(grant) and santa rosa police are looking for a suspect who attacked and assaulted a woman in a parking lot. kron 4's sara stinson spoke with investigators. reporter intro: "santa rosa police say they need the publics help identifying the man they call a sexual violent predator after they say he assaulted a woman in a parking lot in an apartment complex near jennings avenue and range avenue.")("this is a high priority for the santa rosa police department. what we're looking for is any witnesses or anyone who heard anything on sunday night at 10:48 in the evening.")the victim says she was walking to her car when an unknown suspect ran up to her and assaulted her. she was calling and screaming for help and that's when the suspect fled on foot.she called police immediately and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.("detectives combed the area and were able to locate some surveillance footage and in that footage we were able to identify the suspect.")he is described as a hispanic man about 25 to 35 years old about 180 pound, five feet 10 inches tall with brown or black hair.("this is an unusual crime to happen here in santa rosa and we're putting all our investigators on this case. we're asking anyone with information to

(grant) david and louise turpin have pleaded not guilty to more than 40 charges - including torture and false imprisonment. the siblings held captive in the house... include six minors and seven adults. the case came to light in january, when a 17-year-old escaped from a window...using her brother's phone to call 9-1-1. she says her brothers and sisters were chained up and beaten. prosecutors also say the children lived in filthy conditions and starved, while the couple's dogs were kept clean and well-fed. (vicki) starting in the east bay... police are looking for a suspect who brutally attacked a man with a tire iron in a possible hate crime. scott long was hit in the head with a tire iron as he walked home in the laurel neighborhood of oakland. his jaw was so badly broken that he had to have surgery and lost several teeth. long is a gay rights activist who has worked all around the world. he doesn't know why he was attacked. long's attacker is still on the loose tonight.

(vicki) a man is killed and three children are injured after a crash in concord. it happened last night on concord boulevard... near the library and police department. when officers got to the scene... the driver in one of the cars had died. a 32-year-old woman driving the other car was injured. she was driving with two 8-year-olds and a 10-month-old baby-- who were also injured. they are expected to be okay. (grant) in the south bay... investigators are trying to figure out what happened after a person was found dead on the side of a freeway in san jose. the body was discovered on the right-hand shoulder of northbound 101... just north of story road. it was found at around 1:00 this morning. officials have not released how the person died. (vicki) in the north bay. novato police have found property taken during recent thefts in the city...during a probation search at a residence. the property...which includes jewelry...power tools...clothin g...and electronic devices...was found june 13th at a home on laguna vista drive. police are asking
