are some new features at this year's festival in addition to increase security in and around the park. this is also the first year that the city has issued permits to marijuana businesses to operate inside golden gate park and to designate designate an area of the festival grounds for people to use pot products. >>buying and using pot inside the festival is only allowed in the grasslands area and keep in mind you must be 21 or older to enter. well security of course is at the top of everyone's mind at this year's festival and there was a visible increase in security on day one at the outside lands. kron four's christina tape cho is live in golden gate park this morning looking into how those security measures worked on day one and what to expect today day 2 christina good morning time.

>>here 36 in fulton, this is one of the many main entrances to golden gate park for this music festival. obviously very large area for different organizations to secure you can actually also see behind me we've got to barricades and security guards up there even hours before because or festivities start today at 11:00am this is also what it looked like yesterday. all of the entrances to the park very secure knowing that they're going to be hundreds of thousands of people today. this is the start and they've now the second day of the 12 annual outside lands music festival. city leaders as well police officers here in the city of san francisco has said added police security that is what they're going to be doing this year. organizers are expecting over 210,000 attendees this year as a part of the security plan police chief william scott of san francisco said more officers and private security guards will be place not only in the

festival visibly and as well as undercover but also in the surrounding areas here around the park and different neighborhoods around there. now out to scott also said there is a new evacuation place in center for evacuation order in place for this event as well something that all police force is a well aware of in case of an emergency and they said even if you're going to the concert event for you live nearby the city encourage you to sign up for its emergency text alerts by texting outside lands to 8, 8, 0, 0, no security was a big topic of conversation for day one and lot of the attendees though so excited for this event still having some uneasy feelings about the recent mass shootings and so a little bit on edge going to such a large event couldn't take a listen to what some of them said. >>and we talked about like he revealed to be big open white meat

well bart will be running more and longer trains this weekend for those traveling outside lands and other events in the city. bart says it will not be single tracking anywhere in the system this weekend either it will still run a sunday schedule, but after 07:00pm will be sending out additional vent trains for people who are leaving outside lands, festival goers should get off of the civic center station and then take new kne s and judah line or 5 are rapid bus line muni says both of those lines will have additional service as well and after this weekend, bart riders can expect several weekends, a bar delays as they'll be shutting down tracks for repair work. coming up on kron 4 news weekend fire crews in the east bay were out late last night fighting a fire that threatened homes for a time we'll have the latest for you on that. >>plus new details on the el paso mass shooting after police say the suspected shooter has made several chilling confessions to them about his motives and then how the aging demographics of bay

expected and burlingame and then the 83 possibly here in woodside upper 60's, our upper 70's rather for redwood city and from mountain view later on this afternoon. and then the south bay this we're going to see a whole lot of low 80's. today 80 degrees expected in downtown san jose 82 for a high in morgan hill and los gatos and then as we a move further inland book about pleasanton and livermore a high of 80 degrees in all 77 lower 70's at the bay and then 75 enter into today while the creek in concord you're going to be in the low 80's and then as head further north sonoma and both at 80 degrees napa 77 low 80's for vacaville and for fairfield this afternoon. we're looking at 60's if you're going to be heading out towards the beaches point re 60 to a high of 64 in stinson beach but a further inland, we're looking at upper 70's for petaluma and nevado your seven-day around the bay forecast. we are seeing a
