toll to 101. ( robin ) breaking news we are following this morning... a 5th boy has been rescued from that cave in thailand where a soccer team and their coach have been trapped for more than two weeks. four of those boys were rescued over the weekend. 7 boys

and their coach remain trapped this morning. andrew spencer has the details on the rescue operation. rescuers dove back into the cave monday, trying to get as many people out as they can -- before the rain starts really coming down.narongsak osottanakorn, governor of chiang rai province: "we have two obstacles: water and time." the weather took a turn for the worse on sunday. concerned about the rain, the low oxygen levels inside the cave, and the health of those trapped inside, rescuers sprang into action.divers were able to get four boys out of the cave on sunday and have them taken to the hospital. officials described their conditions as "not that bad."rain flooded the cave and trapped these boysjune 23. but after divers found the boys last monday, the weather seemed to be cooperating; there was no measurable rainfall in this area of northern thailand for almost a week.that changed on sunday, when it started raining again -- forecasters expect it to keep raining all

week -- with especially-heavy downpours on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. narongsak osottanakorn, governor of chiang rai province: "this is what we have been racing against since day one. we have to do all we can, even though it is hard to fight the force of nature."i'm andrew spencer, reporting ( robin ) another big story we are following... all lanes of 580 in livermore are open this morning after they were shutdown because of a wildfire. the grant fire has burned about 600 acres and at last update was 40% contained. kron 4 viewers sent us video. you can see the smoke billowing in the sky. the fire started yesterday afternoon and all lanes of 580 were shutdown around 6:30. the interstate was not completely reopened until just after midnight. bay... the city of sausalito is considering steps to prevent future wildfires. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the details. taking from the devastating lessons of the north bay firestorm the southern marin fire prevention district along with the city put on this recent survey to learn whether sausalito residents are genuinely concerned about preparing for a wildfire and whether they care to invest in prevention efforts.vosurvey results show 73% of voters back the idea of an ordinance related to the issue. the survey noted fire prevention methods would include engineering, enforcement and education strategies. some ideas included chipper days to dispose of brush cleared from residential properties... and public emergency notices were ranked as highly important. important.highly ranked as highly ranked as highly important.

( robin ) that was ella somonian reporting for us this morning... in yolo and napa counties -- firefighters continue to make progess battling the county fire. firefighters say steep and inaccessible terrain has created difficulty along the northern portion of the fire. it has now burned more than 90-thousand acres... but it is 65 percent contained. the cause of the fire is still under ( robin ) in the south bay... two people are dead after a car slams into a... v-t-a lightrail in san jose.

according to v-t-a employees... the driver and passenger in the car died.. a business nearby caught it all on surveillance video. the light rail train was traveling north at lincoln and auzerais yesterday afternoon. you see the car careening across the tracks < it was kind of really scary because it took a little while to realize what was going on even after everything happened. and there was a lot of people here. we just opened.">( robin ) v-t-a will continue a bus bridge operation today while repairs are made to the light rail track. ( robin ) palo alto police have released a sketch of a burglar...they say shoved a woman... after she caught him inside her house. this is the sketch of the man. the incident happened at a home on curtner avenue. a woman in her 40's returned home and found her front door unlocked. once inside...

she spotted a man rummaging through her things. the man looked surprised to see her... and police say he then pushed her into a wall and ran away. the woman suffered minor injuries. the thief got away with jewelry and money. ( robin ) in sonoma county -- a hiker had to be rescued from a trail. it happened in a remote portion of the jack london state park near highway 12. a c-h-p helicopter was brought in to rescue the hiker who was suffering from a medical emergency. officials had to call the hiker on a satellite phone to locate them along the sonoma ridge trail. the hiker was treated and taken to a hospital. the hiker is expected to make a full recovery. ( robin ) deputies in sonoma county arrest a parolee after they say he attacked a coffee shop employee. investigators say sean seeman attakced a barista at the roasters coffee shop in forestville. the say he backed the woman into a corner while holding a sharp piece of scrap metal to her neck. that is when a good samaritan

stepped in and wrestled seeman to the ground and held him down until deputies arrived. ( robin ) last year's north bay wildfires are still impacting the community. the number of homeless in sonoma county has gone up in the past year and the fires are partly to blame. officials say there was a 6 percent increase in the february 2018 homeless count compared to the 2017 count. housing displacement in the wake of the fires contributed to the increase of overall homelessness, especially in the city of santa rosa. the homeless count found that more than 21-thousand sonoma county residents were living in unstable housing situations. ( robin ) happening today... oakland has seen its share of arsons and now the city is setting up a hotline and reward fund to catch the people responsible. it was just last year that a huge fire destroyed an apartment complex that was under construction. the arsonist in that fire and other east bay fires has not

