but that will diminish as we get closer to the later morning hours. so san francisco seeing a beautiful day to go out to me take your dog for a walk go jogging winds will pick up later this evening though asked for a temperatures right now mid 50's out in fremont 65 in an e r 56 in valais how and 54 degrees currently in redwood city and we have a look here at our temperatures the rest of this evening will bump up to those mid 70's, if you live further inland around 10:00am. to the mid 80's there by lunchtime 89 degrees around 2 o'clock if you live in places like livermore and then we hit our daily high for the day and we are going to be above normal so you know what else you can expect the rest of this weekend. and also if you'r around for the full forecast marty back to you all right sounds good erica, thanks a lot let's get to the news this morning in the east bay alameda county fire officials say no one was hurt. >>in a 3 alarm fire last

night. it was reported about 9 45 friday night at a commercial building in san leandro the fire in fact was so big the firefighters had to evacuate people who live in the area of georgia way and he's 14th street. officials closed these 14th between brought more boulevard and davis street for a time, no reports of any injuries nor do we have the cause of the fire just yet. it was very emotional day in sacramento, a procession was held friday for a fall in sacramento police officer tara o'sullivan, police first responders and the community lined the streets as o'sullivan's body was taken from the coroner's office to a funeral home. the 26 year-old rookie was shot and killed wednesday night when she responded to domestic violence incident at a home i'll sullivan had been on the force for just 6 months. police say the suspect was barricaded inside that home and kept firing a rifle which they say is why it took nearly an hour for our first responders to reach o'sullivan. investigators

arrested this man in connection with her death is 45 year-old adele some brunell ramos and he's facing a murher charge. officers were essentially ambushed by the suspect and the result was him or during. one of our communities. police officers. police records show that ramos has a criminal history that spans 20 years the date and details of officer o'sullivan's funeral have not yet been released. we have another big story that we're following this saturday morning, nice rain set to begin tomorrow and major us cities that includes san francisco and other parts of the bay area as well as los angeles chicago, miami and new york among other cities. the raids will not be random they're expected to target the nearly 2000 families to receive court ordered removal notices back in february but have not yet complied in the bay area, several organizations and advocates are condemning the planned immigration raids. kron four's dan thorn has the details. possible ice raids in the bay

area have many on edge and advocacy groups are speaking out. >>this week. we have numerous families who are living in terror and fear of being deported and you have families who are. being split apart. you know right now we have children in cages so obviously this is a real fear and this is a real threat. >>the minute you spawn with the council on american islamic relations says the trump administration is trying to rile up his base by targeting undocumented immigrants. >>president has had no problem with separating families whether it be through on the bulk taliban or whether it be to deporting. families. >>the immigration institute of the bay area has also called out the potential enforcement saying the announcement stating there's no other choice but to round up immigrants is baseless and the country's largest statewide lgbtq civil rights organization equality california is asking people to step up and defend their undocumented immigrant neighbors. >>the very fact that we're

>>i remember it first arrived in the south bay in january of last year and in just one month out outbreak left 188 dogs sick in northern california. kron four's dan kerman reports there's now an outbreak at the oakland animal services department. outbreak of canine flu. the so far sickened 55 of the 108 dogs at oakland animal services. >>the shelter operators believe all of the dogs will likely become infected we discovered it on tuesday and have since had more confirmed case. and so we're working really hard to contain it. >>dog flu is highly contagious

and can be deadly. symptoms include sneezing coughing a high fever and low energy and it's easily passed from dog to dog or even dog to human to dogs anything that an infected dog touches. then becomes a potential source for infection for another dog. so that could be things out in the environment in the world. you can also be people's hands or clothing veterinarians say the best course of action for dog owners is to get your dog. the vaccine. the vaccine provides good protection for the strains of flu that we see in the event that your dog was exposed in does contract. the virus. it also proved that will lessen the symptoms the outbreak has already spread to the east bay spca and the oregon humane society because the oakland shelter, a knowingly transferred infected dogs there. now the focus is on containing the outbreak and to encourage people to. >>hold and animals that they

responders found a small plane engulfed in flames near the runway. honolulu's fire chief says the fire victims were at the airport when the crash happened. but they may not have seen the plane go down. this is the most tragic. >>aircraft incident that we had we had some helicopters with the military, but this is wants to create a fund for utilities in case they face massive liability costs from wildfires. state lawmakers are not yet on board with this new plan, however, san diego senator tony and can says any action taken needs to protect ratepayers and wildfire victims while also keeping electric service is available and reliable. other state leaders say the plan must be reviewed and discussed in public meetings. well the process hasn't started yet. but the governor wants the deal done by july 12th. a bay

