justice anthony kennedy is planning to retire from the nation's highest court effective july 31st. he told his colleagues he personally delivered the retirement letter to president trump at the white house. trump said he holds kennedy in high esteem. the president said the search for a replacement will begin immediately -- and he'll pick from the list of possible justices he released during his campaign. senate

majority leader mitch mcconnell said the senate will vote to confirm kennedy's successor in the fall. at a roseville water park will ánot be charged. officers were called to the park memorial day weekend.... after a group of girls told security that the men had groped them. prosecutors say they don't have enough evidence to file charges. ( darya ) in the east bay... a former dance teacher in martinez is now sitting in jail... on sexual assault charges. daniel howarter is accused of abusing a student back in 2012. the student was 15 at the time... she came forward earlier this year. howarter was a dance instructor at in motion dance center. ( darya ) police in san francisco arrest a man for a violent home invasion robbery in the city'south beach neighborhood. the robbery happened on the 200 block of king street on saturday. police say kem leblanc beat and choked the 65-year-old woman who lived in the home. the woman was treated and released from teh hospital. police found le blanc at a bus stop on 5th and howard streets 24

hours after the attack. he is facing several include elder abuse. ( darya ) 7 men accused of touching several young girls at a roseville water park will ánot be charged. officers were called to the park memorial day weekend.... after a group of girls told security that the men had groped them.

pets with their owners. by downloading the finding rover app ... users can upload a picture of their missing pet and then the system compares that image to pictures of animals being kept at nearby shelters. it then generates a list of possible matches. the app could prove useful ... as this time of year it's not uncommon for dogs and cats to be scared off by fireworks. < so if it becomes lost and somebody reports it as found, it would be flagged in the system ... find what shelter they are in.>( james )( james ) while animal services says the app is not a replacement for the traditional ways of tracking lost pets ... such as name tags and microchips. ( darya ) a sacramento mother is suing police and the sheriff's department... after she says her son was fatally shot for no reason. mikel mcintyre's family says they waited 14 months for information on why the 32-year old father was shot. police got calls about mcintyre choking a woman in a car.. that woman turned out to be his mother... who denies she was choked. the sheriff's department says mcintyre fought with police... hitting an officer in the head with a rock and also injuring a police dog. cell phone video shows him running from deputies just before he was shot. mcintyre's mother says her son may have been having a mental health episode at the time. there is a number of producers that simply haven't tested their products others have chosen to test those products but those testing requirements have increased and as they increase everyone is sending their source materials off to what is known as a level to screening for state testing that's what all the producers are scrambling to do nowbut some products on dispensary shelves are being discounted because their packaging won't meet new child resistant and tamper resistant standards going in affect the same day. like this jar of pot right here....which has a plastic seal.....but isn't considered child resistant. here's another example of what state regulators are looking for. you might have to press down and turn it like you would a pill bottle the store staff say business has been brisk as a result.the more people that figure out there are sales going on they been coming in and flooding the store as well as onlineshoppers i spoke to were happy about the temporarily cheaper pot prices......but at least one, who didn't want to appear on camera was happier at the idea of t stricter pot screening.that's important i
