now to the latest on the "camp fire" burning in butte county. right now, the death toll stands at 79 and nearly 700 people are

unaccounted for. so far the fire has burned more than 151-thousand acres and it's 70-percent contained. more than 12 thousand homes have been destroyed and 14-thousand are threatened. tonight crews are desperately trying to recover human remains-- and stabilize everything before the storm hits. kron 4's terisa estacio is live in chico tonight-- terisa, what are crews up against?

body of a man discovered in the bay over the weekend - "is" the missing 49er fan we've been talking about since early last week.. kron four's rob fladeboe brings us up to date on the story now.. he's live in santa clara. rob? (rob/live) citing a coronor's report just out today, santa clara police say the search for 49ers fan ian powers, who went missing following the game a week ago monday night, drowned. his death they say, was an accident. it was here in the bay, about a mile from the alviso marina where san jose police recovered the body of a man on saturday. the county cornor has determined the body is that of this man, 32 year old ian powers, of spokane, washington. the corner found the cause of death was drowning by saltwater. captain wahid kazem/santa clara police "....we can see no evidence of foul play being involved in this case at any point. it's a very sad and tragic end to the case and there are still a lot of questions unanswered,

unfortunately the only one who could answer those questions is ian himself..."powers had attended the november 12th 49ers game with his girlfriend and her children, leaving for the restroom in the 4th quarter not to return. he was last seen on surveillance video leaving the stadium. why did he leave without his companions? how did he end up in alviso when his car was parked in the opposite direction? captain wahid kazem/santa clara police "....we too have many of the same questions as members of the public like ow he ended up where he did but given we have there is really nothing there for us. the coroner's analysis is an important part of our investigation and had there been any evidence of foul play it would have taken us down a different path but they have ruled this an accidental drowning..." "it was shocking and scary, too /// we heard after breakfast time that there had been a murder," (catherine) their mother fell to her death from the top deck of a cruise ship.tonight her children are saying she did not want to go on the cruise ... and feared she might not return alive.the fbi and police on the caribbean island of aruba are investigating alma-rosio tenorio's death as a possible homicide. the fifty=two year old grandmother from alabama died after falling from the upper deck of the royal princess cruise ship. the royal princess was at sea between the dutch caribbean islands of curacao and aruba. some witnesses report seeing tenorio struggle with what they described as a muscular man on the top deck of the ship.tenorio died after falling fourteen stories, shattering the top of this lifeboat,""i heard

a thump. i thought it was in the middle of night; it was early morning,"""it was 20 past three and we looked over the balcony."the next morning, police boarded the ship in aruba, questioning everyone but making no arrests. (vicki) for your health tonight... americans are being asked not to eat any romaine lettuce. the centers for disease control and prevention says it's due to e-coli concerns. the c-d-c says 32 people in 11 states have been infected with e-coli blamed on romaine lettuce. another 18 have fallen ill from the same strain in two canadian provinces. and since no one common grower, supplier, distributor or company has been identified as the source of the outbreak, the c-d-c is advising all americans to throw out any romaine lettuce they have at home. restaurants and stores are also being asked not serve or sell any until more is known about the outbreak.is known about any until more is known about the outbreak. chin/concerned about flooding- "they don't have no shovel here. so, i uh (philippe) yeah, it's bring your own shovel. (bob) so, this is my shovel here, haha." rain is expected overnight. bob chin fears his home could experience some flooding. so, he packed a few bags of sand in the larkey park parking lot.bob chin/concerned about flooding- "my pipe is all backed up. any water will overflow my sewage. so, that's why i'm doing it." there are also concerns about the particulate matter from the smoke and the possibility of it causing health problems by contaminating our drinking water.sejal choksi-chugh/sf baykeeper- "the drinking water systems do filter out these types of pollutants and toxins." sejal choksi- chugh (say-juhl choke-see chew) is the executive director of the san francisco baykeeper... which advocates for keeping the bay waters clean and safe.sejal choksi-chugh/sf baykeeper- "it's really a concern for air quality." where the problem lies, she says, is with the runoff into our storm drains that feed into our creeks, rivers and the bay. sejal choksi-chugh/sf baykeeper- "a lot of pollution has accumulated on our street surfaces, and as soon as it starts raining, we are concerned that that pollution, the oil from our cars, the trash that collects on our streets, the fertilizers and pesticides that we've applied on our lawns over the summer -- that stuff will wash off and get into the storm drains." the baykeeper recommends waiting three days after a rain event before getting into any body of water. in walnut creek, philippe djegal, kron four news. (vicki) millions of americans will travel this thanksgiving holiday. but an eleven year old georgia boy won't be among them -- despite his best efforts. the boy made it all the way through security at the 'world's busiest airport' before authorities figured out he didn't have a ticket. tom jones explains what happened.

