(grant) (grant) happening now... bart riders tell us they're becoming more and more concerned as needles keep showing up on train seats. less than one week after woman was stuck by needle while sitting on bart -- this is a new photo of more needles on bart seats. kron 4's sara stinson reports. "just as a passenger was about to sit down on a bart train he saw three needles scattered across two seats. he took a photo of that and now that photo has bart commuters worried about their safety.") here is the photo a bart passenger snapped on tuesday at the powell bart station in san francisco.("that's scary, yeah that's scary because everybody rides bart.")this comes just days after - linda quan boarded a san francisco- bound train for work, when she was pricked by a needle in a train seat. quan now has get

treatments and testing for the next year and a half.since then photos and videos of syringes at bart stations have been pouring into the kron 4 newsroom. bart spokesperson alicia troast says this may be because bart has put been focusing it's enforcement and clean-ups in the hallways. ("it's a cat and mouse game, it pushes people on to trains or up above our stations anywhere for those who are suffering can then do their illegal activity."trains are cleaned after each run throughout the day. ("a cleaner actually walks the length of the train and they are looking. obviously they can't search every inch. thats the type of cleaning that happens at night, but a lot of stuff happens throughout the day.")bart says its hiring more officers and cleaning crews.but troast says with 46 stations and 400-thousand passengers a day - they need all the help they can get spotting drug use and paraphernalia.("we can have cleaners that are stationed at key transfer areas that can

(rob live) this is arguably the "most-watched" contest on next week's ballot. today, there were dueling rallys, if you will, to help voters make up their minds. judge aaron persky "...this is a devisive issue judge aaron persky himself was the keynote speaker at a rally opposing his recall from the

several men are behind bars after they tried to contact children through mobile apps. the warning parents need to heed. (grant) plus-- backlash continues after roseanne barr's racist tweet. what she says caused her to say those things. (vicki) plus after the break-- we are just one day away from the first game in the n-b-a finals. and the warriors will be without one of their key players. mark carpenter joins us with a preview ahead of the matchup between golden state and cleveland.
5:13 pm
5:14 pm
5:15 pm
(vicki) it's almost that time. by this time tomorrow. oracle arena will be filling up for game 1 of the nba finals.(grant) the warriors and cavaliers opening up part 4 of their saga. both teams met with the media today... mark carpenter joins us and has the latest.
5:16 pm
for the last four years, the nba has been dominated by the warriors and cavaliers. this time around, the odds are heavily leaning toward golden state's favor, but anything can happen in a series. let's go to oracle, both teams praticed today before sitting down with the media. all the players made their rounds with the interviews. it's been well documented this is the 4th year in a row they'll meet for the championship... the first time that's happened in any of the four major pro sports. one of the topics that came up was warriors-cavaliers fatigue. for nearly half a decade now, both of these teams have been so dominant... and players were asked about whether it's good for the nba to see the same teams over and over. i mean, it's a weird kind of dynamic thinking about this is the fourth time in a row we've played cleveland in the finals. obviously, lebron's still there and he's the mister everything for them. he's been playing amazing the whole regular season and especially in these playoffs to will his team back here. i mean, it may not be as suspenseful as a lot of people
5:17 pm
want it to be or as drama filled, but that's what you've got movies and music for.i think this is a great display of basketball on the court from both sides, and if you're a real lover of the game, you can enjoy how both teams play it, even though it may be different. it's still organic and true to the game, pure to the game. so if you enjoy basketball, i don't feel like you should have any complaints because it's a great set of players on both teams. and the warriors will be without andre iguodala for the start of the finals - he has been ruled out for game 1. he's missed the last four games with what the team is calling a lateral leg contusion and bone bruise. this is key for golden state as iguodala is known for being the primary defender on lebron james. the 34-year-old was finals mvp two years ago for holding james to under 40 percent shooting from the
5:18 pm
field. iguodala on ways to help the team from the sidelines.. "even if you are not out there, you are just enjoying it . why sulk and be down on yourself because the situation is what is was. like i said, those negative thoughts can weigh on the mind which in turn can keep you from healing."" he was mvp of the series in 2015, largely because he took that role on of guarding lebron. but also because of what he did offensively. he's doing a little bit better today tipoff is set for 6pm (grant) and kron 4 has expanded
5:19 pm
coverage of the n-b-a finals. it starts with a special show tomorrow at 4-pm... followed by the kron4 news at 5. my name is jamir dixon and i'm a locate and mark fieldman for pg&e. most people in the community recognize the blue trucks as pg&e. my truck is something new... it's an 811 truck. when you call 811, i come out to your house and i mark out our gas lines and our electric lines to make sure that you don't hit them when you're digging. 811 is a free service. i'm passionate about it because every time i go on the street i think about my own kids. they're the reason that i want to protect our community and our environment, and if me driving a that truck means that somebody gets to go home safer, then i'll drive it every day of the week. together, we're building a better california. i support the affordable care act, and voted against all trump's attempts to repeal it. but we need to do more. i believe in universal health care. in a public health option to compete with private insurance companies. and expanding medicare to everyone over 55. and i believe medicare must be empowered to negotiate the price of drugs.
