what i told chris mortensen, i was quoted on what i said to chris mortensen. i don't see us making any more trades. i didn't see us making a trade the other day. i really didn't. sometimes, like i said, your plans change, whether you like it or not. you don't know who is calling or what they're going to say. you really don't. that does in all phases of life. i don't see us making any more trades, but i'll never say never again to anybody. if i said never to you, i'm sorry. i don't think i did."q: so if somebody calls about derek carr?coach gruden: "i'm not going to speculate abouthat today. i don't see us making anymore trades. certainly, i don't see us trading our quarterback." "no man, i don't pay that any mind. just go talk to those guys. if they don't want to put their name on it, i am going to leave it as what it is. it's nothing to me. if they want to come say it to my locker, i've had plenty of tough discussions standing right here with teammates. those are some of the guys that texted me yesterday saying, 'don't worry about this bull crap.' that kind of stuff. i can't tell you how many texts i got from former teammates, teammates i have now and all of these things that when your losing crap happens.""all these reports about this locker room being fractured with derek carr is the most

obnoxious and ridiculous thing i've heard ever. it's to the point where it's comical and laughable that i'm even sitting here talking about it..us as players have zero issues with derek carr. he is our leader, he has always been our leader. we put a c on his chest for a reason along with rodney hudson and regardless of what face he makes after a tackle or what everybody wants to dive into and wear him out about or attacking his character or attacking him as a leader on this football team is a joke." moving over to the 49ers-- not as much off the field drama, but there are on-field concerns. for the last several weeks, the niners have had a terrible habit of keeping the ball... they are last in the league in turnover differential.. and have given the ball away 14-times since the chargers game, which was nearly a month ago. kyle shanahan..on protecting the ball. "i think you're taking every step possible in those type of areas. you could have every single person carry

around a football or something like some movies and things like that. that's about all that's left. so, we're trying to focus on executing, doing the little things better. trying to not get into some second-and-long situations where you can avoid some tips and things like that where you become one have to protect the ball better fumbles." finally tonight, warriors back on the court at oracle before leaving the bay area for a 3-game road trip. the back-to-back champs...hosting the wizards... and coming off a performance in which they ran through the suns... in a 20-point blowout. but one of the subplots of the year is klay thompson's 3-point percentage.. as he's 3-for 22 from downtown. but neither he nor his teammates are worried much. that wraps up kron4 news at 6.
