oakland raiders. the silver and black will be down in so- cal taking on the los angeles chargers. still sounds weird saying that. the raiders won their first game of the year last week and a win on sunday would show people that they are building something. a loss would show them it's likely to be a very long season. here are some things to keep in mind when we talk raiders. marshawn lynch had perhaps his best game in the silver and black uniform last week. look for the raiders to keep going to him. jon gruden says we just keep feeding him skittles. also look at the raiders defense in the second half. they have given up 20 or more points in each of the 2nd halfs of their first four games. one of just two teams to do that in nfl history. and watch out for philip rivers, the chargers are 16 and 9 when he starts for them against the raiders. kickoff starts at 1:05 sunday. the san francisco 49ers will be in

action at levi's stadium against arizona on sunday. the two teams are a combined 1 and 7 on the season. i checked stubhub prices and as of saturday afternoon....ch eapest ticket was 30 bucks to go to the game.obviously jimmy garoppolo is out for the season with an acl injury. c.j. beathard will be at the helm again sunday. he said this week, "there is no doubt in my mind that we can make the playoffs." a lot of 49ers fans might already be counting them out but beathard played hard last week and with a lot of guys injured he stood in there and threw for about 300 yards. here's something to keep in mind over the past three seasons the niners have lost six straight games to the cardinals. also matt brieda is the nfl's third leading rusher this season and he was given the ball just 9 times last week and thrown at three

times. look for him to be more involved. also keep in mind the niners may be without their starting cornerbacks which include richard sherman. we shall see. kickoff starts at 1:25 sunday. the yankees, team that beat the a's trying to come back from a game one loss to boston on friday night. beautiful night for baseball at at fenway park. this thing was all new york from the start. aaron judge....in the first inning says good bye. get outta here. hits a rocket that is still sailing away as i speak. then gary sanchez getting in on the action as well. in the second inning. how bout another home run shot. wow. sanchez hit two dongs on the night. former giant andrew mccutchen had an rbi hit as well for the yanks who go on to beat the red soz 6 to 2. this series is tied at 1. live look outside... golden gate bridge.. you could generate your own energy,

( marty )more often than not, travelers get introduced to alaska when traveling on a cruise ship. but travel enthusiast dana rebmann says you should consider hitting the road. she joins us now.(2-shot) there's plenty of great reasons to explore alaska on a cruise, but it's not the only way. being on the road offers its own advantages. denali national park & preserve being one of the big ones. six million acres of wild, one road that goes for 92 miles, until you just reach the end and turn around. cars are only allowed to mile 15,

after that all travel has to be done by bus. (it's essentially where the paved road ends.) the farther you go, the better your chances of spotting wildlife along the way. i went all the way to the end of the road in kantishna. it took more than 12 hours to go out and back, so it was a long day, but i lost count of the number of bears, there were a handful of moose, caribou, even a porcupine. if the weather cooperates, you also get plenty of opportunities to see mount denali, the highest mountain peak in north america. (20,310')the thought of a road trip in alaska might seem overwhelming. you don't have to do it on your own. just like cruises ships get you from one destination to the

next, there are a number of ground tours as well. i was traveling with john hall's alaska. they took care of all of the logistics, from park and attraction entry fees to hotel check-ins. all of your time on the ground in alaska doesn't necessarily have to be spent on the road. the alaska railroad is worth hopping aboard. with just shy of 500 miles of track, there are numerous stops, so you don't have do the entire stretch. but on a clear day, the scenery can be pretty impressive. every seat has a view, but i don't think i ever sat down. i spent the entire few hours on an open air, outside area of the car.
