convict and fine pg&e in the 2010 san bruno explosion. state senator jerry hill (d-san bruno):pg&e had diverted 500-million dollars from safety, from maintenance, from operations to and diverted to bonuses and incentives for executives, that they had not done the mainteance that was necessary, had not done the proper testing, they neglected the system. and that is what investigators say is the case with the fires.they say.. 11 out of the 16 that have been fully investigated... arted because of damaged pg&e power lines and equipment. state senator jerry hill (d-san bruno):pg& e is going out of their way right now in sacramento trying to convince everyone that there is a new normal, that the narrative has changed, that now we have a common problem of climate change that is causing these fires. climate change did not start a fire, it doesn's start fires a fire has to be ignited by something, a spark somewhere. and if pg& e is negligent allowing and causing that spark, they should be responsible for the cost of that fire. (hermela aregawi)in the san bruno explosion, pg&e was convicted of a felony and
