still rise ♪ now let's get to another big headline our news desk has been working on. a major break in the jussie smollett attack investigation. chicago police have arrested two brothers in connection with the attack on "empire" star, jussie smollett. authorities say they are the same men seen on this surveillance tape around the time jussie was attacked. our chicago station is at the police department. >> the two men who have been held here since wednesday in connection with the alleged jussie smollett incident are now officially under arrest. now the ruling is unclear, but there is a meeting with them for much of the afternoon. >> it's an awful thing what happened to jussie, but it's not my guys. >> the brother's family on chicago's north side was ransacked by police as they went through looking for evidence. the brothers know smollett from their appearances as extras on "empire." >> this is someone that they
