( robin ) two people are dead and three others are injured after two separate shootings in oakland. this is a picture of the scene of the first shooting on the 95- hundred block of 'e' street. one person died in that shooitng and another was injured. then about 90 minutes later... another person was shot and killed near 11th avenue and international boulevard. one man died in that shooting and two others were injured. right now it is not clear if the shootings are related. the gunmen are still on the loose. ( robin ) the body of a 79-year-old man... was found in an alley in menlo park. the body was found yesterday morning in the alley of the 100 block of willow road. the man had a visible head wound. police say right now... there is no sign of foul play but they are still investigating.

( robin ) happening now... police are investigating a stabbing at the macarthur bart station. now police say they are looking for this man. they say he stabbed another man while on a fremont bound train the victim suffered an injury to his thumb... and was taken to a nearby hospital... and is expected to be okay. ( robin ) two teenage boys are under arrest after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash near a south bay high school. the car was reported stolen early sunday morning in santa clara. the 15-year-old driver lead police on a chase that ended near wilson high school. the driver lost control and drove through a chain link fence and crashed into a tree. the driver suffered a broken leg. the 16-year- old passneger was not injured. both are facing charges of grand theft auto and evading police. ( robin ) a fire in san pablo has displaced seven people. firefighters were called to heather drive.. when they arrived.... the back of the home was engulfed. no one was injured. the

cause of the fire is under investigation. ( robin ) a man is under arrest this morning after two people were stabbed outside a restaurant in the north bay. it happened at la-perla tapatio on santa rosa avenue in santa rosa. police say jose lopez-mendoza stabbed two security guards after he and his friends were kicked out for being intoxicated. both of the victims are expected to survive. lopez mendoza... was also taken to the hospital after he was found with large amounts of blood on his hands. he is being charged with attempted murder. ( robin ) investigators say say a tesla driver, who said he áthoughtá his car was in autopilot mode... crashed into the back of a firetruck in san jose. c-h-p says says the tesla rear-ended a fire engine that was stopped with its emergency lights turned on along highway 101 on saturday. 37-year-old michael tran told officers "i think i had auto-pilot on."

tran was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. it was unclear whether autopilot was activated. tesla says in a statement that it has not yet received any data from the car, but they are working to figure out what happened. ( robin ) in the east bay... police in berkeley are looking for this man after he was caught on camera breaking into cars. this happened ne the u-c berkeley campus. the man broke into two cars and then was seen looking into several others. he was last seen in this 1998 nissan pathfinder. ( robin ) another big story we are following... video of an arrest in vallejo has sparking controversy this morning. some witnesses believe police used excessive force when taking a 22 year old into custody friday night. vallejo police say they were responding to a 911 call of a teenage girl who said she was being held captive in the suspects car. kron 4's

hermela aregawi has the latest. hey don't beat him!a dramatic arrest caught on a cell phone cameravallejo police arresting a 22 year old man friday night..while on-lookers yell at officers to stop beating the suspect.elaine wallace/vallejothe guy is screaming. he's screaming for help and in so much pain. did you see that blood that was on his skull? that was horrific to watch.the vallejo police department says officers responded to a call from a 14 year old girl reporting that she was stuck in a man's car.. and that he would not take her home.they say.. when they approached that car.. the suspect 22 year old angel bagos ran away from the scene.. and to the front part of mod pizza which is where the video was taken.the man who captured the arrest on his cell phone says.. officers tackled bagos so hard into the door that the glass and wood broke.but police say.. bagos tripped on the sidewalk as officers trying take him

down to arrest him.elaine wallace/vallejohe was just a little guy. there's no way he could trip from this curb and do that much damage to that door..police also say.. that bagos refused to comply when officers ordered him from underneath his body.. so one of them used a flashlight to repeatedly hit him in his back area and left arm.elaine wallace/vallejothere's no way that the police should be in a position like that. first of all, it's two cops. the guy is on the ground. and while the guy is spending all that energy beating him, the other cop was taking his precious time putting him in handcuffs. and we don't know what happened before because of where the video started . but that does not have to do with the end result was, them beating him like a meat cleaver. he was screaming like an animal screaming and they had no sympathy. they just kept beating him.

story we are following this morning... mourners paid their last respects to mollie tibbetts. the 20-year-old university of iwoa student who was orginally from the bay area... disappeared in july....while she was out jogging. her body was found last week, and a suspect is in custody. omar jimenez has the latest. nat bugs/crickets corn fieldit was in a corn field near this very spotwhere police found the body of mollie tibbetts.a former psychology major at the university of iowa.days laterfamily and friends try to come to grips with a saga that began with her disappearance in mid-july.her funeral service brought together hundreds...a mix of family, friends, and members of the community...emotions still raw.she was last seen on july 18thjogging.omar jimenez/reporting"one family member tells me this is the path she would normally run and, according to investigators, it was surveillance video from around this intersection that led to

it was the people of richmond against former gang members from los angeles. all the players are volunteers -- the main purpose is to promote peace and to stop local violence.. pantazes joins us live in concord with the latest. a new warning for contra costa county residents... more insects and birds have tested positive for west nile virus. so far 13 groups of mosquitoes.. 8 dead birds and 13 chickens have tested positive for the virus. that's compared to last year when officials found the virus in just three groups of mosquitos and five dead birds. so far the virus has been found in nine areas of contra costa county.. oakley.. martinez.. holland tract.. discovery bay.... quimby island... brentwood.. bryon... antioch and concord. ( james ) investigators say say a tesla driver who said he áthoughtá his car was in autopilot mode... crashed into the back of a firetruck in san jose. c-h-p says says the tesla rear-ended a fire engine that was stopped with its emergency lights turned on along highway 101 on saturday. 37-year-old michael tran told officers "i think i had auto-pilot on." tran was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. it was unclear whether autopilot was activated. tesla says in a statement that it has not yet received any data from the car, but they are working to figure out what happened. ( james ) firefighters in stockton had to forcibly remove a man from their fire engine after they said he tried to steal it. the incident happened early saturday morning... police say the man was pushing a lit garbage can up the driveway when fire crews arrived before he hopped in the front seat of the truck. after a short struggle.. they were able to get him out of the truck before he could take off. the man was arrested and faces chares for trying to steal a fire truck.. battery on a firefighter and arson. a relief for commuters and for business owners near the tunnel. some businesses had to work around the construction equipment that took up parking spaces. the city's municipal transportation agency was replacing trcks and drainage systems. this comes two weeks after 51-year-old patrick ricketts died after he was hit by a steel beam working inside the tunnel. ( darya ) verizon says it has changed its policy after a bay area fire chief filed a lawsuit claiming the company slowed down their data speeds while they were battling the mendocino complex fire. the lawsuit states that slowing the internet speed was actively impeding firefighters' ability to provide essential emergency services. just days after the lawsuit was filed ... verizon says they will ánow lift restrictions on public safety customers, providing full network access.