instead of playing with the basketball goal in his yard, authorities say an 11 year old boy decided he wanted to get away.so he ran away.my sources say he hopped on a marta bus from clayton county.tom jones, reporting:"the 11 year old boy got off the marta bus, arrived here at the airport and went to the security checkpoint. you'd think he would have been stopped right there."the boy got past security without a boarding pass.one traveler told me that's never happened with her minor child.debbie ripchick/traveler: "he's never had to show an id but he does have to at least say his name and he has a boarding pass and he's with me."the unaccompanied child then was screened.the t-s-a says the child took off running after an officer noticed him in pajamas and asked where were his parents..the boy then boarded the train.empress love, traveler:"how is that even possible to let somebody through the... an 11 year old boy through the screening when he is by himself."atlanta police say a delta employee called saying the child was trying to board a plane without a boarding pass. officers tried to locate his family.i went to the boy's home and told the boy's mother i was trying to figure out how this happened.blur her face!!!! mother/no name:"okay well you

"in less than 24 hours all of the unhealthy air we have been breathing for 11 days is expected to clear up from the rain in the forecast. but until then the air here in concord continues to be hazey and smokey. i'm standing near highway four which you can barely see along with mount diablo. many people i spoke with say they're need of relief. "i'm glad i hope it takes some of it out of the air. i can't wait.""its a good thing can't wait to get the kids back to school."the unhealthy air started to flow into the bay area after the camp fire erupted on november eighth.everyday after that seemed to get worse and worse. it one point the bay area had the worst air quality in the world. the worst days were last thursday, friday and saturday. got into a car at a stoplight-- and demanded the driver take him home. when the driver refused, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the shoulder. t suspect was able to take over the car and drove away. the victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. shortly after a caller reported a man left a car in a west pleasant hill neighborhood and entered several homes in the area. police were finally able to arrest the man on the 18- hundred block of pleasant hill road. (catherine) on the peninsula... palo alto police are looking for a man they say exposed himself to a young girl. it happened yesterday on the 300 block of east meadow drive. police say the 14-year-old girl was walking when a man pulled up in a car and asked for directions. she told police she saw that he had his pants pulled down. the girl got away quickly and called her mother. she says the man followed her for a short time-- but eventually drove away. the car he was driving is described as an older model light brown or gold 4-door sedan that was

messy inside. police are asking anyone with information to please call them. (vicki) facebook's list of problems keeps growing. the company was reportedly involved in questionable opposition research tactics. and one senator says facebook isn't necessarily protecting people's privacy like the company said it would. kron4's washington correspondent alexandra limon tells us what that senator plans to do about it. facebook ceo mark zuckerberg told congress his company would do a better job to stop russians from spreading fake news on its platform.instead - the new york times reports-- facebook hired an opposition research firm to dig up dirt on its critics and possibly spread fake news about them... including the very senators who were pressing facebook to clean up its act...sen. ron wyden / or-di started asking questions on these issues of facebook a long time ago. senator ron wyden of oregon says facebook promised to take additional steps to protect people's privacy as well as tighten controls on how personal information is used by third parties -- like

toyland" report is out -- in time for the big holiday shopping season. it warns of toys that ácouldá potentially hurt your kids. one of the biggest concerns -- slime products. six popular "slime" toys contain what the report deems "dangerously high" levels of boron-- a non-metallic element used in detergents and rat poison. a chemical expert says the type of boron in the slime has low toxicity. he says a child would need to eat "multiple containers" before reaching toxic levels. choking hazards and privacy concerns from tech toys also made the list. police admit there are some unansweredquestions in the mystery surrounding the disappearence of 49ers fan ian powers, last seen in this surveillance video from levi's stadium a week ago monday. (walk to bam) (ken) but they do know it was powers' body that was found in the bay near alviso over the weekend. police released this map.... you can see levi's stadium here in red. this is where powers' vehicle was located. this is where he was last seen. and this shaded area is where his body was found. kron four's rob fladboe has the latest from santa clara. it was here in the bay, about a mile from the alviso marina where san jose police recovered the body of a man on saturday. the county cornor has determined the body is that of this man, 32 year old ian powers, of spokane, washington. the corner found the cause of death was drowning by saltwater. captain wahid kazem/santa