been caught. officials say they hope this new hotline and reward money will encourage people to come forward with information. ( robin ) 4 your money this morning -- a new study shows san francisco has the highest rent in the áworldá. kron 4's sara stinson spoke to residents and real estate agents to see how accurate this study is. the study created by the study the study created by walletwyse uses data from a website called numbeo that ranks the average rent in 540 cities worldwide.it found the average rent in san francisco is 35-hundred dollars.("nats

and it has a remodeled kitchen.")joanne fazzino is a bay area real estate agent - she says the studies findings are pretty accurate. ("although prices have started to come down a little bit, it still could be the most expensive city to live in the world.")but she says rent prices has been on the decline in 2018. ("rooms that used to be 35-hundred are now about 32- hundred which is still high for that and it could be more depending on the views and amenities.")the study also found hamilton bermuda to be the second most expensive and manhattan as number three. san jose came in fourth with rent at an average of 25-hundred. while oakland came in fifth tied with hong kong at 24-50. reporting this morning. the cheapest rent is in the u-s is springfield, missouri. ( robin ) in the east bay... one person is dead and 3 others injured after 3 shootings in less than 4 hours. the first shooting happened around 10:00 saturday night. this is a picture from that scene. it happened in the area of 102nd avenue and international boulevard. one person died and another was injured in this shooitng. then about three hours later... another person was shot at the intersection of 98th avenue and c street. here is a picture from that scene. police say that victim is in grave condition. and then another shooting happened about 30 minutes later. one person was injured on the 14-hundred block of 89th avenue. there is no word on that person's condition. no one has been arrested. police have'nt said if the shootings are connected. ( robin ) also in the east bay... 8 people are without a home in antioch after a fire

broke out in their garage. this is video tweeted out by contra costa county fire. you can see firefighters mopping up. it broke out yesterday evening. nobody was injured. ( robin ) another big story we are following this morning... a 2-year-old died after being trapped in a hot car in sacramento. the sacramento county sheriff's department says the boy was found inside the family's car saturday with the windows up... the car was parked across the street from where he lived. investigators say the toddler may have gotten out of the house and into the car by himself. police say this tragedy should serve as a warning to all parents.

average, 37 kids die every year after being trapped in a hot car. ( robin ) in the north bay... police are looking for the person who placed a pipe bomb on monte rio beach in sonoma county over the weekend. the bomb was found underneath the monte rio bridge at the beach along the bohemian highway. the deputies closed the bridge and evacuated the surrounding area. the bomb squad came and deactivated the bomb and the beach was reopened. ( robin ) in the south bay... police in san jose arrested a man who they say sexually assaulted a 16- year-old boy. police say 34-year-old tung vo lured the victim into his van on cunnigham avenue. and then

assaulted him. the teenager was able to escape and go for help. vo is a registered sex offender. he is now facing charges of assault and kidnapping. ( robin ) a mountain lion was spotted at foothills regional park in windsor. windsor deputies say multiple people reported seeing the animal just south of the lower pond on the three lakes trail. if you happen to see a mountain lion... animal experts say you should avoid a confrontation and wait for them to escape. ( robin ) take a look at this otter pup. sausalito's marine mammal center needs your help naming its newest patient. the otter was found orphaned and starving in monterey back in february. she'd been exposed to a biotoxin that can damage the heart and brain. after 4 months of rehabilitation at the monterey bay aquarium... she was healthy enough to move to sausalito. now... she has two otter roommate... who are also recovering at the center. head to our website --

looking for the driver of this car that hit a bicyclist. surveillance video captured this photo of the suspect's car wanted in the hit-and-run. it happened near downer avenue and 23rd street. police found the victim in the middle of the street suffering from severe injuries. he was taken to the hospital where he remains in grave condition this morning. witnesses are describing the car as a dark colored... early 2000's ford crown victoria. ( robin ) san pablo police have arrested multiple people on weapons charges. these are a couple of the guns they found while conducting a traffic stop. the driver of the car was on probation for firearms possession and one of the passengers had a loaded gun. police arrested everyone in the car. that includes two underage passengers who were taken to juvenile hall. ( robin ) immigrants detained by i-c-e have the support of the inter-faith

community in richmond. at the west contra costa county jail, immigration advocates called for the release of non- violent people held without bail. kron four's philippe djegal spoke with a russian mother pleading for the release of her husband. (philippe) every first saturday of the month.... several hundred people with the interfaith movement for human integrity... meet out front of the west county detention facility in richmond... sharing prayers for immigrants held without bail for months on end. this saturday was no different. the focus of this vigil was family separation... and, anna tutckaia's (toot-sky-uh) husband alexey.anna tutckaia/wife- "deporting alexey would not only mean a danger to his life, but also a huge trauma for our kids." anna says alexey has been held

