protest say the new development will lead to increases in evictions, homelessness and displacement. they are asking google to negotiate an agreement with the community to protect residents from the impacts of tech gentrification when the tech giant comes to san jose. some of the demands include: -allocating 25% of units in any residential developments for the lowest-income residents.-supporting legal defense for tenants facing eviction.-giving local residents first consideration for jobs.reporting live in san jose, lydia pantazes kron 4 news. is being held responsible for the accidental shooting death of a toddler in fresno. investigators say the 2-year-old shot himself in the head saturday...but 9-1-1 wasn't called immediately. corin hoggard reports. jace alexander started this last saturday like a lot of others.his dad went to work. his father's fiancee fixed his breakfast, fed him, and set the 2-year-old in front of the t-v to watch cartoons.but she left the room for half an hour to play video games and talk to their roommate, oscar ramos. chief jerry dyer/fresno police "and during that time she thought jace was in the living room watching cartoons when both her and oscar heard a loud pop come from the other side of the house."they found jace bleeding in his bedroom, with a handgun lying next to

him.the fiancee couldn't get her phone to work, so she asked ramos to call 911.chief jerry dyer/fresno police "and for whatever reason, he did not. he paced around the house for 5-10 minutes. she finally grabbed his phone and called 911 and that's when we were first notified."police say paramedics probably couldn't have saved jace's life anyway, but the delay was concerning.the boy's dad told investigators he'd found ramos' gun lying around the house before and asked him to keep it in his safe and away from his three kids who lived in the house part-time.police say ramos took full responsibility for the boy's death, admitting he'd left the gun out and couldn't even remember where.chief jerry dyer/fresno police "he thought maybe he had placed the gun on the entertainment center in the living room area, but could not be certain." (pam) beachgoers on california's central coast came across a 29-foot whale carcass... while enjoying the surf and sun over the weekend. scientists do not always know why whales beach themselves, but they think this one died at sea... and then washed ashore. and while it is a rarity to find a dead humpback on the beach... it was definitely a source of curiosity for beachgoers after it washed ashore this

weekend. "it's something you don't see all the time even when you come down here" "it's sad to see any animal die but it's just the cycle of life."
