investigating a fatal shooting in albany. albany police say a man was found shot and hunched over a park bench on sunday. the found him on masonic avenue ... near ohlone greenway. the victim was taken to a hospital ... but he died. his name has not been released. police are still looking for the shooter. we spoke with neighbors who say they were shocked. (robin) anyone with information is asked to call albany police. (robin) four people had to be rescued and pulled out of the water in pacifica last night after their boat was pushed onto the beach. kron 4's gayle ong has the latest on what's next for the people who were living on board. :07

was made to deputies and they say the man was knocked into the water around that time. two men were on the boat and were trying to set an anchor to fish when a wake came along. the wake hit the boat... causing the men to fall off. neither man had a life jacket on but one was picked up by a passing boater. officials have not released the name of the boater. (robin) take a look at this... it was a very wet afternoon in the south bay. an s-u-v crashed into a fire hydrant... flooding walsh avenue near northwestern parkway in santa clara. these pictures were taken by the santa clara fire department. you can see it was quite the mess. fortunately... no one was seriously hurt. (robin) several small earthquakes rattled the east bay. they shook danville yesterday afternoon. and according to the u.s. geological survey, two were 3.0 magnitude. kron 4's michelle kingston was in downtown danville to gage peoples thoughts on all the shaking. "the place" is having it's ultimate last call sunday night.the nieghborhood dive bar is closing after 30 years. devastated this is like my go to bar. it's kind of like that neighborhood bar, everyone knows each other, everyone knows each other story. it's

hallway upstairs and in the restroom, i can smell the smoke, so i don't know where it's coming from, but thank god, none of the clothes smell like smoke. the apartments great on the inside." although local and federal fire investigators are still around... and, will be for quite some time... abdallah doesn't mind -- saying he understands the clean-up in concord could be lengthy, while investigators work to determine a cause of the fire. he just appreciates being allowed back in before any more time passes. youssef abdallah/resident- "being home and just laying in your bed and watching your shows and relaxing. it was good -- i just stayed home." the city of concord removed the red tag on this apartment complex once it concluded there was no further serious risk of parts of the damaged structure collapsing onto the apartments. friday -- some 250 residents were allowed back in.robert marshall/fire marshall- "for most of the week, the uh, uh, air quality inside of the apartments and inside of the apartment building area, uh, was very unhealthy. so, for that reason, we wanted to keep people out." the ordeal stressful for pets as well. john herring and his cat have been staying with friends the past few days. a little surprised that the fire turned

( james ) arizona senator john mccain -- who is fighting brain cancer -- hugged his son- in-law and asked him to look after his daughter. that's according to a tweet that has since been deleted. it was posted by ben domenech... who is married to meghan mccain. john mccain was hospitalized earlier this month... because of an intestinal infection. mccain has a brain tumor. he had brain surgery in july 2017... around the time he revealed his diagnosis. the chance of surviving two years with this aggressive type of cancer is about 30 percent. ( james ) amazon c-e-o jeff bezos is one step closer to sending paying customers into space. bezos' company blue origin sucessfully launched its eighth rocket test flight. the new shepard capsule is designed to carry up to six space tourists. 'mannequin skywalker' a dummy astronaut was included on the trip. new shepard then came back to earth and landed on a platform near the launch site. blue origin will start test flights later this year to start carrying people... but no target dates have been set. ( james ) t-mobile and sprint are merging companies. the new company will take on t-mobile's name and leave just two other major wireless carriers in the u-s -- verizon and a-t-and-t. sprint and t-mobile first discussed the merger in 2014... but plans stalled because of concerns about regulatory challenges from the obama administration. regulators in the trump administration will have to sign off on the merger before it's final. ( robin ) ( james ) the australian government pledged half a billion dollars to restore and protect the great barrier reef. that's according to the australian environment minister josh frydenberg. frydenberg tweeted that this is "the largest ever single investment" to protect the reef. he says the reef contributes over six billion dollars annually to the economy.
