a gun. alvardo barricaded himself in a car. shoppers at a nearby hardware store were on lockdown during the negotiations. nearly 2 hours later... police took alvarado into custody. he was booked into county jail for multiple felony charges including possession of a high capacity magazine. ( marty ) ( marty ) community and religious groups protested for the final time outside of the west contra costa county jail in richmond. they were calling for the release of undocumented immigrants. but now that local authorities have cancelled their contract with ice.... undocumented detainees have been transferred out of the jail. eight undocumented immigrants were released from the richmond facility in the last week. that includes

hugo aguilar who says he is greatful to be back with his family. and now that he is out he says he wants to do more to help other undocumented immigrants. ( marty ) with the cancellation of the contract in richmond... the closest i-c-e dentention facility to the bay area is more than 100 miles away in yuba county. ( marty ) new this morning in national news... we are learning more about thursday's deadly collision between a greyhound bus and a semi in new mexico. the n-t-s-b released these new pictures of the bus d big rig involved. at least eight people were killed in that crash. n-t-s-b investigators are now taking a closer look at a tire that blew out on the semi... causing it to cross the median and collide with the bus. so far no charges have been filed in connection crash. california family has a warning this holiday weekend ... after an out of control jet ski slammed into the back of their boat.. the terrifying crash was caught on video on folsom lake. a wife says a jet ski came uncomfortably close - before striking the side of the boat - leaving a hole. luckily no one on the boat was injured... but leah prior of roseville says they did find the jet skier who hit the boat. that was kron 4's hermela aregawi reporting for us this morning. in novato -- three people are in jail ...on d-u-i charges in connection with a police checkpoint. the d-u-i drivers license checkpoint there is on westbound san marin drive... at west campus drive. authorities have screened nearly two thousand vehicles so far this weekend. nine other drivers were cited or arrested for driving without a license, or with a suspended or revoked license. ( marty ) happening now... police are investigating a shooting in oakland that sent one man to the hospital. it happened on the 19-hundred block of 62nd avenue. there is now word on the victim's condition this morning. police have not released any information about a motive or a suspect. ( marty ) a bay area man who wants to help the homeless ...took his passion for pizza to the streets. he raised money for 2 organizations dedicated to helping the homeless. we first told you about him last week. now we learning that he's at it again. kron 4's ali reid was in the kitchen for an inside look.

this morning... the number of children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has significantly increased in the past 20 years. a new study found more than ten percent of american kids were diagnosed with a-d-h-d between 2015 and 2016. that was up from about six percent between 19-97 and 19-98. minority children saw the most pronounced increases. the rate also doubled in girls... although it is still much lower compared to boys. researchers found no evidence the condition is being over- diagnosed or mis-diagnosed.

religious groups protested for the final time outside of the west contra costa county jail in richmond. they were calling for the release of undocumented immigrants. kron four's philippe djegal spoke with one of the people released. (philippe) 17-months after the west county detention facility became his home... hugo aguilar is out... relieved and grateful to be back with his family.hugo aguilar/released detainee- "thank god i'm out here, you know. i'm feeling the freedom like you guys, and i'm very, very grateful."nats- "we wash away all of the sad and torturous feelings." aguilar was one of eight undocumented immigran released from the richmond facility this week. the last of the more than 160 detainees housed here when in july... the contra costa county sheriff's office announced it was terminitating it's contact with immigration and customs enforcement... in response to the years and years of monthly protests stagged outside.hugo aguilar/released detainee- "while i'm out here, i want to

do something, you know to help them too and help the organizations that helped, you know, helped my family, helped the other people to you know, get them out." hulissa aguilar, one of hugo's three children... stands by her father's side -- wishing the best for other families in similar situations.hulissa aguilar/hugo's daughter- "it's not fair. no one deserves it." hugo says a domestic violence incident alerted i-c-e of his immigration status last year, which led to him being taken into custody in oakland. his exit symbolizes the hard work the community and groups like reverend deborah lee's interfaith movement for human integrity did to ensure his release. a federal judge required he post an 80- thousand dollar bond. lee says that was raised in the past six weeks.rev. deborah lee/ifmhi- "hugo's story is an amazing story of how the power of community can work." reverend lee says her organization will continue to collect funds to help undocumented immigrants... but saturday marks the end of her group's campaign to push i-c-e out of the facility. now, the closest i-c-e dentention facility to the bay area is more than 100 miles away in yuba county. in richmond, philippe djegal, kron four news.

