this community 20 people that will be honored and remembered in the coming days, reporting live in el paso. >>for that live report coming and we're learning more about the latest mass shooting this one in downtown dayton ohio it happened overnight, we know what happened at a popular shopping entertainment district. investigators say one man with a rifle weari body armor and carrying extra magazines opened fire around 1 o'clock this morning. 9 people were killed 26 others were injured. police responded quickly killing the gunman within a minute. the mayor dayton spoke early this morning saying this is a day she hoped would never come door city. >>look as as a mayor, this is a day that we all dread happening and what's very sad is i've gotten messages from cities across the country is that so many of us have gone through it. today is the 250 of message shooting in america. it's a sad sad that it's in the city of dayton.

that we see the shot from u c berkeley this morning really covering up all the shrubbery we usually see a little bit uncertain can see the east today. >>shoreline at all, here's the golden gate bridge, no surprise completely fog in with all of this a little bit more aggressive this morning that it was from yesterday as temperatures will drop ever so slightly today compared to yesterday in the some of those inland valleys, here's the progress of the fog well inland as you will see mixes out as we approach around the noon hour still covering the coast in both the north bay point re and on the peninsula coast as well only to return again monday morning and to greet us very early as you can see spilling on to the east bay shoreline a little bit down to san jose as you'll notice down there the valley there as well as it does up to wine country to the north of napa temperatures as we speak now lower 60's by and large are some upper 50's up to the north bay 66, antioch 65 meanwhile for san jose and san francisco checks in at 56 beautiful sunrise happening in seoul, nice deep blue skies

holding a news conference right now 9 people were killed and 26 injured in a shooting early this morning in dayton. let's list let's listen in. >>in association with the mass casualty incident here in downtown dayton. that mobilize our entire team. our facility received a total of 16 patients which 12 have already been treated and released. we do have a total of 4 patients that are currently emitted and one remains in critical condition. some of those patients have undergone or will undergo surgery later today. we are continuing to support the many families who are arriving in our facility. and our thoughts and prayers are certainly with all of those families we worked in conjunction with other facilities in the area to identify and communicate information in time matter to these families. >>great next we'll have a little bit long is from kettering health network. and

kettering health network is a health system with 9 hospitals. we received patients at 3 of our 9 hospitals. and grandview medical center which is in dayton. received the most we had 9 people treated. 7 were brought in by squad and 2 walked in of those 9 patients. are in a serious condition. 3 are in fair condition. 3 were treated and then discharged. 2 were taken to surgery immediately. one person is still being considered for surgery. the injuries, ranged from a gunshot wound to the lower extremities to abdominal wounds. one person came in for. laceration. to afford

that happened during the a during the chaos right after right after that incident at kettering medical center flagship hospital one person was brought in and is in serious condition. and it's medical center 2 people all were brought in and were treated and then released. want to commend. our hospital staff all the way from ari our physicians and nurses and technicians to the people who came in right away when we called the code yellow alerting people well we want just want to commend them for for the great job. they did also commending a city of dayton police and all first responders so we know they're on the first line in that the first line of treatment for people coming in. so we just wanted commend them for a job well done. next we have an

we're sending you out to the pacific. hawaii we're talking about these 2 tropical systems. that's flossie that's the one we get to watch now. and it looks like it may be potentially a little bit of a player for some weather in hawaii over the about the next 24 or so hours that's going to project this max winds now 45, it's a tropical storm becoming a tropical depression that becomes a tropical low you'll note. max winds of 35 this will be by tomorrow evening now our time. but there you can see the projections now the sagging a little to the south of this trend keeps up of course there might be perhaps a a a an eye wall or land fall. perhaps in some of the wine island, so it looks like it may potentially deliver now some weather to the wine islands, somewhat directly although hopefully the i will still stay out to sea. swells will come with it as well, here's a look at what we got on the home front again that fog covering up a good portion of the shrubbery usually we can see of the east bay shoreline from the shot from u c berkeley in the bay off to the distance while we have a lot of mixing for that

they bird shot, it's overcast skies off to the diance h about those temperatures lower 60's line of the east bay shoreline antioch 66 50's up here to the north bay. it's actually a touch more mild one on as we see for today a couple degrees warmer. then yesterday, the pocket here off to the deltas that had called in this morning. so we've got some more bay fog going on for san francisco, but mostly sunny again except around the sensitive areas around the golden gate or so they'll be a little tougher. a touch cooler inland still we might see a couple 90's pop this week temperatures dropping off cooling to the middle 80's for this time of year not too bad. the next week and what we have another little warm up and maybe revisit 90 or so highs today. excuse me there they are brown 91 or so conquered antioch at 91 80's cover up here the north bay 84 covering for san jose today, we'll say 67 for san francisco, 74 for a open 84 meanwhile for san jose. there is a look at the 7 day forecast and you can see temperatures return to the 80's even lower 80's through

