to lose a lot a lot of money. and the victims really the victims families really should be compensated if you get millions of dollars for their losses in that couldn't even begin to compensate them for their loss. but something it isn't spoken about very much is that max being exonerated. that's going to help those families cases their civil suit against the city. california. it's called comparative negligence state when there's a lawsuit for negligence and max was a defendant. the city's a defendant, a family they're all defendants. if the jury were to find that civil suit if the jury were to find. max what's a 50% liable for their losses. well, then 50% of the total award of money is going to have to come out of knox's pocket. my son have any money.

so i'm max being exonerated in this case that's going to reduce is significantly reduce if not entirely is civil liability. and so what that means in turn is that the plaintiffs in that case the family members of the victims. they now have a more direct route to. the purse strings of the city. the city is going to be found to be more liable because of max's exoneration so this really benefits the family members and i'm sure that that's hard. maybe that's a hard for them to swallow really this does benefit them in a financial sense. >>the civil trial is expected to begin in the spring of 2020. we have continuing coverage on the go ship verdict over on our website you'll find reaction from the district attorney's office and from victims family members plus what's next for derick almena since the jury did not decide his fate. it's all over

diabetes. in our health expert karen along joins me this morning to talk about this carrot i've never heard a brain diabetes and i'm sure it's a surprise to a lot of our viewers right right in and it's gaining is a yes so researchers in the experts are seeing this progression of type 2 diabetes. >>to alzheimer's and other types of and they're calling it brain diabetes or type 3 diabetes. what happens in type 2 diabetes to what's happening is is that on says those brain cells are becoming in sensitive to insulin. so it's not getting nourishment is admitting glucose into that neurons to him and then that's memory loss and difficulty learning. >>and now there's the possibility that this may be an indicator of alzheimer's. >>oh yes, yes, definitely, definitely in there seeing that type 2 diabetes. i mean if you have type 2 diabetes or 50 to 65% more likely to have
