overnight... at least one person has died following a shooting in east oakland. this is a picture of the scene. the shooting was reported just after 1:30 this morning on the 95-hundred block of 'e' street. oakland police are asking if you have any information.. to contact them. ( lydia ) new this morning.. an overnight fire in san pablo has displaced seven people. firefighters were called just before 8:30 last night to heather drive.. when they arrived.... the back of the home was fully engulfed. no one was injured. the cause of the fire is under investigation. (lydia) police are investigating a stabbing at the macarthur bart station. this was the scene last night around 9-30. bart police say a 40-year-old man was stabbed while on the train. that train was headed to the warm springs station in fremont. the victim suffered an injury to his thumb... and was taken to a nearby hospital. police have not identified a suspect or a motive. ( lydia ) happening today... the 42nd annual bridge-to-bridge race in san francisco. thousands of

runners and walkers will be making make their way through the heart of san francisco... all in support of the special olympics. there's also some traffic delays and road closures to be expected. kron 4's sara stinson is live with the details. sara? lydia - the bridge to bridge run is set to stary in one hour here at the ferry building market place. runners from all over from all over come out to experience what sports illustrated calls americas most beautiful run starting at the bay bridge and passing through the iconic fishermans warf and ghirdadelli square. there is a 5k and a 12k! 5k runners finish at marina green and 12k runners continue to crissy field where you'll make it right next to the golden gate bridge. after there will be food, drinks and music. and this event raises money for a good cause it benefits the special olympics of northern california. for those not running there will be some road and public transportation impacts. street closures include embarcadero between mission to laguna from 7:15 to 9:30. they will be opening each intersection as all runners are through. muni routes f market and wharves and 39 coit. we put more information on our website kron 4 dot com.live in sf sara

( lydia ) heatlh officals in contra costa county are still following a measles outbreak. health officials say the person who spead the disease did visit several places in the east bay while sick... including the john muir hospital emergency room in walnut creek... and the áchow restaurant in lafayette. that patient also traveled to santa monica and sedona arizona, august 6th through the 10th. health officials say that person is no longer contious. symptoms of measles include red-like rashes, coughing, and high fever. from our free ( lydia ) a bay area attorney who spent nearly a week inside a texas detention center says the u-s has a human rights crisis. shikha (she-kah) hamilton just returned from an ice facility that held mostly fathers and children. hamiliton was one of 16 people that volunteered to give leagal counsel to the detainees. she says many came with hope.. and then lost it within the walls of the detention

of exposing himself to three of his students. william colvert has been employed at the almaden school of music and art in san jose for the last 10 years. colvert is accused of exposing himelf to three young girls while giving private lessons at the victim's homes. police say the incidents happened over the course of the last year. all of the girls were 10- years-old or younger. ( lydia ) two suspects were arrested wednesday for a homicide and robbery that occurred at a vallejo hotel monday. 22-year-old devonte hicks and 31-year-old jessica mccraven were arrested and booked into the solano county jail on suspicion of murder and robber police found the victim in the hotel room on the 1400 block of enterprise street just before 10 monday night.. his identity has not been released. ( lydia ) u.s. representative duncan hunter and his wife margaret... have pleaded not guilty to charges that they illegally used his campaign account... for personal expenses. both appeared in federal court friday. they're are accused of spending more than 250-thousand dollars on things ranging from family trips to italy, and hawaii... and using the money to pay for golf outings and school tuition. a 47-page indictment was unsealed this week. congressman hunter blames his wife for the charges.

resident and his wife found a carcus of a cat that appeared to be half eaten last fall. he says he's lived there for 46 years, but didn't start seeing coyotes on his street until three or four years ago. in the past year he says he and his neighbors have reported up to two dozen coyote-related incidents. (lydia) police are investigating a stabbing at the macarthur bart station. this was the scene last night around 9-30. bart police say a 40-year-d man was stabbed while on the train. that train was headed to the warm springs station in fremont. the victim suffered an injury to his thumb... and was taken to a nearby hospital. police have not identified a suspect or a motive. tested positive for west nile virus. so far 13 groups of mosquitoes.. 8 dead birds and 13 chickens have tested positive for the virus. that's compared to last year when officials found the virus in just three groups of mosquitos and five dead birds. so far the virus has been found in nine areas of contra costa county.. oakley.. martinez.. holland tract.. discovery bay.... quimby island... brentwood.. bryon... antioch and concord. ( lydia ) heatlh officals in contra costa county are still following a measles outbreak. health officials say the person who spead the disease did visit several places in the east bay while sick... including the john muir hospital emergency room in walnut creek... and the áchow restaurant in lafayette. that patient also traveled to santa monica and sedona arizona, august 6th through the 10th. health officials say that person is no longer contagious. symptoms of measles include red-like rashes, coughing, and high fever.

( lydia ) in the south bay... a music teacher has been arrested and accused of exposing himself to three of his students. william colvert has been employed at the almaden school of music and art in san jose for the last 10 years. colvert is accused of exposing himelf to three young girls while giving private lessons at the victim's homes. police say the incidents happened over the course of the last year. all of the girls were 10- years-old or ( lydia ) two suspects were arrested wednesday for a homicide and robbery that occurred at a vallejo hotel monday. 22-year-old devonte hicks and 31-year-old jessica mccraven were arrested and booked into the solano county jail on suspicion of murder and robbery. police found the victim in the hotel room on the 1400 block of enterprise street just before 10 monday night.. his identity has not been released. ( lydia ) two suspects were arrested wednesday for a homicide and robbery that occurred at a vallejo hotel monday. 22-year-old devonte hicks and 31-year-old jessica mccraven were arrested and booked into the solano county jail on suspicion of murder and robbery. police found the victim in the hotel room on the 1400 block of enterprise street just before 10 monday night.. his
