injured in a shooting there last night. that shooting happened on westbound i-80 between pinole valley road and apian way. i-80 was shutdown for about 2 hours last night. we also have video from the scene. the victim was taken to the hospital but there is no word on their condition this morning. police are still looking for the shooter. but again... i-80 is reopened to traffic in pinole this morning. bay... police involved in a shooting in san rafael... it happened just after 9:00 last night. a police officer saw a man standing in the middle of verdi street waving two knives in the air. officers approached the man and started talking to him. after about 30 minutes... the man made his way towards belveder street. then he made contact with a san rafael police officer and an officer from another agency. the officer from the other agency tried to use non-lethal force to subdue the man but that did not work. the man then approached the san rafael police officer... and that is when the officer opened fire. the man was shot and taken to the hospital with life- threatening injures. ( robin ) happening now... the mendocino complex fire is burning out of control... it is now the 4th largest wildfrie in california's history. the mendocino complex fire is made up of two fires... the ranch fire and the river fire. those fires have now combined to burn more than 266-thousand acres. they are just 33%

complex fires combined has destroyed 68 structures and damaged 12 homesthe river and ranch fires have been burning for more than a week now..due to unpredictable weatherbut saturday afternoon brought lower humidity and higher winds causing the fires to spreadthe river fire pushing towards cow mountain and scotts valley road in lakeport.. the ranch fire heading south east firefighters will continue to fight the blaze on the frontline and be staged in communities to keep everyone safe.. indefinitely as the ferguson fire keeps growing. the main problem - smoke from the fire...which is causing unhealthy air conditions. the ferguson fire has burned more than 89-thousand acres and it's just 38-percent contained. ( robin ) and the death toll from teh carr fire burning in shasta county is now at 7. a pg&e uitility worker was killed on saturday. the fire has burned over 160-thousand acres and destroyed more than one thousand homes. it is just 43-percent contained. thousands of people have been evacuated and mo than a thousand homes are still being threatened. ( robin ) happening now... police are searching for the man who stabbed two people on a bart train friday night. it happened at the macarthur station. the suspect is identified as 27-year-old solomon espinosa. police say he is a homeless man who stays in oakland. one of the victims was stabbed in the face... the other was stabbed in the arm. both victims have been released from the hospital. a box cutter was found at the scene. bart

police say that 15 to 25 officers will be working overtime to patrol trains and platforms. ( robin ) a homeless man arrested in pittsburg, will be charged with arson. fire officials say he started a brush fire, that spread to a pallet yard on harbor street. kron four's philippe djegal reports downed power lines

slowed the fire fight. (philippe) fire fighters mop up what's left of atlas pallet. stacks of pallets, a few outbuildings, and three-and-a-half acres of grass and dry brush all burned. nats- the pittsburg police department filmed the flames shortly after the fire started just after ten o'lock in the morning. contra costa county fire protection district fire marshall, robert marshall says his crews with mutual aid had the fire under control just before noon. robert marshall/fire marshall- "unfortunately, the buildings in the pallet yard were completely consumed, uh, mostly because we had some power lines that dropped, which made access to the site very difficult and unsafe." once p-g-and-e was able to turn the power off... fire crews could better assess the situation. homes were nearby, but never threatened. robert marshall/fire marshall- "no evacuation orders. the wind is blowing away from the homes, and so, we got pretty lucky there. we didn't get any of the tress involved. there are a few trees onsite. uh some palm trees that we were concerned about for a time, but the trees didn't become

involved and so we didn't have a lot of embers from this fire." marshall says this pallet yard has gone up in flames multiple times in the past. this time, fire protection district investigators, in conjunction with the pittsburg police department... arrested a homeless man, who marshall says will b e charged with arson. marshall says the man set fire to some trash nearby, which spread to the vegetation and then the pallet yard.robert marshall/fire marshall- "don't have anything that's really flamable up against your home or your business. if you do that, you stand a much better chance of not having your home or business being involved in the fire." no injuries were reported. in pittsburg, philippe djegal, kron four news. ( robin ) another big story we are following this morning -- at least five people were killed after a plane registered to a san francisco company crashed near a shopping center. the plane took off from contra costa county and went down into the parking lot insanta ana.

( robin )( robin ) ( robin ) another big story we are following... a family of three are killed in a suspicious fire over the weekend. it happened early yesterday morning in vallejo near i-80 and georgia street. officers on patrol smelled smoke coming out of a

home. they saw an 11-year-old girl trying to flag down help. the police were able to pull out the girl's mother and her 15- year-old twin sisters. but it was too late. they died at the scene.

( robin ) in the east bay... people in antioch are upset with a cemetary after they say flowers, photos and other mementos that were placed on the graves of their loved were removed and thrown into a pile like trash. people who visit the cemetery tell kron 4 that they started to see fliers around the cemetary that said.. to remove items that weren't in the designated spaces. the fliers said.. they were getting in the way of maintaining the lawn. but some visitors say that people do stay within the designated spaces... so they are not sure

what the problem was. ( robin ) the cemetary is run by the archdiocese of oakland. we have reached out to them but have not heard back. ( robin ) police in vacaville are looking for two men who robbed a woman sitting next to them at a restaurant. the incident was caught on camera. the woman was talking to a friend and did not realize that the man stuck his hand in her bag and stole her wallet. police are asking anybody who might recognize these men to come forward. ( robin ) happening now in palo alto... police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting. police released this surveillance image of the man they are looking for. the shooting happened friday night

in the parking lot of the safeway store on middlefield road. officers say a man in a white lexus s-u-v with paper plates was shot at. there is no word if he was actually hit, but police are still looking for the shooter this ( robin ) this house is smaller than some studio apartments but will probably sell for a lot of money.. that's because the one-bedroom cottage is in the coveted silicon valley town of los gatos. kron4's maureen kelly shows us this latest example of the bay area's red hot housing market. call it an example of unreal estate.this teeny bungalow at 55 rogers street in los gatos is only 550 square feet...with one bedroom and one bath which from what i can see are both very small and very outdated. it's listed at nearly 860 thousand dollars but there are reports of a bidding war and it's speculated that sale price will be several hundreds of thousands dollars over asking. the real estate listing describes the home as having endless possibilities.....but it's

phyiscal structure is far from endless. i timed myself as i circled the home. according to my stopwatch only took 42 seconds to walk around the entire housethe house might be little but it's sitting on a 10-thousand square foot lot in a very sought after area. i spoke to a local economist who says in the real tate world a property like this one is referred to as a scraper meeting that as soon as this deal closes escrow it's more than likely but that the new owners will have a bulldozer come in and demolish this property so they can build a new one no matter what they end up paying for the old one that's 10,000 ft.2 in los gatos it's one of the most exclusive markets in the bay area so paying 1.4 for land if you're going to build a $3 million house it might make some senseit's a small sized example of a big issue here in the bay area....as the demand of a growing local economy with many high paid workers runs up against the short supply of homes for sale.... and the houses that people might normally sell they're gonna sit sit on it. we're

( darya ) police in vacaville are looking for two men who robbed a woman sitting next to them at a restaurant. this was caught on camera. the woman was talking to a friend and did not realize that the man stuck his hand in her bag and stole her wallet. police are asking anybody who might recognize these men to come forward. ( darya ) in palo alto.... police are looking for a shooter. police released this surveillance image of the man they are looking for. the shooting happened friday night in the parking lot of the safeway store on middlefield road. officers say a man in a white lexus s-u- v with paper plates had been shot at. there is no word on whether he was actually hit... but police are still looking for this man this morning. checking the bay bridge commute on wb 80. your drive
