overnight -- in the east bay, the chp is investigating a freeway shooting on highway 4 in concord. it happened around 2 saturday afternoon. the chp was investigating a silver honda that had drven off the road and hit a guard rail on eastbound highway 4 at port chicago highway. officers found bullet holes on the driver's side door. the woman behind the wheel was pronounced dead at the scene. she was the only person in the car. the chp hasn't released her name nor a motive. ( marty ) a man is in the hospital after he was shot in the head early this morning in oakland. police found the victim at 96th avenue and sunnyside street. the shooting happened just after one a-m. no word on the victim's condition. police have not arrested any suspects. ( marty ) family, loved ones, and members of the sacramento community are coming together to remember the life of stephon clark. he is the 22-year old who was fatally shot by police last march in his grandmother's backyard. police said -- they thought clark was holding a gun. it turned out -- he was holding a phone.

interstate 880 in hayward may have to find a different route during the early morning hours. c-h-p is closing the highway for a few hours overnight next week. kron 4's sara stinson is joining us now live with more. early morning commuters should allow for extra time on interstate highway 880 this week, when all southbound lanes of the freeway in hayward will be closed for four hours overnight for the next four days. the closures will accommodate installation of 880 express lanes signs, according to the metropolitan transportation commission.

the first closure will be from 11:59 p.m. sunday to 4 a.m. monday morning, and continue for the same hours over the next three days, on monday, tuesday and wednesday. the closures will be for southbound lanes between winton avenue and highway 92. additional closures will take place on three days during the following week, on march 24, 25 and 26, for the same hours. while the work is taking place on southbound lanes, two left lanes of northbound interstate 880 also will be closed, from 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. the northbound lane closures will extend from just south of the highway 92 interchange to just north of a street. the project is a partnership among the mtc, caltrans and the california highway patrol. advance warning message signs, detour signs and construction crew flaggers will be in place, and the chp will be on site during these freeway closures. this work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if necessary. drivers are advised to expect delays and to allow extra time traveling through the southbound i-880 corridor.

( marty ) a man is in the hospital after he was shot in the head early this morning in oakland. police found the victim at 96th avenue and sunnyside street. the shooting happened just after one a-m. no word on the victim's condition. police have not arrested any suspects. ( marty ) also-- in the east bay, the chp is investigating a freeway shooting on highway 4 in concord. it happened around 2 saturday afternoon. the chp was investigating a silver honda that had drven off the road and hit a guard rail on eastbound highway 4 at port chicago highway. officers found bullet holes on the driver's side door. the woman behind the wheel was

pronounced dead at the scene. she was the only person in the car. the chp hasn't released her name nor a motive. ( marty ) the family of a vallejo man shot and killed by police says he was not alert at the time of his death. 20-year-old willie mccoy was killed last month at a taco bell drive-thru. barrage of shots..how many shots does it take to stop a threat? on the night of february 9th vallejo police say they found mccoy unresponsive at a taco bell drive thru with a hand gun in his lap. police say when they arrived they boxed-in his car to prevent any sudden movements.they say mccoy woke up but did not listen to their commands..while watching the video harrison says it appears the police were not sure what to do..sot: one cop said to the other cop after he told him the gun was not loaded he said well if he moves you know what to do. and then he said this..harrison says that gesture shows the police were not concerned with keeping mccoy alive. the family's attorney was not allowed to view the police body cam video. but harrison wants the video be released so the public can see what happened. 4's sara stinson is joining us now live with more. early morning commuters should allow for extra time on interstate highway 880 this week, when all southbound lanes of the freeway in hayward will be closed for four hours overnight for the next four days. the closures will accommodate installation of 880 express lanes signs, according to the metropolitan transportation commission. the first closure will be from 11:59 p.m. sunday to 4 a.m. monday morning, and continue for the same hours over the next three days, on monday, tuesday and wednesday. the closures will be for southbound lanes between winton avenue and highway 92. additional closures will take place on three days during the following week, on march 24, 25 and 26, for the same hours. while the work is taking place on southbound lanes, two left lanes of northbound interstate 880 also will be closed, from 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. the northbound lane closures will extend from just
