for now the tenant remains behind bars and the 70- year-old land lord has been reunited with her family...in oakland haaziq madyun kron4news (grant) the city of oakland is getting ready to host its third warriors championship parade in the last four years. tomorrow-- a million tomorrow-- a million people are expected to pack into the downtown area to celebrate the win. (vicki) yeah, the parade begins around 11am tomorrow... but prepartions for the parade have already begu kron 4's charles clifford has details on what to expect. well, officially fans can start lining up along the parade route tuesday morning around 630. i was at the last years parade, and there were a lot of people in place long before then.also , the biggest change this year is that there will not be a rally after the parade. the team and the city of oakland say they want to focus on putting together the

best parade possible.now, the parade begins at broadway an11th street at 11am. from there the player riding turn rightnto 20th street. en then they turn right again onto harrisson then left onto 19th street. the parade then merges onto lakeside drive and ends at lakeside and 13th street.in preparation, the city of oakland has been building grandstands and putting up fencing all along the route. fans can watch the from any point along the parade route route as long as they stay behind the fencing. there will also be three first aid station and two lost children locations near the parade.now, fans are encourage to bring sunscreen, hats, water, team wear, as well as signs and banners as long as they don't block the view of the parade and don't have any obscenities.you can not bring drones, coolers, glass containers or cans. alchohol, drugs, weapons, umbrellas, tents, laser pointers, scooters, bikes, lawn furntiture or fireworks. finally, be aware that there will be very little parking downtown and many street closures that will last for a good part of the day. also people are strongly encourage to take public transporation or walk to the parade. in oakland, charles clifford kron 4 news.

almost a week since the election... and people who live in san francisco are still waiting to find out who their next mayor is. that's because rank choice voting is a longer process than the traditional ballot counting. kron 4's ali reid is live in san francisco tonight where we just got an update on the race. ali? it's still a very tight race. both candidates are within a slither of a percentage point from victory. right now election personnel are downstairs counting those votes, and according to the board of elections ... it's still too close to call. the weekend started with mark leno leading, but throughout the weekend, with tens of thousands of votes counted, supervisor london breed has taken the lead ... and that's within 1600 votes. london breed maintains the lead with a total 106-thousand 536 votes mark leno is right behind at 104-935.that less than one percent difference.with breed at 50.38 percentwith breed at difference.with breed at 50.38 percentand leno at 49.52.the director of san francisco's department of elections says he's never seen a race this tight in this 16 years he's worked in city hall. sot standup they'll continue to

california lawmakers are calling for action after video of an oakland bar-b-que went viral.... they are looking to address racial bias in police calls. the video shows a white woman calling police on a group of black men bar-b-q-ing at lake merritt last month.now state senators ricardo lara and holly mitchell - both from southern california -- have sent a letter to the state attorney general and the state justice department.the senators are asking law enforcement officials look into how to better identify potential racial bias in police calls... and how police should respond in those situations. (grant) people are stepping up to help a homeless man in oakland who had his belongings thrown into lake merritt. a jogger passing by tossed the items into the water. that man... now nicknamed "jogger joe" decided the homeless man needed to go after sleeping in the same spot for over a year. now some people in the community are banding together to help the homeless man who they believe was unfairly targeted. people are now taking shifts to ensure the man is safe. a go fund me page has also been set up to help protect the homeless man. if you want to help, we have a link on our website at kron-4 dot com. (grant) in the east bay.... a woman was killed this morning when a large tree fell onto interstate 680 in danville. police say the victim was traveling on north 680 when a 50 to 60 foot tree fell onto the roadway. police are still investigating whether the tree fell directly on her car or in front of her. officials have identified the woman as 58-year-old

deported until at least july twentieth because of an emergency stay. polo sandoval reports. pkg:polo sandoval/ reporting: pablo villavicencio, the 35 year old new york area pizza delivery man who was detained by ice officers earlier this month and remains in custody. he went to a brooklyn area army base to make his delivery. because he had no department of defense identification, he was subjected to an on site background check in order to gain access to the base. while the system showed that he had an active warrant for his deportation. ice was called at the time by military police officers and villavicencio was detained and he was also nearly deported just a few days ago when his lawyers filed that emergency stay. we are told by his family that villavicencio had actually filed for a green card back in february and was currently waiting to hear a response from the government when he was detained. the legal team for this gentleman telling me that he does not have a criminal record and also that that 2010 voluntary deportation order did not come as a result of any sort of law enforcement encounter in fact it was more of an administrative process that was playing out in immigration courts and also important to point out that according to his legal team this was not the first time that he had made a delivery at that base. we'll find out in about a

last year, more than 518 thousand people road bart on the day of last year's warriors parade in oakland. the transit agency says that's the 5th highest rider ship day in their history and they are expecting a big turnout on tuesday as well.tuesday's warriors parade begins at broadway and 11th street in downtown oakland at 11am. from there the players, riding busses, will go north and then turn right onto 20th street. then they turn right again onto harrisson then left onto 19th street. the parade then merges onto lakeside drive and ends at lakeside and 13th street.because parking will be tight downtown durg the parade and there will be numerous road closures through out the day, officials are encouraging people to take public transit. but, bart is warning riders to pack their patience. they say the heaviest ridership times will be from 9am -untill the parade starts and then from noon to 2pm after the parade.in order to reach the parade route as quickly as possible bart is encouraging people to use the 19th street and 12th street stations in downtown oakland. unlike last year, there will not be a lake merrit rally after the parade so there's no need to gather at the lake merrit bart station.bart also plans on running as many

when you think of film critics... the late roger ebert and gene siskel may come to mind. but since they have both passed, who exactly is it that is watching and reviewing films these days? well, it may or may not surprise you... most movie critics are white men-- that's according to a new study by university of southern california's annenberg school for communication and journalism. they only looked at critics who are currently employed by professional prt, broadcast or online publications. the school says, white critics wrote 82-percent of the reviews of the top 100- grossing films of 2017-- and 78-percent of the critics were men.