area families working to raise money for a 3 year-old child who is fighting a rare medical condition. kron four's gayle ong has more. >>ever since san francisco resident else and paul ince's side was diagnosed with a medical condition. she has been a passionate advocate, raising awareness and money for people living with marfan syndrome. >>little james richardson loves to draw color and p e u. he showed me his gallery in his san francisco home. he's only 3 years old you never guess he living with a rare genetic condition. james was diagnosed with marfan syndrome when he was 2 years old marfan patients tend to grow very tall when multiple orthopedic issues, but it's what martin did to james's eyes and hard who does most concerning the big one we saw was his vision his lenses or dislocated in both of his eyes. >>which is common. i'm james

is also very tall and then it's very typical for those of with our fans to have long limbs and to have long fingers and toes too. >>now will mean marrow. >>that's right james is on medication to help with his heart condition. >>marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects connective tissue. in james's case it was a spontaneous mutation. his mother alice in poland says he also has problems with the skeletal system being a mom or dad is hard in the first place and managing a child with a chronic life threatening condition. >>can be challenging but we've realized over the past year since we found out about james's condition. what an amazing community we have ever since james as diagnosis allison has been fundraising and volunteering her time to advance research an advocate for those affected. >>by the medical condition last year she raised over $11,000 for the marfan foundation she'll be part of a

the city of san francisco's known for its architecture and especially its painted ladies. >>those victorian homes that can be seen across the city kron four's charles clifford talk to a woman who has made it her life's work to help preserve these urban treasures. >>well across san francisco, there are probably thousands of victorian style homes, especially on some of the residential areas and many of them have very elaborate 5 fantastic paint job to take a look behind me here there are a couple prime examples and mtny of these homes have actually been painted by the same person including that house right behind me there now her name is anita rick hearty. she has been painting victorian homes in san francisco for more than more than 20 years her company winning colors has worked on

canine flu is back in the bay area. you might remember it first arrived in the south bay in january of last year and in just one month that outbreak left 188 dogs, sick in northern california. kron four's dan kerman reports there's now an outbreak at the oakland animal services department. >>an outbreak of canine flu. so far sickened 55 of the 108 dogs at oakland animal services, the shelter operators believe all of the dogs will likely become infected we discovered it on tuesday and have since had more confirmed cases. >>and so we're working really hard to contain it.

welcome at kron 4 news weekend, san francisco's known for its architecture, especially it's painted ladies. those victorian homes can be seen across the city and kron four's charles clifford talked with the woman who has made it her life's work to help preserve these urban treasures. well across san francisco, there are probably thousands of victorian style homes, especially on some of the residential areas. >>and many of them have very elaborate 5 fantastic paint job to take a look behind me here there are a couple prime examples and many of these homes have actually been painted by the same person including that house right behind me there now her name is anita rick hearty. she has been painting victorian homes in san francisco for more than more than 20 years her company winning colors has worked on more than 400 victorians all around the city. we had chance to catch up with her this afternoon, she's working on a project over in the hate a

boulevard and davis street fortunately, no reports of any injuries nor cause nor do we have the cause of the fire just yet. it was an emotional day in sacramento as a procession was held on friday for fallen sacramento, police officer tara o'sullivan, police first responders and the community all lined the streets as o'sullivan is body was taken from the coroner's office to the funeral home. the 26 year-old rookie was shot and killed wednesday night as she responded to a domestic violence incident. o'sullivan had been on the force for just 6 months. police say the suspect was barricaded in a home and kept firing. >>which is why they say it took nearly an hour for them to investigators arrested this man in connection with her death. he is 45 year-old. >>adele some brunell ramos and he's facing a murder charge. officers were essentially ambushed by the suspect and the result was him or during. one of our communities. police officers. police records show

first arrived in the south bay in january of last year and in just one month the outbreak left 188 dogs sick in northern california. kron four's dan kerman reports there's now an outbreak at the oakland animal services department. an outbreak of canine flu. so far sickened 55 of the 108 dogs at oakland animal services. >>the shelter operators believe all of the dogs will likely become infected we discovered it on tuesday and have since had more confirmed cases. >>and so we're working really hard to contain it. >>dog flu is highly contagious and can be deadly. symptoms include sneezing coughing a high fever and low energy and it's easily passed from dog to dog or even dog to human to dogs anything that an infected dog touches. then becomes a potential source for infection for another dog. so that could be things out in the environment in the world. you can also be people's hands or clothing veterinarians say the

best course of action for dog owners is to get your dog. the vaccine. the vaccine provides good protection for the strains of flu that we see in the event that your dog was exposed in does contract. the virus. it also proved that will lessen the symptoms the outbreak has already spread to the east bay spca and the oregon humane society because the oakland shelter, a knowingly transferred infected dogs there. now the focus is on containing the outbreak and to encourage people to. >>hold on daniels if they can again an emergent situations we will take them, but the odds are that we take and i again it's going to get sick so we're really seeking help in preventing that from happening one more key point if your dog is showing signs of the flu and you have to bring it to the vet. >>what the vet know in advance and don't bring it right into the office make sure that that knows in advance, so it doesn't in fact other dogs in the waiting room. in oakland dan kerman kron 4 news.
