year old mariah davis was reported missing last wednesday... her ex- boyfriend has turned himself in to police. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the details. alfreda james clutches at a graduation photo of her 18 year old daughter mariah davis. the young woman was found dead near lake chabot dam early monday morning five days after she was reported missing.sot: alfreda james, mother// "i'm never going to see her again. she was the only daughter the only child i had."davis was last seen on surveillence video on wednesday leaving la pinata restaurant in san leandro with her ex boyfriend anthony pimentel. east bay regional park district police arrested him after he turned himself in and allegedly told officers where they could find her body.sot: alfreda james, mother// " he had hit her before and did some bad things. but i didnt think he would kill her. why did he have to kill her though why did he have to kill my baby pimentel had been abusive in the past even breaking the windows of her car. davis's mom says she

dated pimentel for two years at san leandro high school and broke up 7 months ago. her only child would have turned 19 on halloween. ( robin ) anthony pimentel is being charged with first degree murder. he is currently being held without bail. ( robin ) now to the latest on the temporary closure of the salesforce transit center. we are now learning that the traffic nightmare around fremont street is expected to continue for another two weeks. originally crews had said that the work could be done by the end of this week. right now... the beginnings of a shoring system to prop up the salesforce transit center bus deck are already starting to take shape on fremont street.

( robin ) and happening today in san francisco... an inspection report will be turned into the city regarding the cracked window at millennium tower. san francisco's building department decided last month... ánot to restrict access to the building. the tower is already leaning and sinking... and last month a cracked window was discovered. intial inspections of the tower began last week. ( robin ) also happening today... some workers at s-f-o will protest as a part of a world wide demonstartion. they are protesting for better wages... safety and union rights. the protest is set for 12:30 this afternoon at terminal 3. overnight... the death toll from friday's earthquake and tsunami in indonesia is now more tha 12-hundred. nearly 800 others are severely injured. the 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit friday followed by a tsunami... a ten foot wall of water smashed into buildings and swept away homes along the coast. nearly 50- thousand people have been displaced and indonesian officials say the death could still rise as recovery efforts continue. ( robin ) another big story we are following this morning... we are hearing from san francisco mayor london breed and san francisco police officers after governor brown ve-toed a bill to allow safe injection sites in the city. kron 4's haaziq madyun has the latest. ( robin ) fleet week is here and kron 4 is your fleet week station. we still have a few days before the noisy blue angels airshows zooms thru san francisco. kron4's maureen kelly was out on pier 96 where a military demonstration of a different kind took place. the highlight of fleet week for many is the sight of the blue angels cutting across the bay area skies..but in the last decade....this annual tradition .has become much more than an awe inspiring airshow. san francisco is earthquake country, but an emergency situation can happen at any given time.mayor london breed welcomed the men and women of the armed

services....who were here along with local first responders to practice how they would cooperate in the aftermath of a major diaster. (mary ellen carroll, sf dept of emergency management)a catastrophic event, particularly the type of earthquake we are likely to experience in our lifetime many more resources will require many more resources then we have with in the city and probably with in the region. and what you're seeing her today and what you'll see all week is our efforts to partner to literally roll out the types of equipment to test the capabilities that we will meet in the event of a catastrophic disaster here in the citytoday's disaster response drill centered around bringing fuel ...a resource that will be very scarce after a major quake....off naval ships....and into the hands of local authorities...both the military and local and state agencies brought out their emergency communication systems.... this exercises for everyone to get all their toys out and see who can talk to who, what assets do you have what assets do we have can we talk via vhf, hf do you have satcom communications do you have satellite phones?it's questions like this....that are best to be worked out before a diaster...than during one.maureen kelly kron4 news.

( robin ) also new this morning... a 12-year-old boy is ambushed...attacked...adn robbed while biking home from school... and it was all caught on camera. it happened in elk grove... near sacramento. eric rucker shows us the video. "i saw three guys running towards me, the driver he pushed me down into the floor and all came and tackled me" that's the altered voice of this elk grove child.the 12-year-old - recalling last friday when a neighbors security video shows him being attacked by a group of teens. "i thought i would like get murdered because i didn't know if they had a weapon or not" the eighth grader says he was biking home from school when he was followed by the teens. the victim says one of the suspects asked him what kind of phone he had...then the attack began.but the young victim wasn't the only one

( robin ) an east bay city is ranked the best place to raise a family in the bay area. that's according to a new report from wallet- hub. take a guess...what city is it? .. the report says... ásan ramon is the best city for economic and educational opportunities... as well as overall quality of life. mayor bill clarkson of san ramon spoke with kron 4 about that report.

( robin ) martins' beach in san mateo county.. has been embroiled in a controversial battle over access for the past few years. as kron four's terisa estacio reports, the united states supreme court handed a win to the group fighting to keep it open. terisa estacio, reporting martins beachbehind me is the gate that has been padlocked randomly over the years, shutting off access to the martin's beach... a beautiful beach below.... but as you can see, the gate is open, and a group who has long fought to keep it open rejoiced. natural

sound - hooray - (track) 18 jennifer (track) 18 jennifer savage, surfriders organziation it was all smiles - as this group of public activists, including the surfriders organization and others involved in keeping martins beach open to the public talked about the struggle and what they say this fight is really all about... joe cotchett, "it is all about the people and access and rights of the public. "money does not dictate access." this is close up look at martin's beach. back in 2008, martin's beach. look at martin's beach. back in 2008, vinod khosla bought the 89 acre ocean spread. and he promptly started limiting access. he argued that he had the right because he owned the land to close or open whenever he choose. however, the california coastal commission ruled that khosla must obtain a permit to limit the access.

( darya ) a big story we are following this morning... a missing east bay teen has been found dead. 18-year-old mariah davis' body was found near lake chabot dam yesterday morning.. five days after she was reported missing. davis was last seen on surveillence video wednesday leaving la pinta restaurant in san leandro with her ex-boyfriend anthony pimentel. police arrested pimentel after he truned himself and reportedly told officers where to find davis' body.

( james ) two men and a 14 year old boy have been arrested after police say they were involved in a takeover robbery at a t-mobile store in oakland. the thieves wore masks and forced customers and employees into a backroom while they ransacked the store. a witness saw the robbery last wednesday and called police. officers were able to find the three hiding in a backyard. deandre lennox and isaiah blackmon were arrested along with the 14 year old boy. the men have been charged with robbery and kidnapping. the 14-year old from sacramento is awaiting charges.
