believe there's a second gunman on the loose following a shooting at a mall in hoover. you can see the choas that insued after shots rang out on thanksgiving night. an 18-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl were injured in the shooting. police say it started with some type of fight inside the mall. 21-year-old emantic bradford

was then shot and killed by an officer who says he was brandishing a gun following the incident. friday, police said that new evidence suggests bradford was partially involved in the fight but was not likely the person who shot the injured 18-year-old. so police are still trying to determine who fired the shot injuring the young girl.## ( sara ) the trump administration says a freelance journalist and former marine who was kidnapped in syria six years ago is still alive. austin tice hasn't been seen since a video with his captors emerged five weeks after his disappearance in 2012. tice went to syria to photograph and report what was happening to ordinary syrians after conflict there had heated up. he was coming home for a final year of law school when he vanished before reaching the border. the white house says it is concerned about tice's well-being. ( sara ) president donald trump is asking the supreme court to approve it's ban on most transgender service members in the military. the white house asked the

morning...the coast guard says it is now investigating a ferry crash into a san francisco pier that injured two people. the boat was carrying 53 passengers when it slammed into the pier at san francisco's ferry building. kron 4's sanaz tahernia is joining us now with the latest. it was at about 2:30 p-m yesterday when a golden gate ferry boat crashed near a dock here at the san francisco ferry building behind me. we're told that there were a total of 50 passengers on the ferry at the time of the crash, and that the ferry hit a handrail that was put into place as a safeguard to prevent people from getting hurt when a ship docks.

( sara ) a man is behind bars this morning following an hours long standoff in san jose. police received a call around 10 friday morning saying a family member was armed with a gun at a home on barrow court and they needed help. officers say there were two loud bangs and then the man barricaded himself inside a home... the area of south king street and barberry lane were then blocked off during the standoff. police say the suspect was shot at least once and was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. residents were eventually allowed to return home... the case is being investigated by the san jose police department's internal affairs unit... ( sara ) the oakland diocese says it will 'not' be releasing the names of all clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors in the coming days... as initially stated in october. as kron four's terisa estacio reports, the diocese says it has run into an obstacle, but one victim is calling out the church accusing the diocese of continuing to cover up the scandal.

passengers when it slammed into the pier at san francisco's ferry building. kron 4's sanaz tahernia is joining us now with the it was at about 2:30 p-m yesterday when a golden gate ferry boat crashed near a dock here at the san francisco ferry building behind me. we're told that there were a total of 50 passengers on the ferry at the time of the crash, and that the ferry hit a handrail that was put into place as a safeguard to prevent people from getting hurt when a ship docks. according to clemens while the handrail the ferry crashed into appears to be a simple piece of metal, it actually serves as an incredibly strong barrier. and while it

overnight...interstate 2-80 southbound is back open following a deadly crash. it happened just before 2 a-m, just north of bascom. when police arrived to the scene they found a damaged mercedes with 4 people trapped inside. it took firefighters close to 15 minutes to get everybody out of the car. right now, investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash. one of the victims was pronounced dead at a hospital. ( sara ) the rain has helped almost extinguish california's deadlist fire. the camp fire in butte county is now 95 percent contained. the death toll right now remains at 84. high winds and heavy rains temporarily halted the work of teams searching for remains. officials say they chose to stop for safety reasons as the rain and wind has knocked over trees ... puttting search personnel at risk. the fire has destroyed almost 14 thousand homes since igniting november eighth. and it

( sara ) a man is behind bars this morning following an hours long standoff in san jose. police received a call around 10 friday morning saying a family member was armed with a gun at a home on barrow court and they needed help. officers say there were two loud bangs and then the man barricaded himself inside a home... the area of south king street and barberry lane were then blocked off during the standoff. police say the suspect was shot at least once and was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. residents were

brandishing a gun following the incident. friday, police said that new evidence suggests bradford was partially involved in the fight but was not likely the person who shot the injured 18-year-old. so police are still trying to determine who fired the shot injuring the young ( sara ) the trump administration says a freelance journalist and former marine who was kidnapped in syria six years ago is still alive. austin tice hasn't been seen since a video with his captors emerged five weeks after his disappearance in 2012. tice went to syria to photograph and report what was happening to ordinary syrians after conflict there had heated up. he was coming home for a final year of law school when he vanished before reaching the border. the white house says it is concerned about tice's well-being. ( sara ) president donald trump is asking the supreme court to approve it's ban on most transgender service members in the military. the white house asked the court on friday to immediately take up three cases involving his transgender policy.
