about a big cat... and wether it was prowling around a bay area middle school.. kron 4's dan kerman is live in san bruno tonight with details on a possible mountain lion sighting. dan? parkside middle school may be home of the panters but it was unconfirmed reports of a mountain lion that was creating a buzz in san bruno monday.sot doris krieg/san bruno residenton its facebook page san bruno police said they got a call from someone about noon, who spoke to someone else about 10:30 am who said they saw the big cat roaming around parkside middle school. that created a buzz on the next door ap.... now this is a mostly residential neighborhood, filled with people walking their dogs... police went out ot investigate and saw nothing, they also contacted fish and game. residents seem to be taking it in stride.sot jeri randall/san bruno resident (with percy)

(catherine) evacuations were lifted this afternoon in san francisco after a gas leak was reported. crews working in the area of filbert and van ness hit a gas main around nine-30 this morning. that led to evacuations and a shelter in place warning.. p-g-and-e crews were able to stop the gas leak in about an hour. the evacuation order was lifted shortly afterwards.. no injuries were reported. (vicki) in the north bay.. the santa rosa fire department is investigating several suspicious brush fires. over the weekend, firefighters went to the area of hearn avenue and the railroad tracks for a number of calls for brush fires. crews found three fires. and that's not all, a short time later, more calls about fires breaking out in another location. kron 4's terisa estacio has the story. terisa estacio, reporting, santa rosa. i am in this neighborhood off of dutton in santa rosa, and right over there,is the santa rosa creek trail at dutton avee. sgt.

take a look at this.... a dead great white shark washed ashore an aptos beach yesterday morning. the shark was found around seven in the morning near seascape beach resort. a marine biologist says the 500-pound great white measured eight feet -- nine inches long and was about five years old. the shark had numerous puncture wounds and scars consistent with hunting sea lions. the carcass was transported to a santa cruz research lab where a necropsy will be performed early next week. hollywood. actress mary mccormack shared this video on twitter after her husband's car caught in fire-- shooting flames near the front wheels. she says there was no accident and the incident was out of the blue. tesla says this was an unusual occurrence and they are investigating. the n-t-s-b says it hopes to learn about fires in all battery powered cars during this investigation. tonight... disney is issuing a warning to viewers of pixar's new "incredibles two" movie. they say it could cause seizures. it involves a scene with a villain named "screen-slaver" that features a series of bright flashing lights. the warning comes after some people posted concerns on social media that moviegoers with a type of epilepsy could be at risk. the epilepsy foundation says for about three-percent of patients, in some situations flashing lights can trigger a seizure. it's called photosensitive epilepsy and is more common in kids and teens. (vicki) a day at the park turns violent... after a fight between children leads to brawl between adults in brentwood. it happened in veteran's park on saturday. police say a child was hurt by another kid while playing. two families confronted each other... and the argument quickly turned violent. about 50 people were involved in the brawl. 4 people were arrested... including one man who was tased by police. (catherine) in the north bay.... petaluma police released these photos of a car that crashed into a mattress store yesterday morning. police say the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal, causing the car to crash into the mancini's sleepworld store on south mcdowell boulevard. no one was hurt. the windows have since been boarded up and the store is open for business. (catherine) petaluma police arrested a man over the weekend accused ofattacking another man with a golf club - and stealing his bike. it

happened near the lynch creek trail at a park saturday night. police say lee bussell knocked the victim off his bike - and began hitting him with his own golf club....and then took off with the bike. bussell now faces robbery and assault with a deadly weapon charges. the victim suffered a fractured bone. parents over a 6 week period... joining us now to talk about the issue -- professor bill hing. the director of the immigration and deportation defense clinic at u-s-f... politicians and advocates are flocking to the u.s.-mexico border to visit immigration detention centers and turn up the pressure on the trump administration amid a growing uproar over its policy of separating immigrant children from their parentsnearly 2,000 children were taken from their parents over a six-week period in april and may after attorney general jeff sessions announced a "zero tolerance" policy when it comes to prosecuting those arrested for illegally entering the u.s.

happening now... police in san francisco are searching for the person who they say viciously attacked a mother with a hammer. and it happened while she was carrying her baby. kron 4's hermela aregawi has the story. a warning.. this video may be graphic to some..a mother cries out...after a suspect attacks her.. hitting her in the head with what doctors believe is something like a hammer.moments later.. you hear her six month old baby crying jessica farb/victim's friendat least two pieces entered her brain, they were able to remove one and then the other one they tried to remove but there was too much bleeding so that's going to be in her brain for life. and then they repaird her skull with a metal plate.jessica farb is a long time friend of the victim.. who is still recovering.this is her on june third crossing sanchez street...shortly after you see what may be the suspect walking in her direction. and then the scream.. the 37 year old mom was in the hospital for a week.. and has another month to go before she can return to work.on the night of the attack.. around 6 oclock in the evening.. she had just left farb's house and was walking to hers. jessica farb/victim's friendwe were hanging out the two of us and our two babies were here who

(ken) in the north bay.. the santa rosa police and fire departments are investigating at least 13 suspicious fires set over the weekend. firefighters were first called out to the area of hearn avenue and the railroad tracks for several calls for brush fires. crews found three separate fires. then a short time later, they found several more fires near by. as kron 4's terisa estacio reports, these fires are very unsettling for residents still recovering from those devastation wildfires in the fall. thank god for our first responders. todd wenderoth

(pam) new at six tonight -- officers have arrested a man, who is allegedly seen twice on surveillance video, violently kicking a homeless person. we want to warn you... this video is graphic. it happened near san francisco's tenderloin neighborhood. police say, the same suspect attacked two separate victims in san francisco. the first alleged attack happened on may 24th... on leavenworth street. the homeless man, was lying down on the sidewalk when the suspect approached him and, without warning, began kicking him in the face. in the other attack, the same suspect allegedly approached another man while on a san francisco municipal railway. police arrested 58-year-old samuel youmtoub (yoom-tub) of san francisco .. on suspicion of aggravated assault.

reports .... among the proposals, is a drastic change to the way drugs are marketed. if you watch much tv you're likely used to drug company commercials. and the blunt warnings about possible side effects. but some in congressing say important information is missing. "we dont know what anything costs and as a result costs go through the roof." that's why tennessee senator lamar alexander supports a proposal from the food and drug administration to force drug companies to include the price in their advertising. "and you think about that before you go to your doctor and say you want some of that." that once lived on michael jackson's neverland ranch .... made a not-so smooth criminal escape.(ken) ali the elephant got out of his enclosure at a florida zoo on sunday.' the zoo says employees undergo daily training sessions with animals to ensure these cases can be handled quickly. the elephant was able to be brought back to his pen with only verbal commands and hay. there was never any danger to the public. zoo officials said the incident was a result of human error. ali came to the zoo in 19-97 from jackson's neverland ranch. he is estimated to be 28- years old and is an extremely good- natured bull elephant.
