you to take, especially after there were 3 large fires in the east bay, just this week now i have some video of some of those 3 fires to tell you about i'm very a lot of warnings that surrounded all of those now we have the mitchell fire that was burning in contra costa county and is now 100% contained. it started burning near the top of mt blow a crime for a viewer sent us this video of the fire. it burned about 4 acres near senate road, no injuries or damages to any structures have been reported. now next up the fire crews have also contained a fire aboard a bnsf railroad train in uninc rporated county contra costa county as well that spread to grass and also a part of has that response wait tuesday night according to rodeo hercules fire district officials now the blaze was first reported 10 30 in the evening near crystal road which is not far from highway 4 and the franklin canyon golf course now fire crews arrived to see the blaze. fred a few acres and

good. thank you dave to get to breaking news. we're following this morning police in los angeles looking for a person who shot and killed. >>an off-duty police officer, a resident reported hearing some gunshots and the city's lincoln heights neighborhood and that's where police found the officer and another man had been shot. the other man is now in the hospital but his condition is unknown this morning and there's no word just yet on what led to the shooting. los angeles eric garcetti is calling this a senseless murder. new this morning in the east bay, the open public ethics commission says mayor libby shaft campaign except th illegal donations from the east bay property owner. an investigation found that 11 west partners llc donated $2400 more to chef's campaign than the legal limit of $800. investigators are recommending chief forfeit the money to the city's general fund and also pay a $600 penalty that's less than the usual penalty of

$1000. but the commission said because it came from several different entities all owned by the same company and because her campaign cooperated with the investigation and offered to give all the money back. they felt that the lesser penalty was sufficient. a bay area judges reduce a $2 billion award in a roundup weed killer has reduced that now monsanto will have to pay a livermore couple, $86.7 million instead of $2 billion in damages. the alameda county judge upheld the verdict that monsanto's weed killer caused the couples non-hodgkin's lymphoma but the but he reduce the payment because it was much higher than constitutional limits set by the supreme court. now this is the 3rd verdict against monsanto. judges had previously ruled that roundup caused cancer in the benicia school schools, grounds keeper and also a sonoma county man. the company plans to appeal all of those verdicts. news

department has approved a mega merger between t mobile and sprint the 26 and a half billion dollar deal would combine the nation's thirdand fourth-largest wired and wireless carriers to about 92 million subscribers but the new company would still be smaller than brise an atnt now if this deal goes through it could have a major impact right here in california, but before any of that can happen a legal dispute on the deal involving several states still has to be settled now, here's what's in the agreement both companies will spin off sprint's prepaid wireless business to dish. the satellite company will pay one billion for those subscribers which includes a boost mobile and virgin mobile customers dish will also pay 3 and a half billion dollars some of sprint's wireless airwaves. california attorney general javier becerra said friday that his team is ready to go to trial on this issue. california one of 14 states opposing the deal. sarah says

and they were checking the 4 zone forecast and also the a's ball park forecast too. marty thank you, let's get to some breaking news. we're following police in los angeles looking for the person who shot and killed an off-duty officer, one person reported hearing gunshots in the city's lincoln heights neighborhood overnight and that's where police found the officer and another man with gunshot wounds. the other man is now in the hospital his condition unknown this morning. and police have not released any word on what led up to the shooting. eli's mayor is calling this a senseless murder. new this morning, the oakland public ethics commission says mayor libby shaft campaign accepted the legal donations from the east bay property owner. an investigation found that 11 west partners llc donated $2400. more to chef's campaign than the legal limit of $800. investigators are recommending that she forfeit the money to the city's general fund and pay a $600 penalty that's less

than usual penalty of $1000. but the commission said because it came from several different entities owned by the same company and because her campaign cooperated with the investigation and offered all to give all the money back. they felt the lesser penalty was sufficient. national news this morning, we're just a few days away from the next democratic presidential debate and immigration is going to be one of the major issues ed lavendera has more on what we can expect. >>what happens here along the us southern border, casts a long shadow over the 2020 presidential election. and democrats are pushing their own immigration vision in the age of trump. >>the president thinks that he can turn people against immigrants in order to distract them from the things that are making it so hard to get ahead in this country right. >>with constant theme for most democrats is they are the opposite of president trump vowing to end what they see as trump using immigrants to stoke the fears of americans.
