( robin ) oakland police are releasing surveillance video and sketches that they say show persons of interest in a double-homicide back in 20-16. during a news ocnference yesterday... family and friends of craig cooks lined up behind police with his picture. police also released this video that shows the chaos the night that cooks and another person were killed. the shooting happened after cooks got into a fight with a group of people at a party. < as a result of that not only was he beat up but he was also shot. there was a number people out there that flooded the streets wants the gunfire erupted. people ran in all different directions. as a

suspect pulled out a gun to deter anyone from trying to help the girl. ( robin ) happening today... a federal judge in san jose will hear arguments of 10 detained immigrants transferred from richmond to for-profit.. private immigration jails out of state. this comes a month after the contra costa sheriff announced his department was canceling its contract with ice. those tranferred are separated by hundreds of miles from family members, attorneys, and vital witnesses for their immigration cases who may be unable to travel, which in turn effects their cases. advocates have said transferring the detainees out of state is an abuse of power. ( robin ) along the u-s - mexico border... some latino- americans say the government is denying them passports... and even starting deportation proceedings against them. scrutiny and passport denials for those born near the border

( robin ) a pedestrian was struck and killed in rohnert park by a sonoma-marin area rail transit train. it happened just before 5 last night. officers found a 29-year-old man laying away from the tracks.. he was pronounced dead on scene. witnesses say the man appeared to have headphones on... the train engineer sounded a horn but the man kept walking. ( robin ) in the south bay... a 16-year-old has been arrested for shooting 15-year-old near a school in san jose. it happened on monday on the 900 block of walnut woods drive... that's just two blocks from robert f. kennedy elementary school. the teen is expected to be okay.

( robin )a bill that would raise the standards for police use of force... has been put on hold. it was inspired by the shooting death of stephon clark... he was shot and killed by sacramento police in march. officers thought he was holding a gun-- which turned out- he was only holding a cellphone. sacramento bureau reporter ashley zavala explains why it's being stalled. looking at issues of criminaliy, ( robin )a stockton teen is now home safe. she and a wrestling coach were missing for almost a week. deputies found phillip maglaya and a 16 year old girl. he's suspected of being in a romantic relationship with her. the sheriff's department says an anonymous tip led deputies to a house on mendocino avenue in stockton. the girl was found unharmed and has been reunited with her family. sheriff's deputies say it was a tearful reunion. the father spoke about their ordeal. ( robin ) investigators pointed out that even if the girl went willingly with the coach - since she is only 16 years old - it's illegal. maglaya is facing six charges including child abduction and is

( robin )in santa rosa... surviellance video captured a group stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from an apple store. it happened wednesday night at the santa rosa plaza mall. police say the thieves got away with 35-thousand dollars worth of electronics. authorities say just after 8 pm that night... three men wearing hoodies entered the apple store and grabbed anything they could get their hands on...then took off.you can see there were several people in the store when the crime took place.now police are hoping this surveillance video will help them identify the suspects. this comes just days after the apple store in walnut creek was raided. the crooks there got away with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

( james ) a canadian mother and her 10-year-old daughter have been found and are safe this morning. 29-year-old audrey rodrigue and her daughter emily were reported missing monday... after flying into san francisco for a camping trip. yesterday afternoon... the san mateo county sheriff's office reported that they we're found safe. rodrigue had texted her boyfriend over the weekend and then no one had heard from them. rodrigue and her daughter, emily, are set to return home to canada today. prosecutors and the f-b-i are warning people affected by the mendocino complex fire to watch out for fraud. the f-b-i is teaming up with the north bay disaster fraud task force... which was created after october's firestorm. officials are warning victims to watch out for anyone pretending to be part of a cleanup crew. they're also urging people to be on the lookout for fake charities. ( darya ) under proposed legislation... california power companies would be able to raise electric bills to cover the costs of lawsuits from last year's deadly wildfires. the bill would also give utility workers job protection. the measure is set for votes in the senate and assembly today. critics have blasted the measure... calling it a bailout for p-g-and-e. p-g and-e expects to pay billions of dollars related to lawsuits after the north bay wildfires.
