( robin ) it's not just the butte county fire burning in the state... two other fires are currently burning in southern california. one of those fires... named the "woolsey fire"... sparked around 2-30 yesterday afternoon in ventura county. it has burned more than 2- thousand acres as of yesterday evening... and is still growing. several communities have been evacuated and it even forced the 101 freeway to be shutdown.

( robin ) another fire burning in the same county --- is the hills fire. it burned at least 12-point-5 miles in just the first 2 hours. it originiated in the santa rosa valley --- which is just about 10 miles northwest of thousand oaks. ( robin )now on to the story we have been following since we first brought it to you as breaking news yesterday morning.flags around the state were ordered to fly at half staff in mourning for the now 12 people killed at a night club in thousand oaks. ( robin ) the help was so important because with so many people injured, the hospitals needed all the donations they could get. from vintage high school in ( robin )throughout the day thursday...friends stopped by alaina housley's family home in napa to drop off flowers. housley was a freshman at pepperdine university in malibu.but thursday at vintage high in napa...the flag was lowered to honor her memory. and the school's principal remembered housley as a kind, genuine, person who all kinds of people were drawn to. ( robin ) we are learning more about the victims of wednesday night's deadly mass shooting at a southern california bar. one of the 12 killed was a law enforcement veteran -- looking to retire soon. here is video of l-a-p-d officers laying flowers at the scene where he was killed. bay... santa rosa fire officials are remaining at the scene of a brush fire this morning. the fire first broke out just before five last night at howarth park. the fire was burning along the hillside between lake ralphine and homes at the top of the ridge on sullivan way. the terrian caused access to the fire to slow down crews. firefighters were able to stop the fire within a few hundred feet on the homes. the cause of the fire is under investigation. ( darya ) p-g-and-e has canceled plans for a possible shutoff for eight northern california counties. pg&e began notifying customers by text, voice messages and emails on tuesday about the high fire danger conditions. pg&e canceled the power shutoff plan wednesday night

charleston road and huff avenue monday night. police arrived and began c-p-r on hong but she was pronounced dead at the scene. police say the shttle bus driver remained at the scene and is cooperating. ( james ) police in san francisco are looking for the driver who fled the scene of a hit and run. the crash was first reported just after 3 wednesday afternoon in the south of market neighborhood. police say a man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for his injuries. police did not release a description of the driver.
