( marty ) alabama governor kay ivey has issued a state of emergency due to flooding from constant rain. more than a dozen counties are hit hard by flooding, tornadoes, and high wind. parts of northern alabama have seen several inches of rain and governor ivey says the ground can no longer absorb it. more than ten inches of rain fell in northern alabama last week. ( marty ) too much rain is also causing problems in tennessee. some people had to be rescued from their homes in rafts following the recent

storm. flood waters in johnson city trapped people in their homes and submerged vehicles. many roads in the area turned into rivers. many of the homes in the area were rebuilt after a devastating flood just four years ago. ( marty ) severe weather also rocked arkansas this weekend. a news photographer was rolling when a truck driver tried through the standing water on the roads. the photographer and another man quickly jumped into action to rescue the driver. their emissions." i did speak with the president of tri city rock... who says that for more than 30-years now... the business has coexisted with grimmer elementary school... which is also next door, and other businesses and never fielded a complaint. in 2017, stratford school was built with the help of tri city rock... which supplied 37- hundred cubic yards of concreate to help build the foundation... then, in september 2018, parents at the private school started to lodge complaints... and, this led to several unnanounced inspections from state and local authorites... but no violations have been found.bradley angel/greenact ion- "it's a complicated issue because tri city rock was here first."crystal dia/mother- "we really want, uh, you know, tri city rock can relocate so our kids can have clean air to breathe." tri city rock says it is permitted by the bay area air quality management district... and, is operating in compliance of their regulations. in fremont, philippe djegal, kron four news. two california men who spent years in prison for crimes they said they didn't commit... are now free. those men, were released thanks to the work of loyola law school students and professors... who found new evidence in their cases. on friday-- 43-year-old michael tirpak walked out of prison for the first time in nearly 25 years... after having his murder conviction vacated. 35-year-old reggie mallard is also a free man -- after serving 16 years in prifor a murder he says he didn't commit. ( marty ) michael tirpak said he counseled younger inmates while in prison and hopes to do similar work now that he's free. he also got married two years ago while behind bars, and is looking forward to starting a new life with his wife. their strike monday morning - there is rain in the forecast but they say they ordered three thousand ponchos to prepare.you can see in the video during days one and two of the strike teachers were joined by parents and students at all 86 schools in the district.the first day 85 percent of the districts teachers stood on the picket lines with signs chanting we want better and fair pay.on the second day that number grew signifigantly as this has truly become a community wide event. teachers are asking for a 12 percent raise to counteract the financial burden they have been facing trying to pay their rent and bills with the current wage. oakland teachers are among the lowest paid teachers in alameda county causing a major retention crisis.the district says they do not have the

on friday-- 43-year-old michael tirpak walked out of prison for the first time in nearly 25 years... after having his murder conviction vacated. 35-year-old reggie mallard is also a free man -- after serving 16 years in prison for a murder he says he didn't commit. landslide at fort funston in san francisco is now in its' third day. kron 4's sara stinson has the latest details on the search for her body. . (on cam)the recovery effort began friday afternoon after a coastal cliffside collapsed on two women in their 20's were walking a dog on the beach at fort funston. san francisco fire crews were able to rescue one woman and the dog - both survived and are okay.crews have been searching for her friend ever since. the national park service monitored the area overnight and in the morning joined about 60 san francisco firefighters and two k-9's to continue their search using heavy equipment such as

president has already promissed to veto the measure. and then wednesday --- the president's former attorney michael cohen will testify publically to the house oversight committee. cohen is expected to discuss the president's business practices, possible conflicts of interest, his taxes and hush money payments. and while that is happening in washington --- the president will be on the other side of the world, holding a second meeting with north korean dictator kim jong-un in vietnam. kim is on the way to vietnam right now --- traveling on his personal train through china. the summit is expected to last through thursday. ( marty ) looks like looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to read paul manafort's sentencing memo from special counsel robert mueller. the federal court had set a midnight friday deadline for the critical filing -- but the deadline came and went... and the report was not publicly released. it's now up to the judge in the case to determine what happens next. the memorandum is the last major requisite court filing in the prosecution of the former trump campaign manager.
