( marty ) many camp fire survivors are stilling looking for a place to call home. hundreds are staying at an american red cross shelter in chico... but it's set to close at the end of the month. reporter jessica mensch has more from the shelter where many people are scrambling to find a new home.

( marty ) residents in an east bay community are concerned following a series of robberies at a popular shopping center. the latest robbery at the fremont hub happened on monday. when a woman walking in the parking lot was approached by a man.. who then demanded her purse. that's when police say, the man started beating her with a pipe. the woman suffered injuries to her head and hand.. and the man took off. then, there were two robberies at the ulta beauty store. one involving a man who claimed he had a gun. he got away with some merchandise. then on january 5th... 2 men brandished a knife at an employee and left with perfume. fremont police do not believe these three incidents are related. the south bay have recovered a historic sign that went missing last november after the closure of orchard supply hardware. the 'osh sign' was one of the most recognizable symbols of the venerable store chain... which was founded in 1931 by local farmers. according to the preservation action council of san jose ... the sign was apparently taken by someone with the misguided intention of preserving it. now that it has been recovered, the neon will be restored... and the sign will be stored at the 'history san jose' museum.. ( marty ) many camp fire survivors are stilling looking for a place to call home. hundreds are staying at an american red cross shelter in chico... but it's set to close at the end of the month. reporter jessica mensch has more from the shelter where many people are scrambling to find a new home.