here for 10-months. he was taken into custody by federal agents while applying for asylum. he and his family defected from russia to the united states, fearing retaliation from the russian government... after his business partner spoke out about political corruption in his home country.mother anna lange-soto- "and, then, the partner's having spoken about it, implicated alexey. not because he had done anything, but because he was a partner there." anna has yet to tell her two young children where their father really is. she told them he's on a long business trip, but as time goes on, that story isn't holding up.anna tutckaia/wife- "he would be the one who would bring them to school, and get them out of school and bring to all the activities. read with them. i mean, he was like a mom to them, because i was super busy studying and working." now she's unclear if she'll ever see her husband again here in america... because being deported is a very real possibility. in richmond, philippe djegal, kron four news, ( robin ) happening today...harvey weinstein is scheduled to be arraigned on more charges.the disgraced movie mogul is accused of sexual assault.these allegations are in addition to

( darya ) ( darya ) a big story we are following this morning... a 2-year-old died after being trapped in a hot car in sacramento. the sacramento county sheriff's department says the boy was found inside the family's car saturday with the windows up. the car was parked across the street from where he lived. investigators say the toddler may have gotten out of the house and into the car by himself. police say this tragedy should serve as a warning to all parents.

this morning... all lanes of 580 in livermore are open this morning after they were shutdown because of a wildfire. the grant fire has burned about 600 acres and at last update was 40% contained. kron 4 viewers sent us video. you can see the smoke billowing in the sky. the fire started yesterday afternoon and all lanes of 580 were shutdown around 6:30. the interstate was not completely reopened until just after midnight.

( darya ) last year's north bay wildfires are still impacting the community. the number of homeless in sonoma county has gone up in the past year and the fires are partly to blame. officials say there was a 6 percent increase in the february 2018 homeless count compared to the 2017 count. housing displacement in the wake of the fires contributed to the increase of overall homelessness, especially in the city of santa rosa. the homeless count found that more than 21-thousand sonoma county residents were living in unstable housing situations. ( terisa ) happening today... the brentwood man accused of killing his own mother will be in court for his arraignment. police arrested mattew redmond tuesday. their investigation into redmond started with calls of a possible home burglary and cars being broke in to. after detaining redmond... police then did a welfare check on his mother. they found her dead on the bathroom floor of her home. bay... two people are dead after a car slams into a v-t-a lightrail in san jose. v-t-a employees say the driver and passenger in the car died. a business nearby caught it all on surveillance video. the light rail train was traveling north at lincoln and auzerais yesterday afternoon. you see the car careening across the tracks. offcials say repairs have been made to the light rail track. ( darya ) fremont and pleasanton police are working together to identify a man they believe is looking into homes and exposing himself. police say he may be involved in five different cases. the latest happened on thursday night on whispering oaks way in pleasanton. the homeowner captured this naked man on a security camera. fremont police have also connected this suspect to four similar incidents. the key piece of evidence is the man's distinct tattoo which clearly shows a feather hanging from a

( darya ) deputies in sonoma county arrest a parolee after they say he attacked a coffee shop employee. investigators say sean seeman attakced a barista at the roasters coffee shop in forestville. they say he backed the woman into a corner while holding a sharp piece of scrap metal to her neck. that is when a good samaritan stepped in and wrestled seeman to the ground and held him down until deputies arrived. ( terisa ) happening today... oakland has seen its share of arsons and now the city is setting up a hotline and reward fund to catch the people responsible.

( terisa ) in yolo and napa counties -- the more than 90-thousand acre county fire is now 65-percent contained. firefighters say the northern portion of the fire is giving them the most trouble... because of steep and inaccessible terrain. this fire has destroyed 16 buildings. the cause is still under investigation. a local store owner in san francisco is helping people impacted by the yolo county wildfire... by collecting donations outside her shop. kron4's michelle kingston has the story. a 2-year-old died after being trapped in a hot car in sacramento. the sacramento county sheriff's department says the boy was found inside the family's car saturday with the windows up. the car was parked across the street from where he lived. investigators say the toddler may have gotten out of the house and into the car by himself. police say this tragedy should serve as a warning to all parents.

-- a hiker had to be rescued from a trail. it happened in a remote portion of the jack london state park near highway 12. a c-h-p helicopter was brought in to rescue the hiker who was suffering from a medical emergency. officials had to call the hiker on a satellite phone to locate them along the sonoma ridge trail. the hiker was treated and taken to a hospital. the hiker is expected to make a full recovery. ( terisa ) a mountain lion was spotted at foothills regional park in windsor. windsor deputies say multiple people reported seeing the animal just south of the lower pond on the three lakes trail. if you happen to see a mountain lion... animal experts say you should avoid a confrontation and wait for them to escape.
