report blames downed tree limbs hitting pg&e power lines for the october eighth atlas fire that burned 51=thousand acres, nearly 800 structures and killed six people.and killed six 800 structures and killed six people. power lines were also blamed for the combined partrick, nuns and adobe fires in sonoma valley that covered 57=thousand acres, 13=hundred structures and caused another half dozen deaths.(catherine)the same is true for the smaller fire along highway 37, as well as the pocket fire farther north. the utility has "not" been blamed for the tubbs fire that raced from calistoga to santa rosa, incinerated 16=hundred homes, and killed at least 22 people.that fire is still under investigation. calfire says it's referring its report to local district attorneys for possible criminal charges. author and storyteller anthony bourdain is dead at 61. the cause of death has been confirmed as a suicide. fans and colleagues around the world have been expressing their love and support. that includes here in san francisco... one of bourdains favorite places. owners of the swan oyster depot here on polk street say they've been getting inundated with calls from people who want to come in and visit the restaurant as a way to remember anthony bourdain. bourdain first visited the establishment more than 20- years ago. the owners son tells me of all the chefs that visited, bourdain was one of the most down to earth.cg: kevin sancimino/swan oyster depot he said every time

half moon bay resident was arrested last november. the crime surfaced when coda and his wife were looking to adopt a child. his wife alerted officals after a friend found hundreds of child pornagraphy images on his computer. a later forensic search revealed more than three thousands related images. coda will serve up to four years probation after he is released from prison and register as a sex offender. (catherine) yesterday morning - a fire destroyed this boat at the san rafael yacht harbor -- leaving a dog to fend for himself. firefighters worked to knock the fire down - but couldn't reach the dog. but then - san rafael police officer travis ruggles jumped into a row boat. the dog was trapped in a small area of the deck.... ruggles rescued the dog...reuniting him with his owner. no injuries were reported.

that breaking news... is a big story.cal fire is now blaming p-g-&e for starting at least a dozen wildfires .. which devastated parts of northern california last fall.((2shot/pam))thanks for joining us.. i'm pam moore ((catherine))and i'm catherine heenan in for ken wayne. cal fire has just released its findings a couple of hours ago.. talking about exctly what sparked the ferocious wildfires last october, some of them in the bay area. ((pam/fsc))here's what we know.. cal- fire investigators have determined that 12- northern california wildfires last october, were caused by electric power and distribution lines. among those... the atlas fire in napa county, which burned more than 51- thousand acres and killed six people. officials say, a large tree branch fell on a power line sparking that blaze. also, the pocket fire which

destroyed more than 17- thousand acres in sonoma county. that fire was started when a large oak tree broke... and came in contact with a power line. the tubbs fires, which wiped out complete neighborhoods in santa rosa... is still under investigation. the firestorm destroyed more than 240-thousand acres, and killed 44 people.they were largely fueled by extremely dry conditions and wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour. happened thursday around 2pm on the 5200 block of clayton road in concord. the young girl told concord police investigators that at one point she could see that the man appeared to be holding some kind of beverage in his hand, and in what she described as a slurred voice he yelled hey let me give you a ride. police say she quickly ran across the street into a nearby business and called her mom to come pick her up. this is photo of the type of vehicle she described to police. it is a black late 80's early 90's box styled four-door-sedan with tinted windows. the vehicle had oxidized paint. the driver is descibed as a white male in his 30's, short wavy black hair, trimmed beared, medium build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt.45-minutes later, less than a mile away a similar incident occurs here on bassett drive near boxer blvd. police say this time it was a 15-year-old girl who was approached by man driving a vehicle who asked to help her carry her books and reportedly made lude comments about her body. the incident has rattled nerves of residents in this quiet neighborhoodsot

(catherine) the calfire report blames downed tree limbs hitting pg&e power lines for the october eighth atlas fire... it burned 51=thousand acres, nearly 800 builginds....and left 6 people dead. power lines --- also blamed for the combined partrick, nuns and adobe fires in sonoma valley. that covered 57=thousand acres, 13=hundred buildings and caused another half dozen deaths. power lines - again blamed for the smaller fire along highway 37, and the pocket fire farther north.(pam) the utility has "not" been blamed for the tubbs fire that raced from calistoga to santa rosa, incinerated 16=hundred homes, and killed at least 22 people. that fire is still under investigation. calfire says it's referring its report to local district attorneys for possible criminal charges.
