dead.. and another is in crticial condition... after a shooting near a north bay high school. it happened near fairfield's armijo high school... just before a friday night football game. both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. one of the victims, a 16-year-old male, died from his injuries... and the other... an 18-year-old male remains in critical condition this morning. police are describing what happened as a 'gun battle'. two people have been arrested. one of them ran to the high school's gym where 500 students and parents were locked down... and the other ran to a house just a few blocks from where the shooting happened... before they both arrested. big reveal. sutter health officials just unveiled this sign to the new mission bernal campus hospital - located on cesar chavez and valencia street.this hospital is replacing st. luke's hospital at the same location after it closed last october. the new seven floor - 120 bed hospital is apart of the the sutter health california pacific medical center or c-p- m-c.this mission bernal campus will serve acute care, clinical and administrative services.c-p-m-c is also building a 274 bed facility on geary and van ness.a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held this morning 8:30 and then hospital staff will begin carefully moving in patients to the new building. live in san francisco, sara stinson, kron 4 news.### (lydia) thanks sara. we will check

(lydia)california lawmakers held a hearing to talk about the fact that verizon slowed internet service to firefighters during the mendocino complex fire. during the informal hearing, verizon representatives admitted the move - called 'throttling' - was a 'mistake.' verizon executives have said, from now on - the company will lift all restrictons when dealing with first responders during disasters .... and provide full network yesterday... the city of san jose is joining santa clara county firefighters in a lawsuit against verizon. verizon is accused of cutting internet speeds because of pricing

restrictions. the santa clara county fire chief claims, when he asked verizon to restore full speed - verizon offered a data plan that was almost twice as expensive. (lydia)california utitlities could sell bonds and pass on the cost to their customers to help cover debt incurred when their equipment starts wildfires. that's under a new plan to help shield utilities from bankruptcy. the proposal would allow utilities to finance the debt...and pay it off using a surcharge on monthly statements. the plan still needs approval but republicans and democrats appear to be on board. p-g and-e expects to pay billions of dollars related to lawsuits after the north bay wildfires last fall. california law holds utilities almost entirely liable for damage sparked by their equipment... even when the utilities follow all safety rules. (lydia)happening now... the bay area red cross has deployed hundreds of people to hawaii... as hurricane lane pounds the islands with rain. 200 people are now ready to help out. more than 1 million people are already feeling the effects of hurricane lane. meanwhile... a local task force has been deployed to oahu to help out with the disaster response. the menlo park-based group sent 36 members of its team to hawaii. they took almost 40- thousand pounds of gear with them. (lydia)investigators in santa clara county are looking for three suspects who robbed and beat an elderly woman in her own home. the woman, who lives in los altos hills, is going to be ok but her attackers are still on the loose. kron 4's charles clifford has details. natswell, investigators are stunned that anyone would attack a woman in her 80's. the suspects have not yet been identified and authorities are hoping someone will come forward with information.around 11:30 on thursday morning, the santa clara county sheriff's department responded to a residence here in los altos hills on reports of a home invasion robbery.officers arriving on scene found an 83 year old woman saying at she had confronted three men who had broken into her home.sot during the course of the robbery she was assaulted. these three suspects were physical with her and she did suffer injuries.fortuatny, her

(lydia)investigators in santa clara county are looking for three suspects who robbed and beat an elderly woman in her own home. the woman, who lives in los altos hills, is going to be ok but her attackers are still on the loose. kron 4's charles clifford has details. natswell, investigators are stunned that anyone would attack a woman in her 80's. the suspects have not yet been identified and authorities are hoping someone will come forward with information.around 11:30 on thursday morning, the santa clara county sheriff's department responded to a residence here in los altos hills on reports of a home invasion robbery.officers arriving on scene found an 83 year old woman saying that she had confronted three men who had broken into her home.sot during the course of the robbery she was assaulted. these three suspects were physical with her and she did suffer injuries.fortuatny, her injuries are non life threatening. after attacking her, the suspects ransacked the house and stole several items. one of the suspects is described as a hispanic male in his 20's. the two other were men wearing masks. the sheriff's department has launched an investigation.sot our crime scene investigation unit responded to the scene. scoured for fingerprints and any kind of evidence left behind. we wil review surveillance footage from the area and and follow any leads we develop.investigators are also hoping that someone may have information about the suspects or possibly surveillance video.

clara county are looking for three suspects who robbed and beat an elderly woman in her own home. the woman, who lives in los altos hills, is going to be ok but her attackers are still on the loose. kron 4's charles clifford has details. natswell, investigators are stunned that anyone would attack a woman in her 80's. the suspects have not yet been identified and authorities are hoping someone will come forward with information.around 11:30 on thursday morning, the santa clara county sheriff's department responded to a residence here in los altos hills on reports of a home invasion robbery.officers arriving on scene found an 83 year old woman saying that she had confronted three men who had broken into her home.sot during the course of the robbery she was assaulted. these three suspects were physical with her and she did suffer injuries.fortuatny, her injuries are non life threatening. after attacking her, the suspects ransacked the house and stole several items. one of the suspects is described as a hispanic male in his 20's. the two other were men wearing masks. the sheriff's department has launched an investigation.sot our crime scene investigation
