fortunately there were no serious injuries. lawrence karnow: we enjoyed plenty of clouds and drizzle near the coast this morning. the afternoon turned mostly sunny all the way to the coast. tonight will be mostly clear early before a return of patchy fog and coastal drizzle. a high wind watch has been posted for this friday and saturday. we could see some winds gusting over the mountains as high as 55 mph. on the satellite image you can see a few clouds off the coast and high pressure ready to build in over the next few days. as high pressure builds in we can expect offshore winds to bring clear skies and warmer weather to the bay area. highs tomorrow will be warmer with 70s and low 80s inland, 60s and 70s around the bay and 50s and 60s but becoming mostly sunny at the coast. the warming trend will continue on friday and saturday with plenty of sunshine to the coast but occasionally gusty winds too. mother's day should be a little cooler but nice. there is a slight chance of showers