injured. the shooter was killed by police at the scene and then just hours before that shooting a gunman opened fire in el paso texas killing 20 people and injuring 26 others. the suspect in texas is in jail. he's been booked on capital murder. it has been a very deadly weekend in america as 29 people have been killed 52 people injured over a 13 hour period in those 2 mass shootings in texas and ohio, gavin ross now has the latest from dayton. >>just a heartbreaking scene out here in downtown dayton, this is a very popular nightlife destination. the oregon district will step aside you can see officers still out here processing the scene the police presence is down a little bit they've been out here since about 1 o'clock this morning. that's when this all started now it's happened outside a popular bar called ned peppers hearing the oregon district. police responded in less than a minute. after reports of shots fired outside of that bar. now in that short time that shooter is able to

allegedly killed 9 people and injure another 26. we're also learning that suspected shooter was wearing body armor at the time and possibly using a high powered to 23 caliber rifle and had extra magazines. now we did speak to a local hospital merrick here they say they've treated at least 13 people from this incident all of them had wounds to the lower body. at least one was shot in the stomach. and 2 were treated and released. mayor telling us that this certainly could have been much worse situation at least not responded so quickly. >>want to think about that a minute. it's the officers were not in the oregon district. the officers were there less than a minute from the beginning of the shooting. this on. the shooter was able to kill 9 people and injured 26. in less than a minute. and if we police in the oregon district. and the thousands of

another gunman walked into a walmart in el paso texas and opened fire killing 20 people injuring 26 others. the gunman was arrested by police and we're told he is cooperating with investigators. sources told cnn that the fbi has opened a terrorist case against him and he's already been charged with capital murder. texas governor greg abbott says they are also pursuing hate crime charges against the gunman. people in el paso jumped into action to help one another as best they could following the shooting there were massive calls for blood donations. so many people however came forward that blood banks had to turn people away. these new tragic developments come as a community of gilroy remembers the lives lost during the garlic festival shooting as today marks just one week since that heartbreaking incident. we want to go live to kron four's christina tape cho who was there at the scene as people are preparing to return to christmas hill part today to pick up what they left behind christina.

bakersfield. fresno one oh 4 no mistaking it's still summer 97 going on for sacramento, central coast, mid or rather upper 60's, 76 santa barbara 75 l a x 81 for san diego, not a whole lot happens on our maps here for today. you know some scattered cloud cover and so forth so we get to tomorrow morning. there's the fog and moderate they in the bay area. some scattered clouds making note. this is the high starting to weaken a little bit. so start to get some scattered clouds thrown in here in cooler temperatures anyway. this is now tuesday morning there you see the coverage read across the base so temperatures backing off a little bit by the time we get to midweek 4 zone forecast today, 67 san francisco on the coast are still looking at kind of stubborn mid 60's, they'll be some stubborn fogginess too upper 60's, some middle to lower 70's for the northern and down south we still have the 80's hiding out 81 redwood city 84 from mountain view and while we're at it some 80's also to the south bay. morgan hill popping at 91 84 for san jose

shot the gunman in less than a minute after he opened fire. the shooter was killed at the scene. 13 hours before that incident, the ohio before the ohio shooting another gunman walked into a wal-mart in el paso texas and opened fire. he killed 20 people and injured 26 others. the gunman has been arrested by police we are told he is cooperating with investigators. hospital officials there say they recently held a drill to prepare for something like this and they're making sure that counselors are also on hand to help the families and victims of an all also employees after the adrenaline rush and as we start to process exactly what happened. >>i think people are going to be able to deal with in their own way in their own time. and we want to make sure that we're there in a before. >>federal sources say investigators are reviewing an online writing that was posted days before the shooting that may speak to a motive from the gunman. democratic presidential candidate beto o'rourke is a from el paso he also represented that area in

that before looks like a lot of sharing with the 2, but that's weakening exiting stage getting back to floss the max winds at 40 it's barely a tropical storm expected to be downgraded to a tropical depression. probably this afternoon. there you can see a dropping off of that tropical low but the storm track is sending it a little further south and more of a threat to why even in a weakened state so the surge is going to continue the high surf and even some torrential rains are possible with just getting a portion of this storm in landfalls not completely out of the out of the cards, max winds at around 30 by a tuesday morning at 05:00am our time so early week. this storm is going to be watched carefully out there back on the home front this is where the fog progress is this is alcatraz island off to the distance, here's the about here so and then the skyline will be behind that the bay bridge shot again having the fog but up against the east bay hills as you will notice there and temperatures warming up nicely and 69 antioch 65

per concord lower 60's line up the east bay shoreline with 50's up to the north bay 65 meanwhile for san jose that puts us a couple degrees ahead of what we were this time from yesterday for the peninsula, the south bay. but the east bay actually a little cooler this morning up to the delta as you will see as well. scenario we're looking at is that morning fog in san francisco and and some spots may be stubborn and not live to well we'll call it mostly sunny though into the afternoon. a touch cooler inland, but still some 90's here and there which will be investigating this week we got a little bit of a minor cooling trend getting us back to the middle to potentially lower 80's inland. not that little break in august here and then into next weekend a little bit of a warm-up are turning to about 90 nothing too crazy added far as 100 plus it doesn't look like a immediately in the immediate forecast lower 90's off to the east bay 88 livermore a lot of 80's appear the north bay valais host stands out at 69 little bit of influence for that leftover fog 67 san
