>> i love the theme of this movie, of what our fascination with celebrities does to that celebrity. what are some of the things you guys have been told that you had to change in order to be a big star? >> oh, my god. it's a rough business and you have to have thick skin. it's not for everybody. >> and before ga ga's star was born, she had to fight for the way she was born. ♪ i'm on the right track baby i was born this way ♪ >> yeah. i was suggested to get a nose job before i put out my first single and shot the video. i just said no. >> almost everyone in the music industry has told me that my nose is too big and i won't make it. in some ways i'm nothing like ali because she completely gave up on herself and she gave up on her dream and i didn't do that. i hit the ground running when i was 19, but at the same time all of me is in ali. >> she certainly didn't give up. >> we're glad she didn't.
