people think when stanley roberts interviews someone its for the sole purpose of ambushing the person caught behaving badly... this morning we look at how he actually talks to people and how they respond to him. you didn't see that stop sign huh? you know you cross through so many of them on the way it's hard to know, hards to know i probably did go through it, it's hard to recall what are the rules for stop signs well, you're suppose to stop. when producing these segments, i actually like trying to get the drivers side of the story, some are happy to talk to me
4:41 am
like this guy driver who sat an intersection for quite a bit before making an illegal left hand turn at an intersection which recently had a fatal collision ((you didn't see it, you sat there for like)) three minutes ((laughter)) crazy/ i'm going to be on the news ((yea)) what channel ((people behaving badly channel 4)) because you sat there like forever and i'm thinking at some point you're going to see it .no i didn't and my gps said turn left yes gps doesn't see signs then he told me this ((second one in one month)) you got a ticket already, for what stop sign, ((where)) san mateo you're not going good this month two fifty and and this one another two fifty well if it makes him feel any better.. each ticket is 238 each.. oh and a point for each violationnow not everyone is tickled pink to talk to me and i get it, what want to
4:42 am
talk on camera right after being pulled over this driver piggybacked off another driver on truesdale in burlingame, and if you look carefully you will notice he already has hid blinker on you know that if the person in front of you stops you have to stop too now i usually walk up rolling so i get a honest response ((good morning, channel 4 how are you doing today)) you know schools back in session right so you know why there are out here)) ah yea i notice you had your'e blinker on to pull over before)) i saw you guys up there! well that that went well but wait for it i didn't consent to having any video tape, i don't actually need your consent . there there are the people who say no but keep talking to you like like this driver who rolled the stops sign what happened back there, i really don't want to do all this(( you don't want to talk to me yea what's this for im with channel 4 and they're doing a crackdown because schools starting, and one of the problems are people running stop signs and you ran the stop sign back there yea what happened yea i don't want to
4:43 am
do this you late for work i don't want to do this now for the record, if you happened to notice over the years if a person is driving a company vehicle is pulled over i typically won't interview the driver why, well it's simple, many companies forbid their employees from taking to the media, i'm really not here to get you fired, i here to educate ambiance that being said if you are driving a company vehicle covered in logo 's don't behaving badly behind the wheel, you never know who might have a camera in burlingame stanley roberts kron 4 news (robin) coming up after the break on the kron four morning news... new signs show that the bay area housing market could be cooling down.
