( marty )happening now... police in walnut creek are investigating a fatal crash. one person was killed. it happened this morning on northbound highway 6-80, just north of olympic boulevard. the crash closed all lanes on the freeway for a time.. but the lanes are re-opened. no word on the cause of the accident. no other injuries have been reported.

( marty ) our top story this morning... police are investigating a shooting at a daly city bowling alley. it happened last night. that's where we find kron 4's sara stinson. sara... are police reporting any injuries from this shooting? (áásaraáá)im live here at the classic bowling center where shots rang out, hitting one man.you can see in the video daly police had the area tapped off. police say the shooting was first reported at 9:19 last night. when officers arrived they found a man with at least one gunshot wound inside the bowling center. he is now at sf general in crtical condition. we dont have any other information about the victim or if police have the shooter in custody. police are investigating this as an attempted homicide. we hope to learn more in the next hour... and when we do we'll bring it you right here on kron 4. ( marty ) many residents in concord are relieved to be waking up in their homes this morning... they were evacuated by last week's huge apartment fire. kron four's philippe djegal has the story. it's good to be back home -- says youssef (you-siff) abdallah.. his apartment building on galindo street is still in tact. his apartment unit itself -- sparred any damage.youssef abdallah/resident- "in the hallway upstairs and in the

restroom, i can smell the smoke, so i don't know where it's coming from, but thank god, none of the clothes smell like smoke. the apartments great on the inside." although local and federal fire investigators are still around... and, will be for quite some time... abdallah doesn't mind -- saying he understands the clean-up in concord could be lengthy, while investigators work to determine a cause of the fire. he just appreciates being allowed back in before any more time passes. youssef abdallah/resident- "being home and just laying in your bed and watching your shows and relaxing. it was good -- i just stayed home." the city of concord removed the red tag on this apartment complex once it concluded there was no further serious risk of parts of the damaged structure collapsing onto the apartments. friday -- some 250 residents were allowed back in.robert marshall/fire marshall- "for most of the week, the uh, uh, air quality inside of the apartments and inside of the apartment building area, uh, was very unhealthy. so, for that reason, we wanted to keep people out." the ordeal stressful for pets as well. john herring and his cat have been staying with friends the past few days. a little surprised that the fire turned out to be as large and dangerous as it was.john herring/resident- "i thought it was just going to be a couple of hours. uh, it turned into more than that obviously."

( marty ) police arrested a woman who ran over a c-h-p officer in san francisco. she's identified as nicole kristine wade. detectives say she dragged the officer over one-thousand feet... as she attempted to flee a traffic stop friday night. the woman eventually collided into the side barrier of the bridge. the officer was released from the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. wade has three outstanding warrants on her record. ( marty ) the city of san pablo is installing new, high tech crime fighting cameras. the cameras not only record, but they also automatically move and focus in on crimes... according to san pablo police -- since they began using cameras in 2011 - gun violence has fallen

( marty ) the coast guard has called off the search for a fisherman who fell overboard yesterday. it happened near the antioch bridge. kron4's ella sogomonian reports the missing man was not wearing a life jacket. sot: ella sogomonian, @ellasogomonian// "emergency crews were out on the water within minutes. they found one of the two boaters alive but the second was unfortunately swept into the water."a coast guard helicopter circled above the water by the antioch bridge helping out the contra costa county sheriff's office and fire department in a search for two fishermen who fell overboard. the sheriff's marine services unit reported the men were preparing to anchor when a wake knocked them over. ella: "what are some things you would say a boater should look out for before they start fishing?" sot: divonn thornton, fisherman// "berms. big boats, definitely big boats because once you got the shipping containers come through they make a big wake and that will flip your boat." one was saved by a passing boater...while the other remains missing.

that's where stanley always finds people behaving badly. there is a mini van . wait did you catch the illegal u-turn in the background trafficas i was saying there is this minivan stopped in the middle of the street but allow me to explain why the driver stopped nats: ambiance you see not long ago the uber and lyft staging area for san francisco international airport use to be in san bruno there is a lighted sign in san bruno which reads tnc lot now located at south mcdonnell... road but some ride hail drivers are still playing catch up so you know they moved the lot right? yea i'm trying to figure out where it's at now it's been moved to the city of millbrae ...and instead of one lot there are now two lots .lot 1 is the main lot and number 2 is the overflow lot .now normally with new digs there is a new attitude except we're dealing with uber and lyft drivers, so signs are usually a suggestion . for instance leaving lot 1 no right turn .. nats:ambiance over on

( marty ) take a look at this! dashcam video shows a close encounter between police officers near houston... and an angry cow. deputies were investigating reports of a cow that may have been hit by a car. they said it didn't appear to be hurt. it did - however - seem to have a bad attitude towards humans. you can see it charging at deputies in the video. after a few passes... the cow headed into the woods. ( marty ) it was back in january when san francisco announced it would drop thousands of minor marijuana convictions. prosecutors are also reviewing thousands of felony cases for potiential reductions. it appears that the same may be happening in the northwest. seattle's city attorney wants more than 500 misdemeanor drug cases dropped with the mayor's

( marty ) police arrested a woman who ran over a c-h-p officer in san francisco. she's identified as nicole kristine wade. detectives say she dragged the officer over one-thousand feet... as she attempted to flee a traffic stop friday night. the woman eventually collided into the side barrier of the bridge. the officer was released from the hospital with non-life threatening

a hit and run collision in berkley. but a p-g and e power pole was destroyed and that shut down a major intersection for several hours. police say a witness on their way to work saw the hit and run. we first told you about it yesterday on kron 4 news weekend. it happened at the corner of ashby and and acton. a man driving in the eastbound lane hit that pole and then walked away from the scene with a passenger. they were both unharmed. ( marty ) berkeley police found several bottles of alcohol in the car, which has since been towed and impounded. it took pg&e crews all day to replace the power pole. but, the eastbound lanes on ashby are now open. breakers, kron 4's stanley roberts simply camps outside anywhere uber and lyft drivers congregate... that's where stanley always finds people behaving badly. there is a mini van . wait did you catch the illegal u-turn in the background trafficas i was saying there is this minivan stopped in the middle of the street but allow me to explain why the driver stopped nats: ambiance you see not long ago the uber and lyft staging area for san francisco international airport use to be in san bruno there is a lighted sign in san bruno which reads tnc lot now located at south mcdonnell... road but some ride hail drivers are still playing catch up so you know they moved the lot right? yea i'm trying to figure out where it's at now it's been moved to the city of millbrae ...and instead of one lot there are now two lots .lot 1 is the main lot and number 2 is the overflow lot .now normally with new digs there is a new attitude except we're dealing with uber and lyft drivers, so signs are usually

in millbrae stanley roberts kron 4 news ( marty )( marty ) take a look at this! dashcam video shows a close encounter between police officers near houston... and an angry cow. deputies were investigating reports of a cow that may have been hit by a car. they said it didn't appear to be hurt. it did - however - seem to have a bad attitude towards humans. you can see it charging at deputies in the video. after a few passes... the cow headed into the woods. saturday was star wars day at the sacramento zoo. visitors took selfies with the iconic star wars characters for free. there was also a variety of activites throughout the day. they learned how animals from our galaxy relate to the creatures from the star wars universe.
