now we have some information on how this ah how their negotiations have been going so far now the negotiations and the contract last about a year for this is something they say that they are very much used to being in these type negotiation. the first time and you had this new haven. >>school districts 50 year history had to go ahead and strike. now again the been on strike for weekend teachers are not backing down from the demands of a pay raise amongst other things. now teachers want a 10% raise and the district is offering one percent for the next school year. >>we made a decision to go on strike at this time of year which means that we're not causing a district in the money when it comes to that and so we really wanted to make sure that we weren't high harming the district financially. and but on the other hand we're getting really close to graduation and a lot of kids are getting really anxious about things like finals a pee test and >>great and for college acceptance and so this is a really difficult time for kids.

traveling around to parts of the tri valley now also kid i got a note this area of rainfall on the peninsula to break down a couple of the spots right here so this is just south of pleasanton area of light rainfall that will impact you with some wet roads if you're heading south on 6.80 or north up to the tri valley on 6.80 and then on the peninsula, this is some moderate rainfall right here moving to the southeast about to impact you in woodside in redwood city in moments to come get a skirt just south of san mateo for the most part but to make for somewhat travel on to 80 as well one oh one. this morning and also if you're heading on 17 from san jose, a down to santa cruz. you're looking at this the top santa cruz mountains right there which is an area of moderates even isolated heavy rainfall. right a top 17 right there, current temperatures are in the 50's on the surface, these temperatures don't look that bad i mean mid to upper 50's that's a nice way to start your morning. but once you factor in those winds we do have a brisk wind chill factor this morning so get your jackets ready to go take

victim was sitting in his car when he was shot he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. police arrested the suspect after he crashed a car during the chase across the bay bridge into west oakland. neither the motive nor identities of the victim and suspect of yet to be released. it's been 3 years since a young girl vanished on her way to school yesterday family and friends gather to honor pearl pinson kron for bella was there. >>the parents and families spent their saturday here in the last place that pearl pinson was seen at 3 years ago before she was abducted. they're hoping if they take care of the pedestrian bridge that soon it will be named for pearl. >>family and friends of pearl pinson gathered saturday night for a candlelight vigil in her honor but before they could respectfully remember her the pedestrian bridge where the teen was last seen 3 years ago needed a little bit paint and several strings of pearls leaderless at least. >>3 cover all the graffiti