( marty ) new this morning in national news... we are learning more about thursday's deadly collision between a greyhound bus and a semi in new mexico. the n-t-s-b released these new pictures of the bus and big rig involved. at least eight people were killed in that crash. n-t-s-b investigators are now taking a closer look at a tire that blew out on the semi... causing it to cross the median and collide with the bus. so far no charges have been filed in connection with the crash. this neighborhood -- so many homes being rebuilt ...and now neighbors are having to deal with hearing their electric bills could go up to pay for the lawsuits. volawmakers voted to allow pg and e to raise electric bills to cover the cost of lawsuits from last year's deadly wildfires ...even if they're found to have behaved negligently.the measure has been sent to governor jerry brown's desk and it is likely he will sign it as he proposed the bill and has been in support of helping pg and e. but even lawmakers who voted for it said they had misgivings but believed the bill was necessary to prevent financial ruin for pg and e -- who's on the hook for billions of dollars if its equipment is ultimately wildfires that thousands of homes here in

( marty ) a big story we are following this morning... the man who was pushed out of a muni train in a viral video is speaking to kron 4 news... he says it all started because of the music he was playing. ella sogomonian éthis video of an attack on a muni train has been watched one and a half million times on social media. it shows two men trying to push another off the train...who's been identified as san francisco local , 21 year old dexter lotz. the deli employee says he was enjoying his day off and was on his way home when he claims the man in blue lunged at him for having the volume up high while listening to music.sot: dexter lotz, attacked on muni// "we could have worked something out this has happened plenty of times on muni and people have asked me but have been polite about it. but he didnt even give me a chance to even turn it down. as soon as any verbal confrontation happened he immediately leaped at me."lotz says he nearly lost consciousness when the man put

pornography charges. police say he was found with more than 600 files of child porn. maurice alvarez was arrested in san francisco after homeland security investigators say they found more than than 600 images of child pornography. police also arrested cristobal avendano in san francisco. investigators say he was trying to use social media to meet a 14 year old girl for sex. ( marty ) we are learning more about a standoff in san mateo... officers took a man with a gun into custody after nearly two hours saturday. crisis negotiation teams responded to the scene on first avenue. a woman told officers that her boyfriend, 23-year-old german alvarado, threatened her with a gun. alvardo barricaded himself in a car. shoppers at a nearby hardware store were on lockdown during the negotiations. nearly 2 hours later... police took alvarado into custody. he was booked into county jail for multiple felony charges

another attack at the macarthur bart station. this time an agent was punched in the face. police say two women reported a man was harassing them outside of the station. when the bart agent approached the women... the attacker punched him in the face. the agent was taken to the hospital with a cut on his right cheek. officers searched the area... but were not able to find the person ( marty ) another big story we are following... this holiday weekend police departments across the bay area have more officers patrolling the roads looking for people driving under the influence. kron 4's hermela aregawi has the details.

that was kron 4's hermela aregawi reporting for us this morning. in novato -- three people are in jail ...on d-u-i charges in connection with a police checkpoint. the d-u-i drivers license checkpoint there is on westbound san marin drive... at west campus drive. authorities have screened nearly two thousand vehicles so far this weekend. nine other drivers were cited or arrested for driving without a license, or with a suspended or revoked license. ( marty ) happening now... police are investigating a shooting in oakland that sent one man to the hospital. it happened on the 19-hundred block of 62nd avenue. there is no word on the victim's condition this morning. police have not released any information about a motive or a suspect. ( marty ) a bay area man who wants to help the homeless ...took his passion for pizza to the streets. he raised

money for 2 organizations dedicated to helping the homeless. we first told you about him last week. now we learning that he's at it again. kron 4's ali reid was in the kitchen for an inside look. i want them to experience a hot, fresh meal, with a lot of care given to the ingredients and the food.mark schechter (shek-ter) works in tech, but his passion for pizza runs deep. throw it in, turn it a couple times and it's donethe 30 year old got his foot in the door at pizza hacker in the mission and pizzeria delfina. along with his day job, he now runs a pop up and wants to use those skills to help the less fortunate.seeing all the tents people camped out under the bridges and the tents it pains my heartso he started a fundraiser ... that will go to the 'homeless action center' and 'spirit of oakland'. between facebook and

private donations, he's already raised over 4-thousand dollars.amazing right?he plans to take his rocc box oven, skills, and organic ingredients to one of the east bay encampments and feed up to 100 people labor day weekend. why not show up and show them some compassion and feed them a hot mealschechter is excited for his next endeavor, but also quite nervous.sometimes people say to me, why do you think i need this pizza? you never know what to expectbut if they get a taste of tasted ...so good! im gonna try one now too. that's really good. i mean this is what i wanna bring to the peoplethe initiative will feed the homeless on sunday september 2nd. donations will be accepted tuesday. reporting from san francisco ... ali reid ... kron 4 news.
