar quakes on this section of the calaveras fault late last year. the last significant quake here was a magnitude 5-point-5 temblor back in 2007. and no, the usgs says there is no such thing as earthquake weather so no connection with the rain, thunder and lightning. but it definitely got our attention ...i was just sitting a at my desk and it started rocking back and forth and i thought, oh my god, rain, thunder, lightning, earthquake, it must be california...."
5:09 pm
(rob live) we all tend to feel and describe earthquakes just a little differently but most of the people i talked with described this as a kind of fast, hard, jolt. the usgs says that is often an indication of a relatively minor earthtquake. it also says there as a very slim chance that this is an indication a larger quake is about to strike. (grant) and don't forget... we have a special earthquake section on kron4.com. there you will find a map of the latest quakes to hit the bay area. we also have information on what you should do when an earthquake hits-- as well as what you should

"one thing i've always said is when we are playing it's about us. it's about what we do. i don't really focus on what other teams do or what their gonna do as far as their aggressiveness or the force that they play with. if we come out with the force we are capable with. we'll be just fine.""the biggest thing with the spurs is communicating defensively. they do a really good job of moving the ball and getting the ball where they want it in terms of getting shooters in position to score. they are a well coached team. you gotta be on one accord to defend them well and just gotta be locked in." as expected, no steph curry in the lineup, however, we do expect him to go through a pregame workout... as he

they answered the call... holding the spurs to 40- percent shooting from the field and not letting them establish any rhythm. but the warriors know... not to get too comfortable with gregg popovich on the other side (wipe to sot: andre iguodale and manu ginobli) i think you keep the same focus and you just go out there with the same intent you're back at square one you're not up 1-0 it's still 0-0 you still have home court advantage so you still want to take advantage of that you know when you're going back to a tough san antonio crowd in their arena we know how hard it is to win there we gave them one without working that hard i mean they played great and they made a lot of shots, but we were not very attentive to the details too many mistakes and they killed us on the boards also so hopefully we give them a better fight and see if we can make it a close game down the stretch if we can get away with it. for more on the warriors

and spurs... we go live to oracle arena and mark carpenter... while the warriors put together a wonderful performance on saturday, we can't ignore the fact this series does not have its full star power. in addition to steph curry being out...kawhi leonard will not be making an appearance at all in these playoffs. that's not a surprise considering he didn't play the entire season, but reports surfaced this weekend, there will be no miracle return.in his absence, the warriors are forced to lean on lamarcus aldridge and they zeroed in on him in game 1... holding him to 14-points.but the warriors know he's one of those players that can make

adjustments. (wipe sot) "that's with anybody, if you can kind of limit their one option, it makes it tough for everyone. in saying that, i think javale did a good job on him. i think we did a great job collectively. i've seen us play better defense on him before and he scored way more." " they play a good brand. they dont beat themselves, they

kind of play hard every second their on the floor, they believe in themselves and they believe in eachother. it's a great combination to have for a baskebtall team, but obviously they're missing their best player it's up to us to actually execute it i guess and come with energy and try to out match their energy. we're down a game right now fighting for our lives that's what the playoffs are about you know i expect our younger guys to step up and our veterans also to bring that experience and be smarter this game than we were the last game. game. and how about the sharkies... up 2-0 in their series and now back at home
6:50 pm
for tonight's game 3... they went down to anaheim and taken the first two games of their series... timely scoring... three goals in each of the first two games... great defense... and great goaltendeding by martin jones... he has 55 saves and has allowed only two goals in those two games... not the sharks are back at home tonight and wednesday with a chance to close the ducks out... what do you say peter deboer and logan couture?... (wipe to sot) we've worked to get this lead and we're going continue to work that doesn't mean it's going to be easy they're going to play well you know they might win a game tonight and we might have to regroup we know this isn't going to be easy.any victory this time of the year is difficult to earn and you got to play a full 60 to earn it each trip is so important mistakes end up in the back of your net this time of the year so we realize how tough it is to win each game and how difficult it will be to win tonght.
